Sorry to hijack, I am thinking of switching to T-mobile, if I get on the Jump program does t-mobile force me to get any additional insurance?

Further, if I upgrade now and get the new phone and want to upgrade to the iphone 7 whenever it comes out next year, what's the procedure? Will I continue to just pay $15 or whatever or will the price go up or is more dependent whatever promotion they are running at that time?

Original JUMP includes it, JUMP on Demand does not. It will cost $8, as opposed to being built into the $10 charge on original JUMP.

This is a PDF giving information on JoD.

First line of fine print confirms it's an additional $8 but does not indicate it's required like original JUMP.

I ordered my phone yesterday at the store-6splus silver 16gb and they processed the order without asking for any info, like address or email so I'm like don't you need that info? The rep in store says it's already in here, they had an old address that luckily turned out to be my parents in another town. They refused to change it so now I have to drive out of town an hour to go pick up my phone when it arrives, probably after a long day at work. Does anyone know how I might fix the address?

You'll have to wait until you get a shipping label, once you do, call UPS. T-Mobile cannot do anything once the order is placed to UPS.

I believe UPS has a way to do address forwarding. Just keep in mind, if it's a distance, you may have to wait another day to get the device. =(

I recommend also calling T-Mobile customer service to update your address. Unless they let you do it online? I'm not sure, I haven't had to change addresses.. Yet.

See they told me I have to send mine back. With the usps label. Store told me to mail it back and tforce did the same as well. Store told me that there is no way he could give me s receipt of the jod lease return. Now, I only had that for like 2 plus weeks and it never showed on a bill yet. I wonder if they effected it.

I walked right into the store, gave them my old leased pone, got the receipt and walked out. Simple easy took 10 minutes

So, I guess it depends on your situation.

To pre-order my 6s, I went into the store, was not on JOD, but had 11 months paid on 24 month plan, I pre-ordered a 6s on the JOD promo. (on the 16th), they told me to send my old phone back. I did not get a text saying to go into the store with the old phone.

I got a Merchandise Return Label in my package, no postage necessary, just put the old phone in the bag (I put it in my old iPhone 6 box), write "from" address, put return label over UPS shipping label, remove or black out the smaller UPS lable, tape it shut (w/packing tape), and either put in mailbox or drop at Post Office. The return is USPS, not UPS.

If you are a regular jump customer and not a JOD then you would return it by mail. If you are a JOD customer you have tot make it into the store because the sales associate has to verify the phone is in working condition with no damage.

I've been told by online reps, T-Mobile twitter reps, and executive response that if you used the return label to send your JoD phone back you will be "absolutely fine"

T-Mobile charged my friend 600+ dollars. for his phone not being returned and he returned to with the postage USPS label. He is still fighting it. T-Mobile over the phone has no access to your JOD Lease because they cannot physically inspect the phone to close out the lease.

So unless T-Mobile wants to take someones damaged phone "which T-Mobile cannot prove you did or didn't send in damaged" you will be stuck with the cost of the damage phone. So by all means; Send it in the mail. But get ready for a bunch of BS.

Did anyone get a bill for their 1st month on JoD with iP6s+ and iP6s yet? I just received the bill today and it doesn't have the $7 credit that Tmobile is suppose to give us... More phone call with reps tomr....

Edit: On closer look... the paper bill/pdf bill doesn't reflect the $7 credit but the online system does... awesome!
yes. The 7 dollars is the credit back to you for ordering an iPhone part of the promotion. it won't reflect the credit till your next bill cycle.

I got my 6s+ on Friday, LOVE it! very frickin fast! I got my first bill and there is NO bill credits for the line. Should be $19/month from supervisor hooking me up since the pre-order debacle. It shows my 6+ as 19/month with the bill credits....So, the stores are telling me to mail it back in, customer care says NO take it to the stores to return the 6+ that I used JOD for. so....They said that it may take 2 billing cycles to get the proper credits for the new phone. UGH! and I just took advantage of the new $5 and $10 JOD promo with the trade ins for my wife and daughter's lines. So, long story short.....it may take 2 billing cycles for all the credits to show up right, BUT....customer care did say they will back date the promo's so you may have higher bills the next 2 months, but the credits will all get backdated so when they do get it squared away, you will have a really small bill (potentially) from all the back dated credits...if that makes sense...

problem is what are you going to do? The stores saying they CANT take them.....since we pre-ordered they were not able to see whats up with the current/old phone for the trade in...blah blah....this is all a fn'g mess.

I mean the in store reps who told me to ship it using the label noted my account saying to phone was fine.

I just got a hold of a store rep at one of the stores about 30 mins away from me saying to bring in the device and he will close out the old lease and give me a receipt for it.

I already changed my address when I was still at the Tmo store, so I'll get an email with a shipping label when it's ready to ship? I'll try to change the address or just go pick it up. Thanks for your help!

Why does T-Mobile package the iPhone so badly! I received mine in the iPhone's own box in a bubble envelope! Apple mails iPhones in a custom sized box.

My box was all damaged and sh*t. I was angry.

My iPhones box wasn't wrapped in plastic or anything. Just in the shipping bag. box was damaged and all

I had 2 128gb rose gold's that I had pre-ordered on the first Saturday when pre-ordering opened. I didn't realize until after it shipped that it was shipping ground. After several complaints to T-Mobile, I received a message on my voice mail that they will credit my account for $100, which I will see in the next 1 or 2 statement periods.

Meanwhile, my 128gb rose gold 6+'s will be here on Wednesday. This is the first Jump I've done on a newly release phone. I'm not sure if I'll do it again.
Same thing happened to me and Some other customers. They messed up on shipping method. Instead of giving everyone free one day air shipping they gave some people ground and didn't change it. so now They are giving credit which is kind of nice!

Im upset over the box because that shows that the damage could have caused your phone to fail because of unseen damage.
If your shipping method was one day air and you received your box like that. I wonder what will my box look like. i have ground shipping and i am getting it on 29th. It wil be all messed up :((
