That was absolutely horrible. I don't know how they managed to butcher that. The Devils were shorthanded, the Refs have to be on top of that.

I'll agree with you on that. If there was a Ref behind the net, then play would've continued thus leading to the tying goal. However, if I'm not mistaken there wasn't a Ref there thus the call you got. (I'm waiting for the highlights to show up online)

Horrible isn't the word.

He wasn't directly behind the net, but from his vantage point I feel like he could have seen it. But once again it doesn't matter. All we can do now is bounce back and win 2 at home.

I'm starting to wonder if I should shave my beard lol. This is the first time they lost two in a row this post season. Maybe it's time?

Anybody know what the voting looks like for the Vezina?
 
Is Sunday inactivity day in this thread? Nothin' since early afternoon....

Anyway, for all those that can only access this thread and no other websites:

Dallas won 5-2 and are up 2-0 on San Jose. I thought it was a good close game until the Stars broke away.

The Pens won 2-0 and are up 2-0 on the Rangers. I only saw the first period, but I'm sure Crosby took a few dives and embellished interference at least once.

Clearly, he's leading them well.
Good for them. I don't think they'll take both games in NY, but I think they'll take at least one.
 
Glad I picked the Stars to win that series. They are absolutely hot right now. If the D* keep this up they can polish the Sharks in perhaps 5 games. :eek: Crazy.

The Penguins are 0-3-1 at MSG this season. I think they'll take one game (Game 4) and head home to polish off in Game 5. (That's what I at least hope).

One game on the docket tonight, Habs v Flyers 7pm
 
One of the local Philly radio stations is telling all the fans going to the game tonight to bring all their Celine Dion albums/cds.I'd hate to see what happens if one of the Flyers gets a hat-trick:D:D:D

I'll be there tonight with my son. Last time I was at the Waco Center was when my son's varsity high school team won the Flyers Cup:cool::cool::cool:

Yeah tonight's game is going to be crazy, I picked the canadians to win this series but me being from philly and a true fan i would loved to be proved wrong. :)
 
I think it will be Wings - Canadiens in the final.

I don't like either team, but the Red Wings certainly deserve it the most after dominated the Western Conference for the last 5 years.

I'd love to see that Original Six matchup. The Red Wings should really be in the Eastern Confernce, but that's a whole other topic.

I don't know if the Wings would be able to get by D* (that is, if both of those teams make it through this round). They're really starting to pick it up now.

If the Habs can beat the Flyers, and the Pens beat the NYR, that will be a tough matchup. Neither team would be the favorite there. It really could go either way.

btw, i hope steve downie suffers a career ending injury. that guy is one of the biggest punks to hit the ice in a long time. His hit in the preseason on McAmmond was just the topper. The trip tonight on Price when he (downie) didn't even try to get the puck...what a punk. someone needs to clean his clock. I wish I was tough enough to kick the **** out of him if I ever saw him. Honestly, that guy is going to end someone's career doing something reckless.

He reminds me of Ulf Sameulsson who was a dirty loser too. I'm sure Cam Neely fans remember that name. Sameulsson ended his career.

whew. can you tell i'm pumped? I guess I would after the Habs outchanced the flyers 20-9 in the last game and they lost :( ugh.

btw, it is neat to see all the orange in the wachovia centre. great fans.

They may be great fans, but it's easy to have everyone wear orange when you give everyone a free orange t-shirt before the game (that says Crush the Habs on them).

That was pretty cheap by Downey. The guy's a clown. Believe me, he'll get his. Someone will hit him hard..... maybe with a little elbow for good measure.... at some point. I don't wish a career ending injury on anyone though.

I've always viewed the majority of players as clowns on Philadelphia. Seriously, for some reason they always seem to have dirty teams.

ugh. at least the Habs made a game of it. i sure the 2 goals on the PP sheds the Sens like powerplay woes. The habs still outplayed them I believe, but Philly, and i hate to admit this, scored on the few chances they have.

Price has to be better than 3 goals on 12 shots. not good... halak is great though too. will be interesting to see if Carbs goes with Halak for the next game or maybe Price will, but with a short leash.

Price definitely has to be better next game. I think Carbs will still go with Price- don't want to mess with the kid's confidence. Halak knows he's the back-up, so if they go with Price again, it's no harm to him. But a short leash may be in order

Guten Tag Kiddies!

We got 3 games on tonight's bill:

Pens v Rags, 7pm
Sharks v D*, 7:30pm
Wings v Avs, 10pm

It's full plate of delicious playoff hockey sure to suit everybody's needs.

I think the Rags will win tonight (I don't want them to) and the Pens will win on Thursday.

Sharks desperately need a win to avoid going down 0-3. The D* have been looking pretty filthy though.

Theodore is getting the call tonight against the Wings. I'd keep him on a short leash if I were the Avs. Forsberg is also gonna be in the lineup tonight. Perhaps the Avs will get their first win of the series.

I'm sure you're loving this, TDD. Can the Pens sweep 2 series in a row? That would be quite the feat for this team. You would think that they are apt to lose a game at some point.

TDD is totally loving this right now. TDD will love a sweep even more! I think they can pull it off, but I dunno.

D* totally owning the Sharks.

Wings also go up 3-0 in their series with the Avs.

What the hell?!?!?!?! I thought all the series would be closer!
