So what exactly are the apps that are draining the battery? SB Settings? MyWi? SSH? Because I have all that installed and I don't know which one is causing my battery to drain.

I charged it fully before going to bed and disconnected and left it all night like that and I woke up and it was at 90% with 4 min usage and 7 hours of standby.

For me, it's Rock and MyWi. I remove those two and the battery is normal, install them and it starts draining faster than normal. Doesn't matter if I never even used them a first time.

Ok guys i tested my battery today and i cant really tell if its normal or not because i never really pay attention to the exact %. Im certain i had it close to fully charged this morning around 12pm and now its about 1am and its at 63%. I have lockinfo running, SB Settings with SSH turned off, and nothing else installed. Today i barley used the phone, texted a bit and played a game for like 10 mins. So im just wondering if this type of battery life is normal?

Hmm. Well I'm going to uninstall mywi and rock and test it tonight again to see if that's my problem too.

Well my battery is 100% worse than before jailbreaking. I haven't changed any settings and the first three days I had the phone I charged the battery to 100% and when I woke up it was at 99% with 3 to 4 min usage. Now after jailbreaking and having my3g,sbsettings , and 5 columns. After charging it to 100% for the past 3 nights my battery is actually getting worse. Now it's at 51 min usage and 90% battery. I have EVERYTHING turned off just like the phone was when it wasn't jb.

I did a test on mine.

Two nights ago, with sbsettings, wb, and not much else I went to bed with 100%. 7 hours later it was at 92% with 22 minutes usage.

Last night same thing, but sbsettings uninstalled, I woke up with 96% remaining but still 21 minutes usage.

Not sure what else to try.

I haven't installed any of the apps you guys are talking about ( SB Settings, MyWi, SSH) and my battery still drains horribly after jailbreaking. What I've noticed is that if I turn 3G on that's what is causing the battery drain. Running the phone in Edge gives me battery life just like before I jailbroke. I'm okay with that for talking and when I need to download data I just turn 3G on and take the hit. Something in the jailbreak process doesn't play nice with 3G. I haven't been able to link the battery drain to any app.

Could it be the unlock? I've unlocked my phone and I think it could be due to that. I've restored my phone from scratch but nothing's really changed.

I decided to return to stock. I have 2 iPhones and restored one back to stock with only 4 games installed. The other one has sbsettings, cydia, ultrasn0w and a few games installed. I charged them both last night to 100% and woke up to find stock has 1 min usage 9 hours standby at 99%. My jailbroken one has 2 min usage 9 hours standby at 85%.

Are these the same exact model iPhone? If they are different such as an iPhone 4 and a 3GS then you can't really compare the two because the 3GS will always have less battery life than the iPhone 4.

I noticed last night that my phone drained about 10% of battery in the 6 hours that I was sleeping with phone inactivity. I've got mywi and my3g and the only things toggles on in sbs being wifi, 3G, E, and my3g.

I really don't think this issue has too much to do with the JB personally... I was having this problem before the jailbreak was released. I am restoring now to see if this will fix the problem as it has for others. Will report back

My iphone4 battery drains about 10% overnight with only unltrasn0w installed.

Yea i noticed the exact same thing, about 10% in the 11 hours i was sleeping. All i have installed is are the basics.

Could winterboard be doing this with the custom icons?

Ok I'm starting to think it's something different with all of us, maybe some of us have the similar problem, but I uninstalled mywi and did a test last night, it was charged up to 100% and left untouched overnight, only had like 3 min usage and battery was still 100%. Now before that night I did the same test except that I still had mywi installed and the next morning it was at 90% with 4 min of usage. Everything was turned off in both nights. So yeah for me mywi :(

It's starting to look like that's the culprit for both my phones. Been messing around with it some more and I only now have a few games and Cydia installed and so far no drainage. Going to put on ultrasn0w on one of them to see if I can confirm that is the problem on my phone.

On my iPhone 4, I tied the battery drainage to MyWi and Rock. I never had the phone unlocked with Ultrasn0w. Once I removed MyWi and Rock, my battery is back to normal. It stayed at 100% for six hours this morning.

I'll just install MyWi when I actually need it which won't be that often.

Before with 1 hour of straight use(ipod, game, safari) it would only go down to 90%. Now after jailbreaking at the end of that hour its at 80%, basically double the time.

My battery life went cruddy after installing cydia apps on it yesterday. Decided I don't need winterboard at the moment so I took that off and I'll have to keep an eye on it, but if it still happens, you'd have to think SB Settings and/or Activator would be the most likely culprit.

Ive been restored for a little while now and i can already see the difference. I think I'm closer to where I should be. Charged to 100% left it for a few hours and it'd still at 100%

I used pkgbckup and restored my phone from backup so my phone is basically exactly as it was before.
