I don't think we need more screen estate. We need bigger text and icons. 4x6 grid is fine.

If it were at least 9.7 inches, I'd jump on it in a heartbeat.

Really? This beautiful opening for a “That’s what she said” joke and no takers?

OK, allow me ... oh wait ... :D

The bezel-less design is a bit funky, but I like the rest of it - if Apple offers a larger device, that would obviously be the time to rethink the “chin” proportions, general physical design, etc.

The more extra space for icons, the better. Mine is 5x6 plus the dock at the moment, and those are apps I use everyday.

But yes, those renders are awful. The shadows are off, the light bouncing off is not realistic because it gives the impression that the screen is much taller and off the table (because it's probably just the image of the home screen on a plane set to be intensified otherwise it would be dark), and the iPhone 5S and it again are too off the table that they look like they're floating.

Only picking because the guy has done better work, and it just seems weird that he would make that kind of mistake when like someone else pointed out, the phone is otherwise flat.

It reminds me of the Moto X and G.

Looks useless and amateur.

Solid metal rear doesn't take into account the need for antennas.

iPhone 5/5S outer rim is broken into multiple peice, two act as dual diversity cellular antennas. The glass panels on the back allow for wifi, bluetooth, and gps antenna.

All these concepts of people guessing about the new larger iPhone 6 - I don't like them, because they increase the size by adding more vertical rows, or adding an extra icon along the horizontal.

That's not what I want a larger screen for. My eyesight could do with some help by having larger-sized fonts and larger icons. I want a larger screen to see it easier.

All these concepts don't make the details any larger to improve visibility.

What I have always loved about the iPhone 4 and up is the fact you could stand it on edge and take a photo or watch a movie. Such smart and utilitarian design.

This design set down on a counter top will wobble and rock all over the place.

I love borderless displays, and I would definitely appreciate a larger screen, they're so pretty! But, let's be real, how many times has a rounded, bezeled, whatever shown up in mock-ups, and never happened? It won't happen this time either. The round-ness reminds me of a Magic Mouse....

Those don't seem accurate. You can pull off a 4.7" screen without going that much larger than the existing dimensions of an iPhone 5S. See also Moto X.

Such horrible mockups. The mockup iPhones are not proportional to the "real" iPhone in the picture. An iPhone with a 4.7 inch screen would NOT be that big, especially if the bezel is reduced on all four sides. I did some calculations of my own and a 4.5 inch screen fits into the current iPhone with minimal bezel on the sides with the touch ID sensor intact with symmetrically equal bezel on top and bottom. So, how can an iPhone with 4.7 inch screen be that much bigger?

Curved Back

I have to say, I like the idea of having a curved back. I never liked the flat back fo the iPhone 4/5 and the hard edge around the perimeter. I find it makes holding the phone without a bumper uncomfortable. I actually find that the 5c is much more comfortable to hold than the 4 or 5. If the curved back as shown was blended more into the sides rather than having a hard edge, I would be very interested in that! I'd like to see more ergonimcs to go with their "clean" designs in Cupertino.

I like the idea of a border-less display as well. It's got to happen eventually!

Bezel-less displays are a terrible idea and a usability nightmare. I couldn't imagine how many false positive touches you would get by simply gripping the phone with one hand. This is the same reason I hate capacitive buttons on android phones.

The design is very nice, but I don't need something larger in my pocket, I want something smaller. If they're going to start fiddling with size (a la "innovation, Samsung-style"), why is larger (than current) the only size they would choose?

I've not been a fan in the past of the idea of larger, but I think the idea has grown on me. Friends that have Galaxy S3 or S4s, I like the larger form factor and slight pebbling effect (curving and smoothing the edges). Not a huge fan of the sharp edges of the 5/5s. But I also go caseless.

Perhaps borderless displays is the next step, I'd like it. But the curved back seems veeeery uncomfortable and inappropriate...

If the screen goes edge to edge then it would be impossible to grip without activating edge icons/touch areas.

I love that 4.7" mockup. I'd love 5 icons in the dock, but 6 with such tight spacing just looks crowded.

I seem to be in the minority here, but I actually like the curved, anodized aluminum back, as well as the edge-to-edge screen. Very HTC One-esque, which is, in my opinion a good thing. As far as build quality and dimensions, the HTC One is the best on the market. If it ran iOS, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Apple could add an accessibility option with different resolutions / sizing and placements of objects. I'm actually a bit surprised they don't already offer that, now that I think about it. People with poor eyes might appreciate having the home screen scaled up so that there are only 3 columns with 5 rows each, or something.
