I don't know about you guys, but with 3D printer being readily available I don't put much faith in leaks of this type. Especially if they're plastic parts. Anybody with a $500 3D printer, entry level CAD knowledge, and black ABS could have made this in a few hours. I know that because I could if I wanted to. Maybe I should start my own "leaks" page with fake parts :D
 
I am sitting here looking at my 4S, and a longer 4S is just plain ugly. Wide would have looked so much better.
 
Some of the kids that post in this forum are absolutely ridiculous. smh.

Oh noez the new iPhone has a 4" display! Yeah it's a bigger, better display... deal with it. That's where the market is... 4" displays are simply more useful for consumers.

And what is this "fragmentation" talk? I mean it baffles me when people go all the way to Defcon 5 whenever a piece of technology changes... even in the slightest. It'll be a little bit harder for developers to fit the resolution - sure. It's not like they'll abandon it any time soon though. And then we'll have 2 different sizes of iPhones... oh noez! Within five to seven years time... everyone will have a 4" iPhone. That's just how the technology cycle works.

I'm pretty sure... Apple... knows what their customers want.

There are other things behind the home button, you know.

Also, the button is in a perfect spot for something that is used so frequently. Putting it on top would be horrible.

Agreed; I think this is very likely.

As far as the look and feel of the hardware goes, this is Jony Ive we're talking about. Pretty sure it will be a stunner. And I doubt they rushed into the OS changes, either. :apple:

I think so. With "Shipping July ?, 2012". Apple can't wait till Sept/Oct.

I like everything I have seen except the (Liquid Metal)? Alloy Backing on the White.
I'm always wishing for more space in landscape. I don't want more width. This is like the Lumia 900. I find that phone VERY comfortable to hold. I'll upgrade if it performs well. Design wise, I'm sold. :apple:
 
My money is still on a 3.5 inch screen. A bigger screen would cause many headaches to the app developers. Plus, Apple doesn't have to make a bigger screen to break all sales records.

i agree, its been the same since 2007. it cant stay the same forever just because some devs complain. its their JOB and what they get PAID for

People said the same when the iPhone 4 was leaked. We all know how that turned out. You'll be one of the first in line to buy one when this is officially announced. And deep down you know it's true. :)

I totally agree. Put the home button on the side where your thumb naturally hits. Put identical buttons on either side so you can use the phone righty and lefty. Since I expect to be operating this phone with my voice at least 50% of the time, I want it set up to work like a walkie talky and for that I need a thumb button that pulls up Siri. It will be easier to use and the home button has never looked great.
 
I thought Tim Cook said there won't be other screen sizes of the iPhone? Or maybe he said that because the 3.5" iOS devices will be discontinued..
 
Some of yall are crazy... This is a RUMOR site. Those picture could be real could be fake. It looks weird now but pretty much everyone said that about the iPhone 4 design! I guarantee most of you (including me) will buy this phone no matter how it turns out looking. LOL
 
At least it's bigger. I would have preferred wider as well, since I have skinny fingers and still have trouble using the keyboard. It makes it a little nicer for watching movies on (which I never do anyway) but I wonder what it's going to do to photos.

The screens actual display area looks a little wider too!!! Look at the white bezel from the iPhone under.
