Thank you. I showed it to my friend and really liked it. There is a "share holders" meeting tonight at the coliseum. Snow and Nolan are going to detail their plan to fix the franchise.

I sent it via email to the customer service email box. I also submitted it online as a question for Snow and Nolan. My friend also faxed it in for me and I submitted it to my local newspaper.

Ultimately I want it to go to Wang (and no it's bad that you giggle at that). I will probably end up mailing that in. I was very serious about that letter, I wasn't playing around. These are some of the things I felt is wrong with the Isles ATM. They need to be addressed.

Be sure to let us know if you hear anything, it seems like a good idea, and I hope the important people do get to read it, especially if it is in the newspaper. That means "Hey, a lot of people agree with this...uh-oh." Like I said you bring up some great points. Hopefully you'll see some good things here soon.

I figured it wouldn't hurt, most of those things get passed off anyway. I'm gonna see where I can take this and see if I can muster some type of support. Thanks for your support :p. I'll be sure to keep ya'll updated.

Interesting letter, Teh Don. It would be nice if it has some effect. That would show us that the fans actually do matter to these people. Unfortunately, people don't like being told that they are doing things wrong, and they'll probably continue doing what they want anyway. The only chance for change is usually a management house cleaning.

Can you draft one for the Leafs now? Actually, never mind. It's not like our Board of Directors would actually listen- they don't even realize that the fans have an opinion.

"You'll take what we give you and you'll like it!!!! Give us your money and stop questioning us!!!!!"

They could stuff each uniform with a bag of pucks and the Air Canada Centre would still sell out.

Thanks Surely. Yea it would be nice, but I'm a realist and I know it won't. I just wanted to be heard, the fact is they aren't listening. I would love to see a change in management right now, this team isn't going anywhere except to Kansas City.

Sure! You can use mine and replace whatever you deem necessary.

I LOLd.

I just realized something:

The bag of pucks Maple Leafs roster may actually produce a better record than the team we have now. THAT'S the idea I should put in a letter to them!

Well, hopefully change comes to MLSE soon. But I'm not holding my breath.
There's a very strong possibility that Brian Burke will be allowed out of the final year of his contract with the Ducks to be able to take the job in Toronto. It's where he wants to be, and the Ducks owner has said that he wouldn't stop Burkey if he wanted to leave for TO.

Burke would be interesting b/c he wasn't the sole orchestrator of the current Ducks team. Bryan Murray had alot to do with it before he left. Surely anyone will be better than Ferguson although i say that tongue and cheek b/c no matter who the GM is, they need full buy in and support (as in financial) from the board of governors.

that team, much to my glee, has been handfisted by not being allowed to spend the money. they are one of the richest teams in the league, which is why i'm overjoyed. Maybe the fans don't deserve it, but i wish the fans would stop going just to F*ck the cheap bastard owners back! :)

go habs go! :)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

The Sens got swept!

That totally makes my day. Ah........ thanks Pitt!

Redden always looks like he's about to cry. This pic could have been taken on any day of the season.

Idk man, the Islanders organization is very fan friendly. All it takes is enough people to say something before people start listening, and in this case, the fans have a large chance of being heard. You won't have to chant "Fix this team!" at the arena like Knicks fans chant "Fire Isiah!" imho. (However the Dolans are another story lol.)

That was a good letter, I respect your motivation and your love for your team.

Rangers, that was some game, kept me on the edge of my seat the whole damn night. Did anyone see (I think it was) Parise knock the stick straight out of The King's hands? Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that a penalty?

The ref's missed a lot of stuff tonight. Nevertheless.

3-1. LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rangers beat the Devils 5-3 tonight. Brodeur is so overrated.

And yes, Parise should have been given two minutes for interference. Refs were handing the Devils the game on a silver platter and they couldn't do anything with it.

Lest you forget when Islanders fans chanted "We Suck!" for many years.

Thank you sir.

Yea, that should've been called. (as much as it pains me to say that)

Marty is overrated really? REALLY??!?!?!?!

Anyways, Pens sweep out the Sens. I got the team right, but not the number of games.

Brodeur may be on the way down a bit in terms of talent, but he's not overrated.

look at the records he holds and the # of stanley cup rings he has.

I'm not a fan of the devils or him, but you can't deny he's been one of the greatest goalies of all time.

The sens are down. The train wreck is disgracefully to an end.

GO HABS GO!

Marty IS overrated. But, as much as I hate to say it, not much.

Dropping the bias, Marty is excellent. He's by far one of the best goalies of all time. However, he has benefitted from a great defense and the neutral zone trap for a very long time. The Devils were always a very defensive minded team. So in that respect he's ever so slightly overrated because I think many people tend to look past that. But it's almost insignificant, if anything he'd have a .002 lower sv%. He's still great.

Oh that was painful... lol j/k.

LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!

Hockey hockey hockey hockey hockey hockey hockey!!

I just love game days.
T minus 4 1/2 hours till the early games.
And the Avs v Wild gets on in 6 1/2 hours.

Tonight's game is huge.
So is game 4 for the Caps and for the Ducks.
Game 5 in San Jose will be interesting, but might not tell us much.

Go Caps, even it up.
Go Stars, put the Ducks on the brink.
Go Avs, let's keep that momentum and come home with the chance to close it out.
Go Flames, put the Sharks on their heels.

There some imporant things you didn't quote!

Regardless of the Emery situation, this could be a very different looking Senators team next year as forwards Shean Donovan, Chris Kelly, Cory Stillman, Randy Robitaille and Martin Lapointe, along with blueliners Wade Redden, Mike Commodore and Luke Richardson will all be unrestricted free agents come July 1st.

That plus Emery, and the state of the Sens management, we could be looking at a total fall out of the team. Not good, I like competition and no team really deserves that.

Thoughts?

No team really deserves what? Having 8 of your players become unrestricted free agents all at the same time? That's a management error and is bad planning, and Murray will have to handle all of this very well in the offseason to prove that he's a good GM. They should know what is going on with their contracts. Melnyk is supposedly supporting him, so chances are he won't be fired, which will leave him there to pick up the pieces of the mess he created.

Competition? They took a big gamble- without a proven goalie- and went all in for this season. They lost. Tough s***. That's the way it goes. They have no one to blame but themselves. It's every team for themselves.

And don't think that there isn't any competition left in the East now that Ottawa is out. Don't forget the Isles! (Sorry Teh Don, I had to take a jab at someone- my post was too serious:D)

Um, if you glanced at my icon you'd probably know I really do hate Ottawa, but with the recent events of my team almost moving to Kansas City I know what it feels like to have your team on the edge of a cliff. I am saying once those people are gone, because like you said they have horrid management, things will get way worse. I'd say they are only, maybe, going to keep 70% of that list.

As of competition, calm the hell down, I wanted them to lose, I am just saying regular season or not, the Pens vs. Sens games are some of the best to watch because we usually get very physical, and aggressive when we play them.

Um, how can I "calm the hell down" if I was never riled up in the first place? I'm pretty sure that this is a friendly thread, there's really no need for language like that. Maybe you should reread my post and realize that I didn't type in caps lock.

You don't have enough of a history with the Senators to be able to call it hate.

I can assure you that there is no chance of the Ottawa Senators going anywhere. They are hardly on the edge of a cliff. You think they're going to move because they got swept in the playoffs? This is Ottawa, not Pittsburgh. Their management is far from horrid, but they have a huge mess to clean up. The only fallout of them having a bad team is that they'll suck and Leaf fans will rejoice.

I doubt that they're going to keep 70% of those players. From the sounds of it, they are going to be making major changes, which may include trading Heatley or Spezza. Why would they want to keep a team together that was only able to win 18 of their final 48 games of the regular season and then get swept in the playoffs?

Chill, dude.

Preds have a decent team, I still think they can pull it out. If I was the Wings I would totally start Osgood over Hasek. Ozzie has been spectacular for the Wings this year.
I would be starting Osgoode as well. I guess they had to start off with Hasek because of his playoff experience. Why else would they have re-signed him? I think they'll go with Osgoode for game 4. He played so well for them this season- they should give him his deserved chance.

Lest we forget that Ozzie won a cup or 2 with Detroit as a STARTER. Playoff experience nothing. Ozzie should be in net.

We definitely should not forget that. I agree, Osgoode deserves to start at least next game.

At least the next game. Don't be foolish Detroit.

I agree, I think Osgood should start over Hasek. They both have experience in the post season, they're both great, yes Hasek is the Dominator, but like I said before he's 43. I like Osgood over Hasek right now, but yet and still I don't think the Wings can take the cup.

So it looks like it's Osgood for game 5.

Good job Babcock! That's the right coaching decision. Or maybe he read this thread.....hmmmm.......

GO HABS GO!

Keebler, if you knew anything about hockey (and I don't mean that condescendingly...lots of people just don't know) you'd know that Brodeur played for a Devils team for MANY years whose game was to get 1 goal and then trap. When you see 12 shots a game it's not hard to have a lot of wins.

It's in the new NHL where the trap has been defeated by getting rid of the two line pass and more tightly calling hooking penalties that the Devils can't adjust. Marty too. And that's what we've seen from him post-lockout.

And don't think that there isn't any competition left in the East now that Ottawa is out. Don't forget the Isles! (Sorry Teh Don, I had to take a jab at someone- my post was too serious:D)

BTW, you can call me TDD. It's easier that way. :)

So it looks like it's Osgood for game 5.

Oh wow so they must've read our posts about that, eh?
