By "a pin" do you mean "playoff hopes of the Rangers"?
I can't believe how well the Pens are playing!

Sean Avery went into Cardiac Arrest This Morning

EDIT: Looks like conflicting reports.

Ruptured Spleen
No, lacerated spleen. Way better than a ruptured spleen. Looks like he's going to be ok, no surgery required, just a few days in the hospital.
I can't believe that this is what it takes for the NHL to make it to CNN's main page.
This is a big loss for the Rangers. He's been a high-impact player for them (obviously not enough of an impact this series)/ I'm sure that the NYR's loss makes you very sad TDD.![]()
I meant lacerated spleen. A ruptured spleen would be a bit worse and cardiac arrest would top that.
Whoa! Congrats NHL!
It is a big loss for the Rangers, but their season is just about finished anyway. FTR as much as I hate/despise Toolface Avery, I wouldn't wish death or anything like that upon him. I reserve that for one man and only one man only... (it's not hockey related)
Agreed.
The NHL has hit the big time! Bettman needs to implement a new freak-injury bonus policy (that doesn't count against the cap, of course) so they can get more press.
Yeah, I can never understand when someone wishes death or injury on an athlete. It's a little much.
Whoa, TDD, looks like you've got some pent-up anger brewing.Remind me not to disagree with you too much for fear of my life! Sh*t, I'd better go back and edit anything bad I've ever said about the Isles from my posts.....
Who's on your hit list? Now I'm curious.....
Don't worry about the Isles, you can continue to bash away. I know I will! Oh. Right.
Hist list: said president oh and said VP. So 2.
(Note: Just in case the FBI, CIA or any of those types are watching. I would never do it.)

The Leafs are fair game too.
I wouldn't want them dead, I would want them to suffer. How about taking all of their money and power away and forcing them to live on the streets in downtown Detroit for the rest of their lives? That would teach 'em.
We'd better stay away from the politics talk though, otherwise this thread will be moved to The Politics, Religion, Social Issues section, and no one would be able to find it.
p.s. Malkin deserves the Hart trophy by far.
So do the Avs start Budaj on Thursday?
Looks like Halak is getting the call for the Habs instead of Price tonight. Gutsy move by Carbonneau.
Hope it works out for them- this game is the difference between being down 3-1 or being tied at 2-2.![]()
I forgot to comment on this. No way, it's all Ovechkin. Are you kidding? The Caps went from last to first, and without him, that wouldn't have happened. Malkin was definitely huge for the Pens when Crosby went down, but he wasn't as valuable as AO. Malkin will win his Hart in due time though. He's awesome.
I quoted myself!
Uh-oh. The Halak experiment didn't work out......Habs down 3-1. On the brink!
Dude, blame it all on your goalie/goalies![]()
Bro, I feel for you being a Leafs fan. Now you know what I felt like last year when the Flyers won just 21 games.Whoa, whoa, whoa. Back up a sec.
My goalies? Take a look at my avatar my friend. They ain't my goalies.
I'm supporting the Habs, but they aren't my team. (Actually, they're my wife's favorite team- she grew up there- and I usually rip on her a bit about them. I semi-inherited them when we got marriedLeafs-Habs games were fun when we lived in Toronto.)
Actually, as much as I despise the Flyers, I'm really happy for Biron. He's finally getting the spotlight and doing great. Last year during the playoffs, he was an analyst for TSN (or maybe Sportsnet) and he was really good and he seemed like a really nice guy. Good for him. I have mixed feelings about this series because I'd like to see him do well.

Biron has certainly been decisive but what about the Flyers' penalty killing compared to Montreal's? I think that, had Montreal been anywhere near as effective as the Flyers then they might have been able to force overtime.Biron won the game, plain and simple.
Totally agree. Ovechkin carried that team on his back. I mean the guy takes a million shots a game (lower scoring percentage than other high-scorers in the league), but that's what he has to do to get his team to win.I forgot to comment on this. Yes. Yes they do.
100% agreed! If the caps didn't make the playoffs, it would have been Malkin...but no doubt it will go to Ovechkin!
