Oh crazy
if you buy it directly from apple unlocked you don't have to worry about it.
I doubt you'll get other phone today; it's More likely that it'll be Monday. I've had that happen to me before with ups It was two packages linked together as a part 1 part 2 type of package and only part 2 showed up. The driver said that their must have been a mistake at the hub and it either ended up in the wrong truck or it's still in the belt system since he spent 10mins searching his truck for it before walking up to my door. So then o decided to call in see I could pick it up and they couldn't locate it so I was stuck waiting for it to run through the system again and a recovered it on Monday.
Hopefully that doesn't happened to you, but I've never had ups deliver from two different trucks unless one is ground and one is express. If I as you I'd call in asap to see if they can locate the your package.
Honestly don't know why I came in here. Just to complain I guess. I just hate when I do the right thing and keep on top of everything like crazy it still falls through. I don't imagine the chef from Seinfeld saying "No iPhone for you!" LOL. Maybe if not this Friday, possibly Monday. Wishful thinking.
One thing I have definitely noticed is Touch ID is soooo much faster. I barely put my thumb down and my phone is unlocked
Anyone else think the speakers on the new phones sound better? Could just be my imagination but seems crisper...
So my new phone is just about all set up now. What I did:
Two bars of LTE from my desk when previously I had zero. Anxious to try this out in some other known deadspots in my neighborhood.
- Unpaired Apple Watch to create backup from old phone (6 plus)
- Backed up manually to iTunes, encrypted (important)
- Activated new sim card online before even opening the box (the ICCID number is on the side of the box)
- Turned on new phone, went through set up steps for Wifi, skipped everything else for now.
- Got to screen to restore, connected to iTunes and restored from the backup I made.
- Got prompted to enter AppleID password and Google passwords a few times as various setups were taking place.
- My familiar home screen came up, all my apps started to download (very fast).
- While that was going on, I went ahead and paired my Apple Watch to the new phone. Took about 10 minutes to sync all the settings and apps to the watch (had to re setup my Apple Pay credit cards though, those didn't save in the backup).
- Set up my Touch ID (again, very fast).
- Once all apps had loaded, I had the update to 9.0.1 waiting on me so I installed that.
- Boom, all done and very painless!
Loving this so far!!!
Got my phone, however how do I return my old one.... I only got the phone in the package
