Call me a bad fan, but I think the Habs are out. They are only playing hard in the last couple of minutes.

What happened to Ryder by the way?

bad fan...bad fan. (slaps wrist :)

the difference has been biron and the flyers PK. Other than that, the Habs have outskated, outshot and outchanced the Flyers.

They have been playing hard for every game. Did you see the first 7 minutes last night? The habs were all over them. As much as they are down 3-1, I still feel confident. A few inches will get them more goals.

Biron's been standing on his head and the Habs haven't given up too many chances. When they do, to Philly's credit, they've scored.

This has to be one of the closest 3-1 series I've ever seen.

And ironically to Habs fans who have been treated to great goaltending in the past, we're getting stoned by a goalie :)

This series doesn't bode well for either team if the Flyers don't win the next game b/c it means a longer series while Pittsburgh will probably be resting after tonight.

cheers,
Keebler

Sloppy passing, have you seen how many powerplays they've had, in the series i think its around 15. Its horrible. Then some plays last night, i was disappointed they practically gave the game away.

Never the less I will be cheering for the habs.

Anyone think all of the match ups will go 3-1 into game five? I hope the Avs get a win in, but I don't know how possible that is tonight.

I am going to die, because the game is on VS and I don't have it, so I won't be able to see the Penguins. The first game I am missing :( probably not a good sign.I seriously feel sick damn finals and people needing to study pfft let me come over and watch the game!!!

Dude, just hit up a Primantis....you can't beat the huge slices of dollar pizza or the dollar drafts during ALL pens games!

sloppy passing or strong PK pressure from the Flyers?

they'll be ok. if they win the next one, Philly's confidence will be hurt.
keep those fingers crossed.

I wish i could I am in Indiana, PA..THERE IS NOTHING HERE I'm really starting to regret picking this school. But there isn't that many good choices in western PA.

There has to be a sports bar/restaurant up there...I was just in Indiana recently, but I didn't see anything.

Not many good schools?! What About Duquesne, Pitt, St. Vincent, or that place called CMU :p

But I hear, yeah...it must stink not being able to see any of the games, do you have a car? You could always take a trip to the Primantis in Greensburg (prob about 40 min away), which is where I'll most likely be...

CMU is so a safety school. Gawd.....:p

Stop talking about Primantis, you're giving me cravings. I always made sure to go there when I would visit my brother- who went to CMU.

The Habs are in deep merde. If they can actually win this series, they will make it to the Cup final.

The Rangers are over.

I think the Sharks are over next game. D* is too good.

The Wings/Avs series has been a real letdown. Where is the emotion? Where is the hate? Bring back Claude Lemieux to drop the puck at the next game!

Edit: I just read that both Forsberg and Smyth will not be playing tonight. Tough night for the Avs.

The NYR were due for a win. Sorry Ditty. They weren't going to be swept at MSG. The Pens needed a loss- a character builder. They need to know that they aren't invincible.

Wow. Unless some miracle occurs in the 3rd, it's bye-bye Avalanche. They're down 6-1 already.

I really expected this series to be a lot closer. I thought the Wings would win, but I thought the Avs would put up a bigger fight. I hope Sakic and Forsberg come back for next season.

And what are they going to do about Theadore? He's earned to be re-signed, but, geez, he's so inconsistent.

The 2nd round has been a little *yawn*, IMO.

I know that. I was expecting the Rags to win game 3. I think/hope that the Pens will finish them off on Sunday.

Somebody call a doctor because there was a murder at the Pepsi Can last night.

Wings 8
Avs 2

Wings win series 4-0

Holy cow, the wings are insane!! I thought the series would have been closer as well!

I expected the Pens to lose, my prediction was Pens in 5 with a split at MSG, lets see if they can finish it on Sunday (I really hope so!)

GO FLYERS...

Watching the clincher last night really drove home how much better the Wings are than the Avs this year. I thought that the Avs would have to play exceptionally well to win the series, and the injuries just made that too tough. I think the Wings would likely have won even with the Avs at full strength, but certainly not in a sweep. We just gave up too much puck possession time, and basically let the Wings do what they wanted.

