Unlimited LTE, Unlimited Talk, and Text (including texting and calling, pretty much, all over the world) 7 GB monthly Tethering included, WiFi Calling... Traded in my Note 4, so my iPhone 6S+ 128GB device will be about $13 a month, with $0 down.

You might want to check that again. The 64GB and 128GB require an up front payment of $99 and $199, respectively.

Because the promo credits are not in your EIP, you see the buyout before credits when signing. I don't suspect the buyout will change at all, unless they do EIP differently with this plan. None of my EIP reflect any credits that I've been given. The credits just show up monthly on the account. It's a bit unorthodox since you're effectively signing off one thing and expecting TMO to, in good faith, keep it rolling with the credits.

"And, if you want to hang on to your iPhone after your 18 month JUMP! On Demand agreement is up, you can at T-Mobile for $125 LESS than the full retail price. That’s just $524 for a new iPhone 6s 16GB. In fact, T-Mobile is the only provider offering iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus at a discounted price."

The quote above pretty much states that your Buyout will be the remaining balance minus $125.

Your end payment won't be the same as the regular JOD. It will be higher. Like I said... this promotion is a better deal for people who just keep jumping when their 18 months are up. Buyout isn't worth the trade in deal, unless you're like me and trading in a worthless junker...

I just called by the way and they are willing to let me trade in my HTC Touch Diamond from Sprint I've been sitting on for 6 years! :D

Essentially you could just as easily buy a $20 Pay as you go phone and trade it in for the $12 off deal.

What I am saying is there is an end payment already printed on your EIP. If you stick with that for the full 18 months and then do the buyout that is all you are ever going to be responsible for; bill credits are bill credits and are notnwhagbeffects your buyout. It's not going to jump up from that. If you want to pay it off early, it will, because that end payment is only applicable to those who have fulfilled their 18 months.

Sweet deal on the trade by the way.

For a while they were waiving the down payments. In my case they billed me and immediately credited my bill; in still waiting for one ofnthenwierded charges that they couldn't figure out that they promised to crediting October 7th. They didn't want to cancel the order and have me "lose my spot"

but not anymore i assume?

For those thinking about combining this with the ETF/EIP payoff promotion, looks like that is a no go.

From the fine print in the T-Mobile press release from today...

"Not available with Carrier Freedom (device pay-off) or other trade-in offers."

So that makes the math that much harder for me... I have one line that I would want to bring over that requires EIP payoff from AT&T... the other three lines are all free and clear.

If only I knew how good the Band 12 coverage really is in the Philadelphia/Chester County PA area at this point...

I just set up an appointment for Friday 8am to switch from Sprint to T-Mobile, they're covering all fees and putting me on this jump on demand program, somehow I am going to be saving a boatload of money.

edit: I'm paying Sprint almost $300 per month for my 5 lines, I'm still amazed they weren't willing to budge at all to keep me around, I never cause any trouble and I throw money at them every month.

So here's the deal. I was told this was going on until December by the last rep I talked to (being that they did over the phone orders I had a lot of messed up orders and talked to a lot of reps lol). Reading in another forum people are saying they weren't supposed to do this deal and that the difference will show up on your EIP. For some people that difference did show up, however they were told they would get bill credits for that as well.

What I have gleaned is that bill credits are, or can be, a very confusing thing with tmobile lol. You can try your luck with getting that deal. I know plenty succeeded, including myself, some didn't, mileage may vary. The official print (that I read) was basically a single sentence about pre order weekend, which says nothing about December. It's possible internally it was lengthened due to everything being on back order at this point. I can't really comment on that.

I asked the same question, their T-Mo twitter support people confirmed that you can still get the ETF or device payoff when adding a new line from another carrier.

I'm paying $110 a month for 2.5gb each on a family plan of 5 phones. Tmobile is pretty generous.

The caps are only for LTE data. 2g data is unlimited after you hit your cap.

You can get Unlimited LTE for $30 each on top of your bill. Still reasonable.

Oh man you need to call them, I was on that plan and recently they had an offer, 4 lines minimum each with 10GB for $30 per line. So if LTE data is what you use often it might be worth upgrading even though you would be paying slightly more. I just called and got swapped to the updated program this month!! I'm not sure if the offer is still available but you should check it out. And make sure to tell them to sign you up for the Mexico-USA-Canada program. It's wonderful, full LTE service in those markets for free.

Have you tried your spam folder? I got my EIP within 20 minutes of completing my phone order on 9/12.

Yes, I have been checking my Spam folder on my computer, refreshing every time I check, and I have been checking the Trash to make sure it wasn't directed there mistakenly by the yahoos that have trouble following my filters.

The confirmation TEXT and email came shortly after I finished my conversation with the sales woman.

However, I did receive a text that said I am signed up for Jump! - at an additional $10 per month, although I was not offered Jump! and I did not ask for it. I simply wanted to pay in full.

Still waiting - 5 hours.

For a $30 a month savings, I think I could live with that, it not like I'm going to stream Netflix over cellular.

While Simply Prepaid accounts are limited to 8 mbps, the $30 UL Data & Int Text (5GB at 4G) plan available at Walmart and online is not. I routinely get 30 mbps download with this plan on LTE.

Music streaming (Spotify and Apple Music) does not count against the data limits either.

So let's say I get on this JUMP ON Demand thing...which voice plan do I need to pair it with? Can I pair with a prepaid plan? Or rather, can I just do JUMP ON DEMAND but still pay cell service at another carrier (cricket wireless)?

Unsure how this will apply to current Jump customers. I have paid half my current EIP, so I am eligible to jump now, but can I go for a deal like this or what. Tmobile is quickly getting too confusing.

TL;DR their single lines aren't a good value. I doubt very many people are using them.
No carrier's single lines are a good value. If you have a single line, an MVNO or prepaid line + Apple Upgrade would be cheaper than a postpaid line + T-Mobile JOD.

I think this seems like a good deal, only if you sell your old phone on your own. My question is, what happens if you lose your phone or break it? What then? Also, with this particular jump plan, does it have the insurance plan or is that separate and would either need to buy Tmobiles or Apples?

I may bite....

It has a plan that is $8 extra a month. But the deductible for repairs is like $175. I use either Upsie or Squaretrade. Upsie has a better plan going right now. $50/phone and $25 deductible.

That was in the body of my text :)

Although, apparently with what TMO is doing with JOD costing as little as $5/mo with a trade in (apparently any trade in will do), this may not be 100% accurate.

You would have a hard time getting an iPhone 6s and service for $55 per month before taxes.

So I went into the T-Mobile store today to discuss this promotion and I was told it will not be available until October 25th... There seemed to be a lot of confusion around it. Has anyone else heard when it will be officially started?

They do, but TMobile waived it because they screwed up my pre-order 4 times.

Also, for Jump On Demand customers the downpayment is waived upfront and built in to the monthly lease.

You only mentioned paygo which is a minority of prepaid service. If you only need 1gb of data Metro's $30 plan + $32 for Apple Upgrade comes close, and doesn't require a top-shelf trade-in or taxes on the plan price.

I had a chat with a T-Mobile customer service thingy and a phone call with my local store and they both indicated that I could come in THIS Friday and get all the goodies and perks then. If they dork this up I'm gonna be seriously frosted.
