Got the T-Mobile 6s from Apple Store, received the a1688.

Received it, popped my international carrier SIM and was automatically unlocked.

Oh yes, I forgot about the model number question. Mine is model A1688 - purchased from t-mobile.

So I am at the end of my estimated delivery window. I have seen a UPS truck drive around my neighborhood a few times, but no phone yet :(

Why do you always include long lengthy stories that are not even relevant to the topic you're discussing? What on earth do your past problems with the US Postal Service have to do with the shipment/delivery with UPS?

Don't get me wrong, I understand not wanting to get an iPhone box that is really beat up...I really do. But the long off-subject diatribes don't make any sense.

Perhaps because all the carriers no longer give a damn about how they treat their packages. FedEx used to be the best, but now they all suck, except DHL surprisingly.

I suggest you read my first post on my experience with T-Mobile last year charging me 4 times and reversing the charges 3 times, and sending me a phone with a hacked SIM that dialed an out of country number no matter what number I tried to dial, and when I called them to discuss the issues I spent 12 hours on the phone with them because I got disconnected 39 times. And I was given a credit for the inconvenience. I have no plan on calling them today to complain about the condition it was mailed and received in and that even the plastic phone tray inside was dented very close to the phone, but I damn well will call them when I have time and am not so busy, but right now I need sleep because I often work 18-19 hours a day from home.

Someone commented on the 3D Touch. Yeah, it's weird. I haven't even seen or know if what I'm doing is a pop or press. I know just touching it wiggles the apps, and then pushing a little more pulls up the menu, but I don't see a layer beyond that. I guess it's something we will have to play with and get used to. Some of the reviewers said they loved it, some said it was terribly clumsy. I'm sure we will develop our own opinions once we spend time with it.

Anyone else try to unlock their 6s from Tmobile? I made the request and they're telling me it's going to take 3-5 days before it shows up in their system and is available for unlocking.

I just want it to get here so I don't crack my 6 Plus before trade in. I have a 4 year streak of no cracked phones. Probably just jinxed myself

Who all still haven't received any correspondence from T-Mobile as to when their device will be in stock and or shipped?! I got an update alright waiting for more inventory estimated to arrive early November

I haven't got anything yet. I asked here how long have anyone waited before but no1 answered me. I'm the most impatient person in the world and if I knew this before I would have just gone to the store today and tried my luck.

So with my new 4 phones. What's the best way to port my lines from ATT. Tmobile gave me new SIM cards with temp numbers. Should I put those in the phones or use the one that came with the phones.

Also if I want tmobile to pay off the balance that's due on the ATT next for 2 out of the 4 phones what do I need to do. Should I just walk into the tmobile store and have them do everything?

Don't give me that nonsense. First of all, I always sell my phones in perfect shape with perfect boxes. My 6+ box was fine, as was my 5S, 5, and 4S.

Secondly, I know this wasn't delivered by USPS, but we have the worst post office here and anything shipped via USPS in a bubble mailer either comes destroyed or stolen and I've had THOUSANDS of dollars of merchandise stolen from either the local post office or the main incoming one in Santa Clarita. I've written twice to the US Postmaster General and nothing has been done. To make matters worse, we don't have one regular driver. We have a different driver every day!

And as far as a box being just a box, I don't have your mentality because I work in a industry where we design and make very complex and gorgeous boxes and packaging designs. And that doesn't give UPS a license to toss my $1035 phone around like a brick! And T-Mobile shouldn't be so stupid as to put an IPHONE in a bubble mailer!!! Because even the plastic tray inside your "just a box" was dented, too! Fortunately, it BARELY missed the phone though I haven't examined the phone yet really. I have no inclination to do a full new installation and retype everything so I'm just re-installing public beta 9.1 version 2 so I can restore. As it is, I still have to move the 90GB or so to a new iTunes library from my phone and transfer it back to the new one, which I'm not looking forward to but knew it would have to be done. Just not today....

Now time for some sleep.
Don't give you that nonsense? already did.

congrats to you for working in a industry that designs and make very complex and gorgeous box.

btw it seems like just you that has a HUGE problem with it.

I was excited to receive my iPhone 6S today until I tried to complete setup. I have the dreaded "Slide to Upgrade" issue. I tried to Update and Restore via iTunes, but the upgrade server is not available.

I'm stuck with a $750 brick. Well played, Apple/Tmo...well played.

Uh - sorry to hear that! My 6s is still sitting in its box right now. Still working so I haven't done anything with it yet.

Did 'slide to upgrade' come up as soon as you turned it on and went through the setup steps? Or did it happen after connecting to iTunes?

U guys lucky I always have to wait til late in the day to get my phone once he arrives today I'm gone find out his route lol

It happened after connecting to iTunes. I had the option of restoring from iCloud or iTunes. iTunes should have been better since I'm not on home wifi. And, I just synced all photos/videos from 6 to iTunes.

Totally unacceptable!! I'd like to punch the T-Mobile and UPS people responsible for this damage to my phone box in the throat. And the letter says to get a credit with Jump trade in you must used the enclosed bag, which wasn't enclosed, only a sticker label. And the bag is wretched and I'll show you the bottom half, not the top because it has personal info, but that half was twice as bad. Such a disgrace. Sprint and Apple ALWAYS put them in boxes, and I even asked the rep this time about that and he assured me it will be double boxed. Yeah, blow it out your a**! Wait until I get ahold of T-mobile. Guarantee you I'll get at least a $50 credit for this.

Soooo... The box did its job and protected your phone it sounds like. So there's that.

I see. I plan to restore from iTunes too. Is it the 9.0.1 upgrade it's trying to do then?

Sorry... I just haven't done all this yet. Looking for a way to avoid the same problem when I set up my phone later today. I wonder if it would work to go through the setup screens, activate the new SIM on t-mo's web site, do the 9.0.1 upgrade, and then as the very last thing, restore my data from iTunes backup?

It has been a long day for me lol. I live in NYC and UPS usually doesn't come to my neighborhood until after 5pm. With the Pope in town, I fear it may be even later today.

*still waiting*

Got my 6S Plus 128GB Gold and Space Grey Apple Watch :D

School buses = tease

Absolutely! I can't see the front of my house except for one small window. I have that window open so I can hear when a larger vehicle comes up the street. Then I jump up and see what it is that's pulling up or driving by. So far, I've been fooled by 4 school buses and one Fed Ex truck!