In terms of next season, I really don't see Foppa coming back, since he's reportedly got tears in both groins. Sakic, who knows? I like the development I've seen from the 3rd line guys like Guite, and Stasny continues to improve.

What the hell are we going to do with Theodore? Is he the goalie from the Wild series or the Wings series? My guess is he's both, and maybe that's not good enough to contend for a Cup.

Theodore's inconsistencies are well known and they go back to his days with the Habs. Clearly the Avs have a problem there and the need to address it.

I certainly thought this series would be a lot closer than what it was. The Avs simply got PWNED.

As Surely mentioned, the 2nd round has been pretty meh so far.

The Pens should polish off the Rags in Pitt on Sunday.

Do the Habs start Price or go with Halak? Halak was pretty solid and was only bested by Biron's strong performance. Kudos to Biron so far.

D* should be able to close out the Sharks in the Shark Tank tonight. Turco has been playing like a man possessed. The D* remind me of the Devils of old, with solid D in front of Brodeur.

I think you meant intrastate.
You must have gone to one of those awful Pittsburgh schools- seems like a CMU mistake to me.... :D;):D:D

I don't see Foppa coming back, definitely not if Sakic doesn't return.

Theodore is a tough call. He played really well down the stretch and pretty much earned to be re-signed, but he's so inconsistent. If it was my decision, I would try to see what else is out there first, and then sign him if there is no other choice. He reminds me of the Leafs and Raycroft.

I think they'll go with Halak, I really do. Give Price one more night off. If they win, and it's primarily because of Halak, keep playing him. If they actually win the series, start Price in Game 1 of next series. If they win tonight, but not really thanks to Halak, start Price next game.
Or maybe I have no idea WTF I'm talking about.

Halak played so well I think he deserves another shot in net. He kept them in that game.

Well that's not true, we are pretty dead on with our goalie picks. The Avs should've started Budaj last night, but I don't think it would've mattered. The Wings we're just too much.

Dude, that would be interstate 76 (the highway that runs between Philly and Pittsburgh).I was born and raised in Philadelphia, not Pittsburgh...

Peace

Ah, I see. I was unaware of the highway.

Sorry guy, no offense intended. I was just poking fun at someone's comments about there being no good schools in Pitt.

GO FLYERS...

That would be one hell of a series, as both teams are red hot right now. As much as I obviously want the Pens to win, I wouldn't mind seeing Umberger get to the Cup. After all, I played against him a few times before...he is a great guy. We shall see what will happen.

Have you guys in Philly heard of the rumor of a Flyers-Pens game up at the Penn State football stadium? How sweet would that be? I think they'd seriously have to separate the fans to prevent massive fighting :p

Yeah, I know...why is CMU sooo bad?

Yeah, Umberger I forgot is a local guy,he loves to play against you guys.

DId I start that rumour:D:D:D I think a morning sports radio show in Philly started that rumour:):):)

Flyers vs Pens in Beaver stadium would be rockin:cool::cool::cool:

I'd be there in a heartbeat...

Peace

It's not- it's an awesome school. There are some great schools in Pitt. That's the joke. :)

I've heard about that rumor.... I don't remember where..... I don't think it'll happen just yet since the Pens were involved in this season's outdoor game. I think the NHL is focusing on Toronto or Montreal for the upcoming season.

Looks like the Habs are going with Price for Saturday night, TDD. I don't know man, that may be a risky call by Carbs.

Although, it's the politically safe call:
If he goes with Halak, and they lose, everyone would be on him for not starting Price.
If he goes with Price, and they lose, he can just say, "What? I went with my starting goalie. You can't win 'em all"
If he goes with Price, and they win, he looks like a genius.

Anybody else with me that Morrow was absolutely jobbed by the replay officials on the disallowed 2nd period goal? This game should have ended 3-2 Dallas in regulation, but instead is now going to OT.

And then they lose barely a minute into OT...pathetic.
