I stand corrected! Apparently, you just can't do JUMP! upgrades online w/ Apple.

I, like many others, decided to camp for the new iPhone due to the pre-order failure that I faced. I am a current T-Mobile subscriber and was kindly informed by the apple representatives that if I wanted to purchase from Apple I would only be able to purchase outright (full retail) and that they would not be supporting the Jump! program at this time.

When I received my "pass card" i was once again informed of this being my only option, they even made sure everyone knew that ATT Next would not be offered..

Yet here I am typ my on my 6 that I paid exactly $99 for.

I was my reps first T-Mobile customer of the day (at approx 12pm) but was offered to use my Jump upgrade almost immediately.. He evaluated my old device and after handing him the $99 deposit for the 64gb model I was on my way.

I can only assume this was something he should not have done? Did anyone else get lucky today?

This is nothing new.

Apple stores have been processing upgrades through T-Mobile Jump, AT&T Next and Verizon Edge since August with no problem.

T-Mobile doesn't know how to track inventory.

But, I wish you luck.

Sorry, I just realized that was sarcastic and not helpful. It just seems Tmo is shipping phones to people and stores by their own brand of dart board priority, and no one knows who is getting anything until it shows up at the door.

Those that have reported getting them in store on Fri. or Sat., got them by sheer luck and good timing, like a truck just dropped a few off.

If you can do full price or Barclay's financing, an Apple store is probably your best bet.

Some stores will do it, some stores won't. From what my store told me, it's still in the pilot program and is rolling out to all the stores. Both the apple stores (basically the only two in Missouri :rolleyes:) aren't able to do it yet.
 
So my order status just changed to "Shipped"

I've given up hope that maybe my Christmas present will be a tracking number. And my birthday present in January will be my 6+. :cool:
 
Anyone know if tmobile's shipments require a signature?

In my area the UPS guy doesn't even bother to ring to doorbell so I would assume it is entirely variable. If you have had to sign for pricey packages before, then most likely you'd have to sign for this one.
 
A thought for those who are now being told they are backordered until October or November. This may be the case....or CSR may have been told to advance that date instead of anything sooner so as to temper expectations. Many people have received credits and other forms of apologies for being told an earlier date and no phone arriving on that date. So telling people their phone will ship October or November, instead of Sept. 25 or 30th, might help avoid those high expectations that t-mobile can't meet.

Or maybe I've been victimized for so long that I am now a t-mobile apologists who makes excuses for their behavior!
 
Are those of us in the 64gb 6+ jump camp who received the "shipping 9/22-9/30" text STILL in the dark? I've got no communication since then, no charges, no shipping, etc.

Same boat, this is getting frustrating. Haven't heard anything since that text, no CC charge, not even a 1$ hold, nothing. My hopes are quickly dissipating.

Its a shame they sent out so man 22-30 texts. Looking at a T-mobile forum, people are already raising hell and the exec line has been posted. I feel bad, but not that bad.

If I found out that everyone got the same messages, then I could see the mistake. I got 3 messages that I was getting my phone on Friday, not 9/22-9/30, and apparently it meant nothing. What makes me mad is that my order keeps getting pushed back everytime I inquire, after expecting it on Friday. Of course, I realize I'm preaching to the choir but no one at tmobile seems to care.

9-14 Ordered Gold 6 and SG 6plus both 64's
9-17 Got a Canceled phone call sorry but don't know why, I reordered and the gave me a free overnight upgrade. The order said delivery will be 9-23?
Robo lady and online say processing. No tracking.

9-22 Called and the CSR said your order is "submitted" and you should get it tomorrow tracking and such will go out today or tonight. I questioned him and he said " your GOLD 6 AND 6 PLUS will be delivered tomorrow. GOLD haha I didn't order a GOLD 6 plus but that may have saved me.

I will let you know if it comes.
 
Unbelievable! My phone arrived in Portland Friday and was scheduled to be delivered this morning. UPS status early this morning was "out for delivery". Checked two hours ago and the status was changed to "address illegible, rescheduled". Quickly changed my delivery option to "will call - today". The Ups site stated I'd receive a phone call within one hour for current status. The hour passed and as I was thinking about calling UPS, their truck stopped in front of the house. Met the driver and my package wasn't on the truck (he left the distribution center this morning without it). He phoned the distribution center and they are currently trying to locate it!

What are my odds they will find it prior to closing tonight?
 
This should be so embarrassing for Tmobile BUT they don't give a damn cuz at the end of the day they're still gonna make their millions. And some of us are so far into this process that we are stuck now.

You shouldnt be too bad but honestly i'd check t-mobile stores around your area. All the stores around me have plenty of 6's just no 6+ anywhere.
