Target Information

The python script is working great! This morning a flood of shipments came in to almost every store in my area -- Paramus, Riverdale, Fairfield, Clifton, and Watchung, NJ. Sadly, they were ALL wifi models. The AT&T remains futile, for now. Regardless, the two that I got this morning should go a long way towards paying for mine once I finally find it. Maybe tomorrow morning I'll line up at 6am outside my Apple store and just end my search once and for all.

And to respond to some posters -- the shipments come in whenever the truck does. Based on what I've heard from Target employees, and what I saw today, they come in mid-morning (9:30-10:30) and again mid-evening (5:30-7:30).

One store had five (5) 16GB Wi-Fi black models. I purchased one here (ironically enough I had gone to the exact store an hour beforehand, so they gave me honest information when I called to confirm).

The other also had 16GB white models.

Due to the general laziness epidemic in Atlanta, there could be more to come over the next day or two, but they're in no rush to unpack them.

A few stores in Atlanta and the surrounding areas have been getting some 16gb quantities today.
 
Still frustrating that since last Monday, my 3 local Target stores have not shown any stock for the 16GB black wi-fi only model I am after. I'm beginning to wonder if their inventory system is running differently than other Target stores, have other posters have alluded to.
 
Worked for me!!!!!!!!
I picked up a 16 wifi black at the target near Carowinds in Charlotte about two hours ago.

Check again. At least 3 Targets in my area received 16GB black WiFi only iPad2s sometime this morning after opening (they all showed out of stock when I checked at 7am this morning).
 
I'm sorry you are having so much trouble. It has worked so well for so many people. Good luck with your Xoom or iPad 2, whichever comes first. Having used both at this point I'd say iPad 2 is your best bet and you'll be disappointed in the Xoom but everyone has their preference. The iPad 2 is truly hands above all of the competitor's offerings.

Dont know how you saw a black one in Poway on wednesday. Only white 64gb came up for me. Thats weird that we were getting two different results for the same store.
I am fed up at this stage. If the Xoom wifi was out I would have one now and not thought anything of this ipad2 crap.
So it'll be race as to which one i can get first.

Semi-success in Torrance

Hi everyone! First of all, thank you very much to the person who posted the inventory links -- just bought a white 64 Wi-Fi at the Target in Torrance, Ca. Have been checking the links faithfully since Launch with no luck in my area whatsoever. Happened to be there this morning (its my day off) and they had nothing and the saleslady said they would not be rcving anything else today, to check back tomorrow. I ran the numbers in the store scanner and it came up with nothing. Just happened to check the link before lunch and it showed available. Holy $%!! Ran over there and they had a couple white wifi only in 64 and a couple other ones I think in either 32 or 16.

Thing is I was at Best Buy on Launch day, waited in line for like an hour, and when they got to me they did not have any black 64 wifi's left. I could have bought a white then, but thought that for the money, I want to get the color I want and will not settle. I thought about buying one to sell, but decided that was just being greedy and I'm sure I could find the one I wanted the next day. Well, after a week and a half of chasing "ghosts" (the Wal-Mart system is either very inaccurate or the salespeople there are utterly clueless or both), I am very happy to settle. That is unless someone in the Southbay has a black 64 wi-fi sealed in box with a receipt and they want to trade...:)
 
IPAD 2 In LA!

I just picked up a Ipad 2 16GB wifi at my local San Pedro, CA store.

My python script gave me the following at about 11:05:

iPad available at Target Torrance, Target Pasadena, Target Los Angeles, Target Alhambra, Target Hawthorne, Target Los Angeles Eagle Rock, Target San Pedro, Target Pico Rivera, Target Huntington Beach East, Target Commerce!

I went to the San Pedro, Ca Target (I got there at about 12:01) and asked for the Ipad as it wasn't out yet.
A guy went to the back to get it. I asked how many they had and he said they received only 5 16gb black wifi.

So there is 4 left at that Target, and most likely more at the other stores the script showed.

This is absolutely correct.

My store (stores) had zero availability at 9am, first "availability" showed up at 10:20am (black) and 10:50am (white) [I set the script to 30 minute intervals], was "available" until about 12:30pm, then "limited" at 1pm, and sold out by 2pm.

I should also note that this store had ONE previously (launch day). So Apple might finally be getting more into the channel (beyond Apple retail stores).
 
Sadly, I was sitting in a two hour team meeting at work. I was a little bored and checked the inventory here in Northern VA on my iPhone. Surprisingly, the Falls Church store shows "Available" for the 64 GB Black ATT model. As the meeting stretched on, it slowly went from "Available" to "Limited Availability" to "Out of Stock" :( Same thing repeated itself for the Target in Washington DC. Interestingly, this was all about 1:30 pm -- so it pays to stay plugged in throughout the day because you just never now.
 
32GB Wifi

I just also purchased a white 32GB wifi iPad in Torrance, CA. It should up as available using the Target links. They also had black iPads. The employee said they unexpectedly received them today.

I ran over to Montgomeryville and they have a about a dozen in the case. Grabbed one and no one else was around. I don't think they've had any since release day though, so people may have stopped checking there.

Thanks CobraPA! Because of your post, I called my local Target and they had 4 (out of 5) White 16GB Wifi only today. I ran over and picked one up. I've been waiting for the Black 32GB AT&T, but I think I mint just cancel that order and reorder once all they hype and supply shortages die down.

I was REALLY tempted to pick up 2 and put one for sale, but decided to pay it forward. If someone else lucks out, then it's good karma!! :D
 
Anyone from the Chicago area that has had any luck with this script working? I have been using it and haven't found any Target in the greater Chicago area that has any model in stock.

When did you start? I don't think there has been any stock since Friday or possibly Saturday morning.

I honestly can't remember if anything popped up Saturday morning but I'm pretty sure there was nothing in Chicagoland. I definitely have not seen anything Sunday or today. The script works though.
 
The South Loop (Clark and Roosevelt - Chicago) Target had them listed as available for about an hour. I ran over there on my lunch break but by the time I got there they were all gone. I think one person snatched them all up. Bummer.

Thank you for this thread! Missed out on one in San Leandro on Saturday by literally 45 seconds.

Then this afternoon, saw one in stock on the Target site in Daly City, grabbed a Zip Car, ran out and got a white wifi 64gb at lunch!
