T-Mobile.com preorder thread

I ordered the iPhone 6+ 64GB Gold from TMO non-Jump.

My order status is the following from TMO's web site:

Order Status: Backordered
Order history: Pending Shipping 09/14/2014 at 08:40:10 AM
Delivery method: UPS Ground

Earlier today it was saying "Delivery method: UPS Ground expected delivery 9/25/14." My CC was charged only $1 yesterday when I placed the order at that time which is PDT. As of this posting no charge on my CC. I don't know what is going on. Thinking of cancelling the order and sticking with Android since Android 5.0 will be out along with the Nexus 6 by the time I get the iPhone 6+ in November.

I have all these except for that overnight shipping! it sucks!! I wasn't even offered that option. The guy who helped me on the 12th at 4:50am was all happy **** to get my order and was like i guarantee you will have it on your doorstep on the 19th but i wouldn't mind gettin it that following week early in the week.

Same thing happened to me with the shipping.

No it is not. It shows him that because he's a new customer. It also shows me that because the order was placed as a new line. Please stop spreading misinformation. He did place his order on Sunday though, so he will receive his phone a bit later.

I like to think that's because we're first in line.

My best estimate is that: if you have a backordered time-stamp, you didn't make it into the first round draft pick. If your status is simply showing Backordered, but it doesn't say "Backordered at...", then you're in the Manziel camp, and will get your phones on time! (I could just be talking cr*p though!)

I think the Backordered status means they simply just don't have it in stock yet (obviously). But a Backordered timestamp means: hold shipment until further notice

This makes sense. I ordered on Fri 12th at 8am, non jump and by phone, and my status has said Pending Shipment 9/12/2014, but expected delivery date never. This sunday I ordered a 2nd phone using Jump and it says backordered with a time stamp of 9/15/2014, but was showing an expected delivery date of 9/15, 9/16, and now blank. If the status say Pending Shipment I assume those will go with the first batch. And the remaining as additional shipments come in. Also its been reported that the initial preorder stock for all iPhone 6 & 6+ were sold in the first 24 hours. That should mean any orders placed through the weekend, during the Jump Priority PR stunt, would be pushed back anyway as more iPhones get delivered to TMO.

This happened to me as well so I went to the store to see if someone couldn't give a straight answer. The reason everyone's est delivery date is because T-Mobile doesn't have any phones yet. They won't get theirs until the 9/19 then they will ship out and T-Mobile only delivers on weekdays not weekends. This is the lamest preorder I have ever experienced and will be taking my business back to at&t at least they are honest about delivery dates

T-Mobile does not choose when UPS or FedEx are able to deliver. I know for a fact that UPS ships on Saturday, a weekend.

I'm in the same boat with the space gray 6+ ordered at 4:51 PDT. A few pages back there was talk that a removed ETA is a good thing. Not sure I feel the same way, but I'm hoping that's true.

T-Mobile does not choose when UPS or FedEx are able to deliver. I know for a fact that UPS ships on Saturday, a weekend.

So they do deliver on Saturday. I chose Saturday delivery, so if the phones are shipped on Friday, then I'd get it on Saturday.
