It will be a cold day in you know where before I spend money with a company controlled or run by Musk.
I cannot imagine the luxury of choosing to do business with only CEOs I like or who agree with me. It’s like people who choose their art based on the viewpoints of the artists… very hard to do if you hold any non mainstream views. Who has the time or inclination to worry about it?

Apparently lots of people here.

My business school favorite is:
Those who can’t handle accounting switch to economics.
Those who can’t handle economics switch to finance.
Those who can’t handle finance switch to marketing.

If you won’t be creative with the accounting, switch to economics.

If you won’t be creative with the economics forecasts, switch to finance.

If you won’t be creative with the finance prospectuses, switch to marketing.

I'm not sure getting worked up on an optional $300 wireless charging accessory is relevant given the price of their cars and, especially, the astronomical repair/maintenance bill that comes with them.

It looks like it’s a cheap black cardboard box.The $300 price is a joke.

Who would buy this thing.. seriously?
It's a wireless charging pad, why would you even look at it? It's supposed to blend in and go unnoticed, not stand out like it's the star of the show.

They are Panasonic batteries.

Tesla fans are like Scientologists and Bitcoiners. Don’t even know about the saucy details of the stuff they shill.

Tesla produces cells at Fremont, California and Gigafactory Texas. It does also use 3rd party suppliers like Panasonic to meet supply demands. Is Apple any less of a computer company because it uses TSMC produced processors and screens produced by Samsung, who also manufactures Android devices?

Agree with the first part of your statement. But the second part is EV FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt).

better not look at the teams at Apple and Google

guaranteed you'll find engineers that made your phone that you absolutely hate 🫢
I’m sure there are, but I highly doubt they’re influential unhinged billionaire narcissists with ego problems

Funny. I am much more offended by Tim Cook than Elon Musk. Cooks unwillingness or inabilty to put some real, unscripted personal skin and opinions into the game, sounding and behaving like a PR-robot on repeat — it really insults me as a human being.

Yet, I still believe that both Apple's and Tesla's products are in a league of their own.
And I know that there are way, way worse ******-ceo's out there that people doesn't seem to be nearly as offended by.

Merry Christmas everyone. 🎄

Because they are the only two I hear about constantly. And I could probably only name Bezos and Gates otherwise, but I hear about them way less

Ugly as hell. Just like the Tesla Tank.
When I read the title I thought it was going to be interesting.
When I saw the photo, what a disappointment:
Ugly looks, ugly price.

I expected something better looking than that.
Design: 0
Creativity: 0
Functionality: ? (we’ll see).

Sorry, but it’s ugly, ugly, ugly!
Perhaps version 2 will correct that if it’s functional enough to have a version 2.

This thread is embarrassing. For the record, I’m a liberal millennial with a Tesla. I love it and respect what Elon has accomplished. I think his political antics are ridiculous, but I’m not gonna cry about it or stop buying Teslas. Not all of us are that triggered.

Not gonna buy a $300 charging pad that cant charge my watch though.
I have a good friend who has expressed your exact thought. I definitely respect and understand the perspective. For me I’ve always been very much a vote-with-your-dollars person. It’s hard for me to separate products from the company/people who produce them.

Most everyone has good points and bad points. When in my judgement the bad points outweigh the good, I tend to cut ties.

Imagine letting one person influence your purchasing decisions, when there are thousands of others involved with the company... People are just really weak minded and irrationally emotional these days.. Just let any little crap take over their thoughts and opinions.

Such a perfect Tesla product. Insanely too expensive, uses the wrong technology, and doesn’t even support Apple products. Ok those last two are the same problem. But no iPhone owners should ever even bother.
