I think this is very helpful. I'm from the SF Bay Area and it's definitely a nice update.

Does anyone know what time does the mobile store close? I'm googled and it said 10PM but i highly doubt it. Hoping to be able to make an appointment late Saturday night on my way home from a trip.

It's 8pm here for our local stores in Sacramento. I'd assume it'd be the same out in the Bay.

No kidding,I imagine the same thing happening to myself. Walk out with my phone after waiting hours in the line and then get the email from Target saying they have your phone.

I'm imagining the same thing.

Wait in line for 6 hours at an AT&T Store... finally get in, settle for an i6... on my drive home, see e-mail from Target that my 6+ is in... get screwed by the upgrade timeline... cry.

Isn't there an option to cancel or reverse the upgrade? I used to work for T-Mobile (this was back in 2010) where there would be buyer's remorse periods of about 14 days. I could be totally wrong, but I assume you would pay a phone restocking fee..and ETFs may not apply in this case, would it?

I could have sworn I seen posted around these parts then when you reverse your upgrade (by returning a phone within 14 days) there's a slight delay in the system. Hopefully not, though. But I thought that's what I read.

Talked with our kiosk manager today, she seemed fairly confident that her 6+ preorders will arrive. Understandably hesitant on the "when". Also mentioned that most of the stores nearby haven't recieved their preorder shipment yet, because they were getting units yesterday and today that weren't even preordered at their store.

Hold out hope til tomorrow, guys!

If you pre-ordered from Target they did not take the upgrade from your account. They will process everything when you get your phone.

No, meant if I buy an i6 on Friday and then afterwards get a call from Target that my 6+ is in. Returning the phone to AT&T would be no problem, but I thought there is a waiting period until the upgrade is reversed (48 hours?).

Sometimes it takes days, sometimes its immediate.

Ooo,OK yes it's 48 hours. Some has luck going into a chat and the rep instantly reversing the upgrade.

Good to know!

Fingers will continue to be crossed tightly for the next 48 hours or so. If Target can come through with this... well, this guy right here is becoming a damn loyal customer.

No kidding I'm confident they are going to have them the question is when. Friday is to late for me as I'll be leaving the house right about this time tomorrow if I don't get an email from target.

One thing that does have my hopes up is there saying they are getting these phones overnighted to them so there is a strong chance they can get them tomorrow, also tomorrow is a truck day for my store.

That's cause they won't ever call you or email

I literally guarantee they won't call you and def won't have 6+ available anytime soon. Not saying it in a mean way just know from the last two years. They are horrible. Try to stand in line Thursday night

Hey guys,

So here's an update from Northern California:

I'm sorry, I know this info may not necessarily help the folks who are looking to upgrade with Next/Edge.

The same rep I spoke to from yesterday answered and told me they haven't received any shipments yet, but all mobile staff members have been instructed to show up at 8:00am, 3 hours earlier than the usual 11:00am opening. He also mentioned after thoroughly digging around for final pre-ordering count, the entire store only had a total of about 25 pre-orders as of Tuesday night. As he reiterated, those who are on the list should be able to have their order fulfilled by Friday morning. Of course, all conditional on the fact that an email is delivered to our inbox. Finally, I asked when they expect a shipment to come in, and he says typically, shipments come late at night, and a graveyard inventory crew will scan the products in.

If I recall correctly, as Surfer mentioned, the email will coincide at the time the phones are scanned in..so perhaps more than likely the email may come early Friday morning.

So, that's it for me for now...there won't be any more updates from my store as of today. One final round of calls tomorrow.

So, in other words, check your email before you head out the door at 1am for the carrier store. Jeez, the whole point of pre-ordering is to not have to wait in line in the middle of the night somewhere, wondering where to pee. Couldn't they give us a break and generate an email a bit earlier?

Hey guys! Fellow Target pre order here. Planning waiting in ATT line anyway just to be safe if no email comes...

Anyway, take this info with a grain of salt, but a buddy went to walmart today to preorder and they said the cut off was at 2pm EST. The said it wasn't just a walmart thing, but a deadline from apple. So I can only assume pre order stock for launch day has come and gone. Don't know if that helps, but I thought any info is good info!

Good luck to my fellow target pre orderers!

There owned by a different company now. And to be fair apple never official did pre-orders for the iPhone 5s so last year wasn't a true pretty order, not saying it was right though.

I initially did my pre-order online with ATT, at 2am on the 12th, and ended up canceling the same day around 8pm at an ATT corporate store. Almost immediately, my upgrade status was reversed and I was able to place the pre-order with Target the following day.

Bruh. The 5S never had pre-orders. If Apple didn't allow it, why would target?

Nothing yet. If what I've heard today is any indication, I wouldn't expect anything until tomorrow.

My store still isn't showing any stock and the mobile guys arent really very talkative. They just keep saying yea you'll get your phone. I ask well are you saying on Friday? And it's the same response every time you'll get your phone. So it sounds like they're intentionally dodging the question by not saying yes Friday.

placed a pre order with target today. the mobile rep made it sound like i'd be getting my phone either friday/saturday. i still plan on going to a verizon store to try and get one as well. worst case scenario is end up with a $25 gc

You'll be happy on Friday!!??!!

Placed my pre-order for two IPhones today and without asking the rep said I'll be a very happy camper on Friday. So hopefully that means I'll either get it or he's just passing on good Karma!

Inventory pages have gotten a little slow for me, more 16 GB 6's showing up right now. But that's all.
