I also had serious issues with the website, and just called 611 and talked to someone. They got all three orders complete (all three lines are upgrading this year), and we finished up around 9:30. All three of my orders (green 15 128, pink 15 128, natural 15 pro 128) are showing 9/22.
Do you think the T-Mobile store could clear the restrictions on my account faster?

I called Tmobile...had eveyrything set to order a 15 Pro to be delivered on teh 22nd...guy asks for my credit card info..and he accidently transfers me. Great. So I talk to the next person, have to start over - and then they tell me the ship date is 9/22 and I won't get it for a few days. ???

If they say ships by 9/22 it's more likely than not arriving on launch day. T-Mobile's systems aren't really designed to handle the kind of pre-order logistics that are necessary for big product launches. So it reports back that information to the techs.

Other aspects of the system know how to get these things out on time.

Mine has said for the last 6 years now ships by launch day and I always have it on launch day. Only issue I have ever had was with the Apple Watch Series 8 last year, it didn't ship til launch day and arrived 5 days later. But with iPhones, I have always gotten on launch day with it saying ships by launch day. You'll start seeing movement by Sunday Night into Monday. Your card will get charged and then shortly after you'll get the tracking information.

Seems that way however I’ve ordered from them at least 4 times before for iPhone launches. Every one of them delivered on launch day.

Have things changed for the worse there?

Not at all. They're literally just reading a screen, so you can't take that into account too much

The screen techs have and its underlying system isn't built to ship a phone earlier than its supposed release date.

But the internal logistical system is. That's why every single method of ordering will tell you "Ships on September 22" but you get the device on the 22nd.

Ah, sorry. So their ordering system that the rep sees, doesn' tsupport a delivery date of the 22nd. But when ordered..it'll actually be delivered on the 22nd ?

Sorry, not sure I ever paid attention to that distinction before on prevoius launch day orders .

I also tried to buy over teh phone and arrange a in-store pickup . What a disaster. They seemingly have no connectivity with the stores...they actually just give you the store phone number...and they won't take an order for pickup, you need to just show up on launch day.

Okay, have to say this. I don't like how T-Mobile does their upgrades. Seriously. Half goes to monthly discounted payments. The other half crediting your bill. I want it to go all to the monthly discounted credits. And it's telling me they need a 399 down payment. Wth. I never needed that with att and I had way more expensive phones. I'm not seeing the advantage with T-Mobile and may switch back. :(

Oh no, just go through the T-Mobile website. It should be a breeze, it atleast has been for me the last few years.
I woke up an hour late (lol) but I was able to get a 9/22 delivery date! The Apple website never worked for me but I was able to order via T-Mobile w/ no issues.

Went for the 512GB iPhone 15 Pro Max in Natural Titanium

$399 downpayment? For what phone and configuration?

I had to put down $199 for the 15 pro max 512gb. The rep was kinda surprised since I've had my tmobile account for 10 years, never missed a payment, don't have any other financed phones and have good credit (750+). Guessing someone in Tmobile finance madea decision that all 15 require a downpayment of X% .

Are you on installment or JOD?

I know JOD requires a down payment to bring the total lease to $750

15 pro max 1tb. And my credit is 825. 6 lines. 4 phones, one home internet and one tablet line. 2 of those are iPhone 14 and 14 plus on payment plan but had trade in so they are almost free.

Yeah I had to do the same.

Then it’s taking it off the eip but the plan is $30 more so It really means nothing lol.

Well atleast 1 month of my phone bill will be paid with a credit. It’ll be a win down the line.

It would be because it’s the 1tb model. As you go up in size (and cost) they add deposit to keep the payments to $50 pm for 24 months I believe.

Ah, that makes sense.

Why does TMobile need to keep the payment to $50/month? Is that a magical number or something..?

Here is what mine says. Not sure what "running" means
