I only gave money for the 16 GB plus, so could I get one from the t-mobile store and then cancel my preorder in store Friday morining

My understanding once you pre order you can't do a return until after you receive your device. Or at least you might if it hasn't shipped yet. You would have to re purchase a new device on release day and return your pre order after you get it. Of course if you upgraded or jumped that would factor in a lot of what you can and can't do as well. If your concerned if your order won't come through I urge you to relax. Remember we have all waited several months for this another week won't kill us.

Concern for me is that t-mobile said that orders placed on Saturday will ship in 6 weeks, when I will be out of town. Orders placed on friday should ship by Friday or the week after. I placed my order Friday, didn't sign EIP until Saturday, so I'm wondering if it will ship in Friday or Saturday group.

You are wasting your time talking to CS reps, as you are finding out. Go into a T-Mobile store and have them straighten it out for you.

did you have the same issue? and were u able to get it resolved in store? thanks

Same with me called tmobile to verify and rep says my order is not in the system which is weird because I can see it on my end. Says my order number S0008***** is not even showing up in their system, which leaves me concerned.

Can you cancel a preorder?

I heard from a birdie you can as long as it hasn't shipped.
Also I heard from a tech if you dont have the full amount in your account for them to take out the phone will not ship.

I won't--I want the EIP for this phone and you can only do that through T-Mobile. I have considered going to my T-Mo store, but I doubt they will have much stock, especially in capacities higher than 16GB. So I guess I am going to need to be patient this week...

That was my understanding, until a T-Mobile rep told me on twitter if as a JUMP customer I'm upset that I don't have priority because their systems were down, I should cancel my order and re-order before the promo ended. I've also had a phone rep tell me I can't cancel once the order is submitted.

I think due to their systems acting completely dumb and for my phone now possibly shipping out very late I should do what I want. Reason for cancel is because YOU dropped the ball on us.
 
A rep told me that I couldn't cancel my order because it had already been fully processed. The only way to cancel would be to reject the delivery. But they also said since i was able to order so early on Friday (4:30am, not with jump) that mine would ship ON the 19th

This whole ship ON 19th is really getting to me. I've been with AT&T and both had my phone delivered on the launch day and once the day before. Why are these people waiting to the very last minute. I should wait to the last minute for paying these jerks lol
 
LOL I don't mind getting it a couple days after launch. I just can't deal with anything more than a week! hopefully they were right.

This whole ship ON 19th is really getting to me. I've been with AT&T and both had my phone delivered on the launch day and once the day before. Why are these people waiting to the very last minute. I should wait to the last minute for paying these jerks lol

Sorry if I missed this, but where did the ship ON the 19th idea come from? As you point out, shouldn't they ship on the 18th, with those who selected Next Day Air getting them launch day?

Multiple reps have told us (a couple folks on twitter. Myself included) They're shipping out on Friday which IMO is ridiculous

I've been on TMO prepaid for a couple of years, but decided to get a new 6+ 64 on EIP and the Simple Starter Plan. That means that, for all intents and purposes, Tmobile thinks I'm a new customer. I get the very low-information new customer status screen that only said "Order Placed". The entire down payment and sales tax has been preauthorized to my card and they've already run my credit. Finally, when I call the order status 800 number it says "Backordered".

I have no idea when I'll get my phone which sucks, but it is what it is. I ordered around 1pm Pacific on Friday.

Thats totally your choice too, go ahead and pay them on the last day. What's the big deal if you have to wait one more day for your phone? Sheesh.

Ordered 1:30pm pacific Friday also and I'm backordered. No ETA

It's not one more day! They're saying it's possibly 6 weeks!
