Horrible Karma

So, my phone (6+, 128, SG) was supposed to be delivered today. I've been obsessively tracking all day. It wasn't here by the time I got home from work. I've been hitting refresh every few minutes.

At 6:40, I hit refresh and saw it had been delivered. I ran down to the lobby of my apartment building to find....nothing.

I check the delivery record from UPS and it says "met customer - a woman." As you can likely guess from the "DCMike" name, I am not a woman.

I called UPS who told me they can do nothing - everything needs to be done through T-Mobile. Called T-Mobile, they have put a trace on the package with UPS and are searching to see if the device has been activated. They tell me they should have information for me after 72 hours.

So frustrating after a over month of waiting. I was so fracking excited. And now I am so freaking angry.

Did you check with any of the lobby staff? Not sure how your apartment works, but at mine the office staff holds packages. Sometimes they forget where they put them which makes me go crazy.

Unfortunately, we don't have a doorman/staff - everything gets left in the lobby. We do have a camera that we can look at online and no UPS driver came into the building 10 minutes before or after the package was supposed to be delivered.

I called UPS back and told them no driver cam into the building and they initially said they would start an investigation, but then they changed back and said they will wait until T-Mobile contacts them.
 
Omg finally. Order Processed: Ready for UPS. 6+ 64gb silver. This is the most bs process I've ever endured. I'm not even excited to get it anymore. I'm just mad. I've been waiting since 9/16. ERT better refund my upgrade
 
I don't think jump would of helped if you were hoping for a faster shipment. You should take it to a Apple Store and have them replace it. Even if you don't have insurance through apple you can still exchange a phone through them when it comes to defects on their end

Thanks for the info. Do you know if it really is OK to have it exchanged at Apple even though I bought it from T-Mobile?

I wonder if T-Mobile can track it via GPS..not sure if "Find My Phone" has to be activated to do that or not. I don't know if this will help or not, but T-Mobile activated my phone via a phone call, and you HAVE to do it from another phone besides the phone your activating. At least if it were activated in your name, nobody else can get service for it...

So what does T-Mobile say about it?

ETA: I forgot, you have to be able to give them the SIM card number off the phone...boo.... :(
 
got tracking after 2 months, ****ing t-mobile is a piece of **** company, i don't even want this ****ing **** phone anymore, everyone is done playing with it

They said they would try and track it by the IMEI number of the mobile phone, which I guess they could do even if someone switched out the SIM cards. They said if they weren't able to find it within 72 hours, they could deactivate it.

Thanks for the sympathy. I just can't believe it got all the way here and just didn't make it the final step.
 
Ordered 6+ 128 GB on 10/18. Status was:

Expected to ship between on or before 12/01/2014

now it is:

Expected to ship between 11/17/2014 and 12/01/2014

It's looking promising.
 
You can go in and have them look at it and if they feel it's a defect then yes they can and will for free :)

I appreciate the info, again:D! You may have just saved me a lot of extra waiting. I will take it in tomorrow. I hear the T-Mobile units at the Apple Store are Unlocked and the ones from T-Mobile aren't so I don't know if that will affect the exchange.
 
So I got the 128gb today , haven't opened the package yet .. However I just got charged for my original order from September for the "Unicorn"
 
There is one t-mobile here in Buffalo, NY that has iphone 6 plus INSTOCK.

i went today with my partner to do a jump upgrade thinking it would be 5-7 days for them to ship it from the warehouse, but we actually walked out with one.

unreal! :eek:
 
i havent gone by the local tmobile store but when i was there a month ago they said they werent going to get 6+ shipments until sometime in November

I can't see how they can have them in store when they can't fulfill preorders. But at least it makes it easier then having to wait a month+

Plus worst case, if they are going to replace it, you won't be waiting for weeks or months but instead days to get the replacement :)

Had a similar thing happen to me.

Ordered a Gold 6 64 GB on 10/23 and was given the standard 6 week date of 12/4.

Just checked and it now says 11/20-12/4.

Sounds like supply may slowly be starting to catch up with demand.

I also found out today that I'm not going to be charged the $498 balance left on an EIP for the iPad Air I bought this past April. The monthly payments never hit my bill, so I called about it a week ago since I just sold it and wanted to pay it off. They got back to me today with the final word and apparently the order had been voided in their system, thus freeing me of any financial responsibility to pay it.

Today was a good day.

I ordered on 10/10. And got charged today. Unicorn. Its too good to be true for me. Is there anyone who ordered around my date?

I ordered on 10/14 6+ 64gb silver but changed my order on 10/29 6+ 128gb gold and was charged the on 10/30 and received on 10/31

I originally ordered the 6+ 64gb Gold on 10/09/2014, saw no movement on my order, decided to cancel on 10/29/2014, reordered a 6+ 128gb Gold phone same day, got the pending charge on 11/03/2014, shipped on 11/04/2014,picked up my phone "will call" at my local UPS on 11/06/2014...
 
I just got my dreams crushed of getting my phones next week.
Order was placed 10/12 and was waiting my turn which would been 11/24. Checked the account last night and was shocked to see new delivery date of 11/10. At 2AM while the wife and I were sleeping Tmobile decided to cancel the order for some reason. We have money in both our accounts for the phones. I'm now waiting for a call back from the Tmobile executive team so they can reopen the orders.:(:(

*Update - They couldn't find a reason as to why it was cancel. They re-entered the CC information and told me my orders will be shipped out on Tuesday. iPhone 6 plus 64GB Gold and iPhone 6 128GB Slate Grey

notification this morning.... Tracking number just shows label created..... Time to head back to the Apple Store and return the white one ;)
