I'm interested in knowing how Tmobile works in San Antonio, both inside and outside the city (band 12 or not). I'm in Cali but my father lives there and I am thinking of getting a phone for him on my tmo account. He's getting old and I worry about him running around without a cell phone. I'm just not sure what t-mobile's service is like in San Antonio. Would you mind posting a follow up on this thread (or PM me) once you've tested it out there? I'd greatly appreciate it! :D
I will follow up with you once I get the phone, I will PM you with my findings and some speed test from all over the city..

I ordered
Am I the only who ordered at midnight on the 12th and still haven't received a charge or a tracking number :(
iPhone 6S Plus 64GB Silver Jump!

Already chatted with T-Mobile, they said everything is fine, I am still in the queue (processing).
the same phone on a regular upgrade and it's already moving

It doesn't make any sense to me why I have to wait so long and I ordered on the 12th. Makes me not want tmobile anymore at all.

I hope that in the end I'll say that all is well that ends well. Credit card got charged yesterday afternoon, but I still haven't seen a tracking number (this is for a 128GB 6S Gold I ordered on Sunday the 14th after repeated calls to fix a mistake in the order). I have a feeling I might get it soon after posting this ;) All in all, I think I could still get the phone on launch day. Let's see.

It would appear that T-Mobile is doing a lot of shipping prep before the phones are moved on the 24th. Many things can be a factor as to why you're not getting a tracking number yet, such as your location or phone model. It's possible that you might not get a tracking number until Thursday.
Thanks for the info! Hopefully everything works out.

So sorry you'r not getting your tracking number first. Come on now. This doesn't even have anything to do with T-Mobile.

Actually just talk to t-mobile and they said. On the 12th they had a few problems with the orders. So it does have everything to do with them. I have to wait longer now cause they made a mistake.

Anyone here from Texas and waiting on a phone if so what size, color and gb did you opt for and when did you place your order?! I'm experiencing mixed emotions right now

Can someone explain the serial/imei look up? The number given to me on my updated lease/contract that says 'IMEI' doesn't add to any apple support page and says like:

Production week : -29- (July)
Production year : -2003-
Production number: 2319 (within this week)

When I looked it up on that other site. 2003 can't be right lol. What am I missing here

PS tmo emailed me my tracking officially and the updated contract. I also got 2 texts with the tracking. All stuck at label still. :)
It's a bit complicated. Take the IMEI and put it into the site http://iphoneimei.info/. That will give you a serial number. The serial is what you can add to your Apple support profile. Honestly, it doesn't do much for you and I think it will get added automatically once you activate the phone anyway.

It was technically called Tmobile "JUMP!" "Jump on Demand" started after the iPhone 6s came out.

No, JUMP and JOD are two entirely different things. JUMP is where you're allowed to jump or trade in if at least half of your phone is paid off. JOD is where you can jump up to 3x per year without paying anything off, you just lose the old payment and take on the new one. JOD was before 6s came out because I had JUMP on my Note 4 and switched to JOD on my iPhone 6 end of June because I knew 6s and Note 5 would be coming out a few months later. Both options are still available.

NVM I just saw the post where you figured it out!

JUMP v1 = Financing for 24 months, tax deposit, upgrade every six months.
JUMP v2 = Financing for 24 months, tax deposit, upgrade after 50% of device paid off.
JOD = Leasing for 18 months, payoff due at end, no deposit, upgrade three times a year.

JUMP! stands for Just Upgrade My Phone!

Only for leasing though... if you buy outright I think it's the same because the pay off is higher at the end after 18 months on AMPED. I'm not positive though if the AMPED leasers get the $7 credit + lower monthly or just a discounted rate with a higher payoff...

Financing and leasing on T-Mobile comes out to the same price. It is not like a car where leasing ends up being an inflated price of the product. Both methods are also interest-free as a courtesy of having wireless service with T-Mobile.

Why? They're all shipping overnight...and they're not supposed to arrive until friday...so why wouldnt they most likely all be shipped on thursday?

T-Mobile is not doing "overnight shipping," but "expedited shipping." Know this, just so you can set proper expectations for yourself and not get pissed if you see it ship on Thursday and you happen to get it on Monday or something.

From the reddit post:
All pre-orders no matter if they’re regular upgrades or JUMP! get free expedited shipping. It’s not free overnight, it’s free expedited shipping. Expedited shipping (express) is up to three business days via UPS.

You can but it has different bands so high speed wont be the same

If you compare the two sets of iPhone 6s/6s Plus, the only different band between the two are 30 (2300 MHz).

My UPS tracking says "Next Day Air Saver" as does most others that have weighed in here.

That site isn't giving me my serial number. Just my IMEI (which I already put in), and three green links. no serial.

Will it be better to have UPS deliver the phone or pick it up at local UPS store? Will the UPS store have it when the store opens on friday?
I got the overnight shipping

New-ish to t-mobile. Ordered two new phones and lines mostly through on-line chat from an airplane using wifi. At the end they called me via VoIP to verify payment information. I did try to order via the website, but it wouldn't let me add the plan I wanted as a new customer with two new lines.

Ordered: 9/15
Ship confirmation: 9/22 (I've got the UPS 1D tracking #, but it's not in UPS system yet.)

The experience could have been better; ideally I would have been able to order everything online. But the online support via chat rep I had was fantastic, very patient (lots of latency from 35k ft), and even waited while I put up a VPN to bypass the firewall so that I could VoIP from the plane and confirm the order. I had previously tried tmobile but canceled over coverage. I'm hopeful that the 700mHz LTE band 12 deployment will solve that problem. My primary carrier is still verizon, but I'm jealous of TM's wi-fi calling and international no roaming fees.
