Since TMO is a no contract service, couldn't you sign up for the $10/month plan to get the iPad with their deal, then simply cancel the SERVICE contract after 1 month and just continue to get the free 200mb offer? Since they offer the free data for the life of the tablet (in their words)
Continuing you PAYMENT plan obviously.
Then you could get the iPad for $0/99/199, pay the small monthly amount, pay the $10-15 first month, then after that have only your small monthly payment for the device itself.
This confirms what I'd imagined; there is little chance t-mobile is going to have the iPad Air on launch day.

How does this page (or any T-Mobile info) confirm no iPads on launch day
While this may be true and I even tend to doubt they will be I don't see what you are reading. Please point to this confirmation you see.
Why would you need to "Sign up now and we'll send you an email as soon as iPad Air is available." if they're getting it on the day we all know it releases? That makes no sense.

Assuming tethering is included in your AT&T plan, yes you can. For me, getting cellular access directly on the iPad is a matter of convenience.Could I simply just get the ipad from TMO, then when I run out of the free data just use my iphone on ATT as a mobile hot spot to connect the TMO ipad to wifi? Not really feeling the additional $10 per month with ATT...
sheesh, you are wrong, there is no $130 interest, that is the price for the iPad Air w/ cellular data capabilities! No wonder you think you are being conned everyday, go back to elementary school![]()

The OP did not clarify that this was for the cellular model but this was discussed earlier in the thread.
Yes, the T-Mobile iPad from the Apple Stores already comes with a T-Mobile SIM. You likely just need to go to Settings > Cellular Data to create an account and sign up for the free 200 MB data.can i purchase the tmobile ipad air from the apple store for $630 instead of paying monthly payments? how exactly would this work? will the ipad automatically come with the tmobile SIM card? do i have to sign up separately somewhere on the tmobile site for the 200mb data plan? i am currently an ATT customer.

Is TMO offering a 14-day return policy? Just in case I want to return the Air and wait for the mini.

Ok, just read this article, it's from the WSJ
"In order to qualify for the financing plans, customers need to have a paying relationship with T-Mobile. That means they cant just finance the tablet and only use the free 200 megabytes of data."
http://blogs.wsj.com/digits/2013/10/23/t-mobile-offers-free-data-to-hook-ipad-users/
Is there anyone on here that works for TMO that can confirm whether or not you need to pay more than just the cost of the EIP to qualify for the financing? I know their website says other things, but this is the second article that has said, basically, you can't just walk into TMO get an ipad Air and only pay the $26 per month.
Except T-Mobile's official website appears to contradict what they're saying. Oh well, we'll likely know come Friday from folks ordering the iPad Air on T-Mo's website. And this is the WSJ saying it, not some wordpress website like the last article.
If you don't want to wait for delivery, just try ordering online Friday night to see if they'll allow EIP with the 200MB plan but don't finalize the purchase.I am really enticed by this T-Mo offer but am weary to put my trust here where there is a lot of uncertainty.
