Perhaps you need to revise the people you mix among if you see so many people with that mindset. Where I'm from mobile phones ceased being about making a statement in around 1999. iPhones are so popular here nobody cares.I love how there are so many insecure (and immature) people that they have buy a specific color phone just to show people "look at how special I am... I got the newest, most up-to-date iphone."
I seriously don't give a crap who knows my phone is newest or not... I'm buying it for ME.
Maybe if we step away from the 'America' angle and consider a lot of people also commenting and discussing their views are from many places around the globe. It doesn't do the stereotype much good either.Dude you need to get over it, all I said was that in most of America you typically only see females wearing pink, and if you get a pink iPhone you would expect to see few males with them. I never said males shouldn't get them or this is how I felt.
Wiki sources...Actually (and rather surprisingly) it hasn't.
"Many have noted the contrary association of pink with boys in 20th-century America. An article in the trade publication Earnshaw's Infants' Department in June 1918 said:
The generally accepted rule is pink for the boys, and blue for the girls. The reason is that pink, being a more decided and stronger color, is more suitable for the boy, while blue, which is more delicate and dainty, is prettier for the girl."

Fascinatingly, wikipedia articles have a "sources" section at the bottom.Wiki sources...

I did consider that after I posted but sadly the mindset she refers to (i.e immaturity and insecurity) is actually displayed by those who suggest the Rose Gold can't be considered by males. Unless she is reading something we're not?Pretty sure she was talking about the people in this forum having that mindset.

Erm, excuse me, which colour is your iPhone, sir?
Actually is funny that you mention that with such entitlement of an "I know everything" tone, for there IS indeed Monarchy in the Americas. And although American as an USA Monarchy isn't listed, there was in Hawaii which in the beginning of last century was abolished by the United States Military as they took over the island. However today there are still royal descendants in the island just like there's several monarchies in the rest of the America's which obviously you're very ignorant of. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monarchies_in_the_Americas Google is YOUR friend. We have lots of Kings in America right? Come on people, if you are going to keep quoting my old posts at least finish reading where I refer to America.
That's because you're self absorbed.
I'm buying mine for my CAT.

So how come you get to rock the pink but a man can't?i'm totally a pinkie pink girl! (that's why I hated their NOTPINK watchband!)
I've already ordered their new vintage pink (pretty ballet pink color)
I have always used a hot/neon pink case or skin on my phone anyways! I have a matching skin on my ipad mini...
i'm all about PINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought this article might be interesting.
Especially for men who think that pink or rosé or whatever is a girlie colour...
It wasn't always like this... ; )
"Pink was once a color associated with masculinity, considered to be a watered down red and held the power associated with that color. In 1914, The Sunday Sentinel, an American newspaper, advised mothers to ‘use pink for the boy and blue for the girl, if you are a follower of convention.’ The change to pink for girls and blue for boys happened in America and elsewhere only after World War II."
