Got my lease agreement update with my imei number and was able to find my serial number. It looks like my gold 6s plus was made week 38 (sep 14-20) so it's literally right from the factory! Considering I ordered on the 12th it's like a bto phone!

Got an "it shipped" email from Tmo with a tracking number. The tracking number doesn't work yet, I imagine the UPS site just isn't updated with the "shipping label printed" status.
No amended EIP/JOD agreement yet.
My-Tmo does acknowledge a status change to "shipped".

anyone else switching from AT&T lose service on their existing phone today?

Yes, T-mobile reached out and grabbed my number when my card was charged thus my ATT was immediately cancelled. I called T-mobile, they apologized, sent me to a store for a free sim to convert my existing iPhone 6 to a T-mobile phone. Luckily it was unlocked. The iPhone 6 does not have band 12 support so indoors it's not as good but otherwise it's working OK. I did need to jump through setup hoops on my Mac's and iPad to get iMessage & FaceTime in sync again.

I did it. I made the decision this past Monday in the matter of 10 minutes lol. I walked into a store, told the woman I wanted to switch to you guys and she ported the number over and everything. She was being a little too casual with me and she told me she placed my preorder, after us speaking about it at least a couple of times. I called a couple of hours later because I didn't receive the EIP email yet and lo and behold, she really didn't place the order (dummy). Anyway, she had no problem porting my number over. AND the unlock request was accepted in about one minute (seriously). Very easy transition.

I spoke to AT&T about cancelling service and they said it was already canceled when T-Mobile ported my number over. I was like okay, cool, no more work for me haha.

Right, I'm not arguing that the process isn't easy. However, you shouldn't port the number until you have something [working] to port to. I brought over my working Verizon iPhone 6 to use until the new phone arrives. Same port experience though. It took seconds for the port to become effective.

How do you do that again?

They can't be shipping all from China right?
Postage would be 5x more expensive...
Yes, this is routine for these launches. The factory is producing as long as possible to make sure as many people get the phones as can be accommodated. I've seen firsthand the vitriol on here from people about their alleged entitlement to a phone on launch day. T-Mobile and Apple can't guarantee you anything because your phone literally may not have been made yet.

When I log into my T-Mobile account and click on my order, it simply says "Shipped". But on the order tracking portion of the website it says my order information may not be available until 24-72 hours after it's been placed (but it was placed on 9/13). Yesterday I was told it's on backorder. I'm so confused...

Ordered the 19th. Gold 64 GB 6s. Charged yesterday. T-Mobile account page now shows 'Shipped'. The special order page still doesn't have a working status for my order. UPS tracking is available when I search my phone # as the reference. Says delivery tomorrow (which will never happen) by Next Day Air Saver.

Woohoo! 48 hours from order to shipment! Hopefully that means everyone [who didn't order rose gold] who ordered in the presale window will get their phone at launch.

Go to UPS.com and track by reference using your 10 digit phone number as the reference #. Or, if you have UPS My Choice it should show up in your dashboard.

no further movement since 'expected to ship 9/24' on Saturday. 64gbRG+. Hope to see some change today! Take my money tmo.

From backreading, looks like one rose gold plus has been charged, a 16gb.

Like everyone else I got my tracking number but I had to call T-Mobile to get it (after receiving updated EIP).

I got next day air saver but it hasn't reached a shipping facility. So I'm waiting on that

Iphone 6s+ 64 gb Gold

I'll be checking it throughout the day since the label was just created today apparently. Hopefully I'll get it before the 25th (if only)!

Went and checked my choice and we got two tracking numbers here now ... Well that's good.

Will have to get that setup to hold at the distro office down the road and grab it Friday before work .

How do you figure if they are originating in China to begin with? It's more economical to pack up everything in China, take care of labeling, package inserts, SIM preinstall, etc at the factory and ship directly to US to various distribution hubs here than to have all that secondary work done here. The less handling of a package, the more economical.

Apple does some crazy freaky stuff with logistics, making them one of the best in the business.

You are absolutely correct in the fact that I have a delivery scheduled for tomorrow, but I do not see that it has actually checked into a location yet. But that is ok, that is not the point of my last post. My point was that I'm stoked because I have that iPhone scheduled for delivery (whether it's tomorrow or Friday)....AND my 6s Plus was just now charged to my credit card....so now I know that both of my iPhones are being delivered on Friday. Truth be told, I was worried that my 6s Plus was going to be back ordered for a few weeks or a month. But its not. They are both on the way. And life is good.

Totally understand. Didn't mean to sound flippant if my previous response came across that way, so I apologize if it did. At this point, I agree with you. I'm hopeful we get them as expected, but until I see an origin scan with my tracking number, it could just be T-Mobile getting ready. I know they aren't supposed to charge you until it's actually in their possession, but then again, they haven't been the epitome of smooth operations up to this point. I wouldn't be shocked if we didn't get emails at some point telling us "Oops. Things are taking a little longer than expected. But rest assured it'll be sent sometime soon." Hoping that's not the case though.
