I'm pretty sure that would be the case.

In fact, it should mean your phone is in a box (or bubble pack) waiting to be picked up or in transit somewhere out there.

I hope so it wouldn't make any sense then

has ur tracking updated yet?

Very upset. I'm waiting for SOMEONE to pick up so I can get some answers.

Unless you like to get bad news, I'd hang up the phone now.

Reading most of the 10,000+ posts in this thread have taught me that the TMobile CSRs are in the dark more than we are.

You have better luck posting your info here so the "veterans" can analyze it and give you an answer based on everyone's collective experience during this traumatizing time :)

So, after receiving the disappointing call from a T-Mobile rep, I responded to the generic email sent from Legere's office with this:

I appreciate the generic follow-up.

However, the lack of communication at T-Mobile is very concerning. I preordered my device on 9/12 at 9am EST. I did have a representative from your office call me, but while she was very nice, the call wasn't helpful whatsoever. She insisted on telling me that because I "chose" ground shipping, there is no chance I would have my device come today (Friday, 19th) or even Monday. She also stated she had no knowledge that Tmobile was shipping devices via an overnight method. However, I received this text from T-Mobile: September 18th 11:20am EST- "Free T-Mobile Msg: We are shipping iPhone orders today using overnight delivery. Check www.mytmobile.com for tracking information."

I was also told via a T-Mobile SMS that I would receive shipping info in 1-2 days... this was over 48 hours ago.

Let me be honest, it's not the fact that I don't have my phone. It's the fact that it seems that NO ONE knows what the hell is truly going on with my order, or thousands of others. When I "preorder" something, I expect to have it on the street date, but I understand that technicalities happen. Just keep me in the loop so I can plan my day accordingly, instead of waiting around for a UPS guy so I can sign for my package.

Here is a link to a 400-page MacRumors thread about exactly how awful this preorder experience has become for some of us.

I just want to know where my phone is that I paid for.

Yeah man, they literally know nothing more than you do. It's been proven previously. Just keep checking automated system and sign up for myUPS.

Nope.. it shows label created this morning when searching by reference. Still shows Monday delivery.

The only glimmer of hope is that when our tracking numbers get updated, by some miracle, it may change the expected delivery date to Saturday. There was at least one other person here who has a Sat. expected delivery but with "standard" UPS Next Day Air (the other guys who got Sat. delivery have UPS Expedited Delivery service)

Anyone else find it strange that the phones are being shipped in bubble envelopes? Not that it really matters, but my box was pretty dinged up.

Yeah, what the F was up with that? Let's ship $1400 phones in a bubble mailer. Good call T-Mo!

Just got the same model! I am getting used to the size, and it's really starting to grow on me. It's only been a few hours, and my 5 already feels much smaller than it used to. The only problem I'm having is that I usually support my phone with my pinky on the bottom when I'm using it one handed, but the heft of the phone makes my pinky hurt after about 30 min of use.

that's how i hold my phones too and my hands are tiny, *****

It frustrates me to no end knowing that I ordered one on the 14th and I've yet to be charged. Ugh. This is a nightmare.

The only reason I'm trippin' is because I get all worried I put in my CC info in wrong, haha

Maybe its the model that you ordered? I understand the 16GB are higher in stock then the 64GB or 128GB. In fact, my buddy who works at T-Mobile says his stock of 64GB was sold out quicker then any other sizes. Specifically the Gray one.

The phone that got charged on my credit card is a 128GB, Space Gray 6+. Still waiting on the 64GB Gold and 16GB Silver 6+'s to get charged

It's definitely going to take some adjusting. It's big, like stupid big. What I can tell you though is that for how gigantic it is, it feels really comfortable in the hand. Androids feel awkward when they are that large. This feels nice to hold.

I got it in an Apple Leather case. For the love of God, make sure you get it in a case like two seconds after boxing. It's quite slippery. And the antenna breaks don't look bad at all in my opinion. It's unnecessary wining. Also, best display I've ever seen on an Apple device, and maybe even on any mobile device for that matter.

What color case and phone? I ordered a red one and a brown one. I picked up a student's Note 3 yesterday because he left it behind... God it was huge and unwieldy to hold. Comparing that experience to the case, I can see why Jony Ive said all the stuff he did about wanting to get large displays right.

I won't make a judgement just yet because I haven't actually held the actual device (only the case)... But from what I've seen and felt, I think he's done it just fine.

I don't mind the antenna breaks either, from the pics I've seen.

So why I get a email from t-mobile saying my phone is back ordered the date is Sept 13 I'm like okay what so I look at the date the email is sent which is today. Know im not bugging cause I received the email the first time after it processed on the 13th. Wth am I getting a repeated email after yall just took my money well it's a pending charge but yeah its weird

So if my phone already left Kentucky heading to LA, would I be able to pick up tommorow instead of delivery on Monday ?

Here's my situation, maybe someone here can help shed some light:

* iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Space Gray
* Status: Backordered
* Ordered: 9/12 at 7:00pm est online
* Jump upgrade (old jump)
* Backordered 9/13 at 3:00 am
* Received the 9/22-9/30 email/text
* No charges pending or otherwise on my card yet
* No reference tracking results with my phone number
* No UPS my choice results

I know I ordered just about the most in demand version as well as much later on in the day. I think regardless of the fact that I got the 9/22-9/30 email I'm pretty screwed. Unfortunately I'm expecting to wait well into October maybe possibly even touching November, if it comes any sooner I'll be pleasantly surprised. I'm dropping jump after I get this phone and when it comes time to get my next phone I'm buying it in full from Apple directly.

Well, it's 8pm and I'm officially giving up for today. Why get my hopes up with 3 messages that say it's coming today? So disappointing. :(

From my own personal experience with UPS, I'd say no.

Like a hundred pages back, there was one guy that said he was arguing with UPS about it, but the bottom line was "no".

Black. I bought a black leather case for the iPhone 5s I had before, and I'm sure glad I did. The lighter colors seem to rub off more and look bad over time from dings, scratches, and general wear. Though I did notice, Apple must have figured that out because all of the cases are significantly darker this time around (the leather at least).

Also, I found it quite funny that they had a dedicated employee working the case wall at the Apple Store today. That was his one job (and he didn't mess it up).

I just got a txt from TMO saying my order has shipped via UPS, followed by a tracking number that is all numeric. When I plug it in at UPS, it says incorrect format.. :confused:

Anyone else get the same message ? I tried USPS too and it says 'not available'

I got the same text as well. Tracking # starts with 748**** .. it says shipped via UPS, another T-Hell of pre-order updates.

I gotta keep checking ups cause t-mobile ain't no help which is freaking sad don't be taking my money and not shipping my stuff after the guy told me they don't take the money until ur order is shipped.
