T-Mobile: iPhone 6S/6S Plus Pre-Order Thread:

Been enjoying my six plus in rose gol...uh, MANLY SALMON...for the day.

Sweet Jesus this thing is FAST! After doing a restore my my gold plus, there was eighteen app updates, and this thing just blazed through them on wifi. Finger recognition is near instantaneous, and safari pages and apps just pop! Speed increase alone was worth the upgrade.

Also managed to sell my 64 Gold 6+ to a local reseller for $550. Not too shabby.

Oh, and went to the mall to get a glass screen protector for the MS plus, which is right across from the Apple store. Took a call from a friend asking about the new phone and was telling him all the features before I looked up and saw all the people standing in line looking like someone waved a steak in front of a pen full of dobermans. Heh-heh.

Honestly don't know why I came in here. Just to complain I guess. I just hate when I do the right thing and keep on top of everything like crazy it still falls through. I don't imagine the chef from Seinfeld saying "No iPhone for you!" LOL. Maybe if not this Friday, possibly Monday. Wishful thinking.

Received my 6s. Does it matter if I take sim card out my old 6, or should I use the sim card that came with the 6s?
 
Got my phone, however how do I return my old one.... I only got the phone in the package

The driver said that their must have been a mistake at the hub and it either ended up in the wrong truck or it's still in the belt system since he spent 10mins searching his truck for it before walking up to my door. So then o decided to call in see I could pick it up and they couldn't locate it so I was stuck waiting for it to run through the system again and a recovered it on Monday.

Hopefully that doesn't happened to you, but I've never had ups deliver from two different trucks unless one is ground and one is express. If I as you I'd call in asap to see if they can locate the your package.

I did get both! 6S RG 64 GB showed up about an hour after the first one! I am in SF - there are tons of UPS trucks around!
 
So my new phone is just about all set up now. What I did:
  1. Unpaired Apple Watch to create backup from old phone (6 plus)
  2. Backed up manually to iTunes, encrypted (important)
  3. Activated new sim card online before even opening the box (the ICCID number is on the side of the box)
  4. Turned on new phone, went through set up steps for Wifi, skipped everything else for now.
  5. Got to screen to restore, connected to iTunes and restored from the backup I made.
  6. Got prompted to enter AppleID password and Google passwords a few times as various setups were taking place.
  7. My familiar home screen came up, all my apps started to download (very fast).
  8. While that was going on, I went ahead and paired my Apple Watch to the new phone. Took about 10 minutes to sync all the settings and apps to the watch (had to re setup my Apple Pay credit cards though, those didn't save in the backup).
  9. Set up my Touch ID (again, very fast).
  10. Once all apps had loaded, I had the update to 9.0.1 waiting on me so I installed that.
  11. Boom, all done and very painless!
Two bars of LTE from my desk when previously I had zero. Anxious to try this out in some other known deadspots in my neighborhood.

Loving this so far!!!

No worries we have all had to complain to T-Mobile about issues
 
One thing I have definitely noticed is Touch ID is soooo much faster. I barely put my thumb down and my phone is unlocked

Still no moment on my package, order status still says "Orders are not visible in this tool until 24 – 72 hours after they are placed. Please check back tomorrow to view your order status."

So glad it went smoothly and you are loving your new phone! Oh, and I love that you went from zero LTE bars to 2. Awesome!!! :D

My phone came about a hour ago iPhone 6s th I'm so excited currently restoring it from my latest back up on my iPhone 6

Ok so I noticed that my phone is getting extremely hot while restoring content from my other phone has this happened with anyone else iPhone 6s 16gb rose gold

I took mine to a t mobile store and they couldn't figure out how to process the JOD return. They didn't have the right button to process it in the system. After 90 minutes I gave up.
 
I'm super stoked! They're here! My UPS driver said it's been a long day and he would be delivering iPhones right up until 9 pm. I made him smile when I handed him an ice cold Red Bull and an ice cold water! :)
