OK, first of all, congrats on a fantastic thread. Muchos kudos and hats off to you.
I have one or two questions though;
Cheers,
Brian.
And here are some answers:
I. Yup your Bootloader is 3.9My iPhone is a week 43 unit. This will have the 3.9 bootloader, right?
II. You can downgrade your baseband if you'd likeWhat does this mean in real terms?
III. You can jailbreak if you want the applications, but unlocking is for those who want to use the iPhone in other carriers. If those are your intentions, then go ahead and unlock.My phone is about 4 months old now, running 1.1.4 but otherwise out of the box condition. Should I jailbreak and unlock all in one go?
IV. Upgrading to 1.1.5 or 1.2.0 is not possible right now because such firmwares do not exist. If they were to exist and you upgraded by mistake, you can go back down to 1.1.4Lets say I want to upgrade to 1.1.5 or v2.0, will this be possible?
V. When ever you upgrade or restore your iPhone you always have to jailbreak again. Unlocking is different, you see, if the unlocking solution is permanent then you only have to unlock once; however, if it is a solution like anySIM, then you have to unlock every time you upgrade/restore.Will I need to restore it first and then upgrade, and then repeat the jailbreak and unlock procedures once again?
VI. Your iPhone can't be bricked if you do not intentionaly want to make it a brick.Or would my phone become bricked in this situation?
VII. You would be stuck forever in 1.1.4 if you decide to, only you can decide which firmware you want.IN short would I be stuck with 1.1.4 forever?
