I am a supervisor at a call center myself and although it's a completely different business, what the reps are telling people is the information coming from emails sent to them by either myself or someone higher than me (probably the case in this kind of high call volume situation). There are probably a few reps who are just not as good as others and either a) didn't read the email properly or b) are just incompetent. Just try to be nice to the reps when you call because they have been dealing with high call volume for 4 days now and they should (key word) be giving you all of the information they have. If you wanted the phone on launch day without question, a better option would have been to wait outside of an Apple Store. I did this for the iPhone 4 and it was actually a cool experience.

i Guess the 6+ is this ys gold iphone, we all know that wont be in any stores at release, at least nothing other than the 16gb space gray

Hopefully we will see some updates today or tomorrow. I will be okay if I dont get the phone this Friday, but I would like to at least get some type of an ETA.

its funny cause the lady told me that when they take inventory of what they have they'll start shipping orders out but you would thing these ****ers know how many iPhones they ordered lol

I just hope the service is decent after all this. I am a new customer switching to TMO from ATT after listening to John Legere talk his bs all year long. TMO definitely had a train wreck of a weekend, but I'll wait to pass judgment until I evaluate the service.

The problem with this method is that it is not possible to get the iPhone on EIP at the Apple store

Good clarification of the state of Pre-Orders

Not sure if this has already been posted in this myriad of conversation, but I thought this article was a good sum-up of what I've read on twitter, in this forum thread, and many others, and all over the internet.

http://www.tmonews.com/2014/09/t-mos-response-to-customers-admirable-jump-priority-explained/

It sounds like there is still concern, but not as concerning as we had thought (hopefully).
I do not share this guys admiration for T-Mobile however this is the first collection of news I've seen that makes sense. My order along with others are all screwed up as well, with BackOrdered Status, CS reps not knowing anything, and shipping dates set to 9/16. Frusterated as hell, especially being a Jump customer, but we'll see what the week unfolds. Once T-Mobile receives inventory from Apple, I think we'll start getting more answers as to when we'll be getting our iPhone 6's. I like T-Mobile a lot, but this pre-order non-sense, was pretty brutal, and being a Jump customer that ordered an iPhone 6, if I don't get mine on Friday, I am going to seriously consider jumping to another carrier...

This link works for me; it will ask you to log in first: https://my.t-mobile.com/OrderStatus.aspx?rp.Logon=true

This URL (which is from the "Shop" part of My Tmobile) also works but it seems to be a different order status page. Not sure what thats about but their systems seem pretty discombobulated: https://account.my.t-mobile.com/myphone/checkorder.html

The second URL seems to work for me. I placed an order in shore and.cam only check the status with the second one. Make sure you are logged in first though or you will be redirected back to the first URL.

Can you tell me information you received? I am still 'fighting' with t-mobile try to get this resolved without going to the back of the line. Thanks!

When I spoke with customer care about this, they transferred me to web sales/sales support. I explained the situation fully (that I didn't initiate the trade in over the phone when I placed the order etc--and that the sales rep didn't even ask me to initiate it). The rep I spoke to explained that because the phone was showing as backordered in their system it doesn't consider the order number to be valid yet. She said that once the phone is in stock/ships/received it should work at that point. If you think about it, it makes sense--it wouldn't be smart of the system to allow you to get trade in value for a phone when your new phone is on backorder. Though this phone is *hopefully* not on true backorder, I was satisfied where her reply.

I also have a rep at a local T-Mo store who I have worked with in the past and she has been super helpful in straightening out billing and other issues. i emailed her about it and am confident that if I still have issues with it after the iPhone 6 is shipped/received, she can help me out.

The worst case scenario at this point is that I can't get the T-mo trade in to work; but I have some quotes from Buy Back World and Gazelle worth close to what T-Mo is offering. If I really, really can't get the $350 T-Mo is offering, I'll be annoyed and disappointed but it won't be the end of the world. In other words, its not worth me canceling my order and resubmitting at this point.

Am I crazy for not knowing where people got the expectation that they'll receive ANY iphone on launch day without camping out or lining up at stores? Jump, no Jump, priority, no priority, I have never preordered an ios device and gotten it on launch day. Not my first two iphones and one ipad through ATT, and not my current tmobile 5S. And each time prior to this debacle I've been able to order at or shortly after 3am. It's never made any difference so I certainly don't expect to have it on Friday when I wasn't able to order until 5:30pm.

Have you guys really been able to preorder and get a device at launch? I figure that MOST of us won't, no matter what time we preordered, and that would've been true even if TMo's systems hadn't failed. And if you ordered a Plus, forget it. Why would Tmobile be different when that thing is backordered 4-6 weeks almost everywhere else?

Just trying to keep things in perspective. I don't much care whether I get it Friday as long as I get it. I don't have time or desire to camp out or drive from store to store for the exact color and size I want. Who am I racing against, lol.

I don't think I've ever done a pre-order and not gotten my order on launch day, so I don't know what you're on about.

Did anyone call over the phone, and not get the option for delivery besides ground & if so what time was it?

Eip problems

anyone in the same boat as me or know what to do

ive talked to like 10 reps ans still no resolution

preordered iphone 6+ Friday about 10:58am

got the order received email and the order backordered the next day

my order still shows as processing and has not been charged for anything, not even the $1

tmobile reps say they are waiting to comfirm my eip signature (like waiting for me to respond through the email)

but I filled out the EIP sig during checkout process, and the tmobile email says here is a copy of your signed EIP agreement

any ideas?

Are there any new customers who have anything other than "order placed" as their order status? I know the next step is supposed to be "order processing" but mine hasn't changed since the first day and I don't know if it will since we get such limited information.

I already got from other comments that other people have had different experiences to mine. Still kinda doubt I'm the only person who's ever had a backorder happen to them. Just explaining why I'm not going to be busting out the pitchforks if it does. Good luck to everybody on getting yours Friday!

I have the same thing. Are you a new customer? Our Order Status page is much less detailed than the order status page that current t-mobile customers see under their account.

It's really infuriating. I'm not even all that concerned about having it Friday, but it seems new customers and even further in the dark than everybody else with regards to orders.

I'm in the same boat and from what I have been told that is normal for new customers. Ours should be shipped out with the rest of the orders. Hopefully.

Same scenario. Don't care when I get the phone (as long as its not weeks and weeks) I just want to get an ETA.

I second this. It's not having any type of ETA that bothers me about this whole situation.

Yes. Am hoping for some sort of movement today or tomorrow. In the meantime, I feel like I won't get any work done this week. LOL.

I guess updating my 5s to iOS 8 on Wednesday will be a good distraction...

I got different information when I spoke to someone today, so I'm not sure that's 100% accurate

Thank you for the information. I like the response you received much better than the information I received. And that does make sense. I think I will wait until my iPhone is stocked or shipped then give it another try. Thanks again.

I mean the person I spoke to might have been 100% wrong too! But we shall see. I hope she was right

The amount they've ordered wouldn't guarantee how many they'll receive unfortunately, but those details should have been made available to them earlier considering as they should have the inventory by now to begin processing orders and prepping them for shipment so they can get delivered on or around the 19th.
