Isles draft party is this Friday night, I'll see first hand how bad we'll jack up our pick.

Except Sundin is worth every penny that any team, including the Leafs, will pay him. I don't think it's possible to overpay Sundin. He's 37 and playing some of the best hockey of his career. Hell, he was +17 on a team that couldn't even spell 'defense'.

Re-signing Sundin wouldn't be the worst thing the Leafs could do.

I say, re-sign him, have him there to lead and teach the younger guys, and then trade him at the deadline next season to get some picks and younger talent.

Malkin no way will be leaving, I believe he was called "top priority" by some of the Penguins staff. Malone could be leaving, the stipulation is that we need to find out if he is worth 5$ million.. Honestly I think so, he's a good consistent player, I honestly think he'll take a pay cut, his dad played on pitt, and he grew up in Pittsburgh, I probably would take the cut to stay with the penguins, I guess all in all it just remains how much, and to what extent is his greed ( I assume not high at all, he seems like a pretty sensible person).

I don't think we can afford them, but that was the number that was thrown out there. I have heard the same thing as well, to columbus, but...why I think they can afford him, but they are not good...

Honestly I hope that Hossa will stay, I really like his playing style, and he seems to fit right in here. He's great with any line he is on. I really do like Hossa, and if we don't sign him, I will be hurt But if not, mean it won't be a super big loss, we will get someone else.

I heard Spezza and the Sens' first rounder to the Kings for Cammalleri and their first rounder. Interesting.....

It's been reported that Olli Jokinen has requested a trade from the Panthers.

Also, I read that McCabe has waived his no-trade clause to be moved to the Isles. Boy, I hope that happens. Enjoy, TDD!

I disagree. They must at least have a midbrain and cerebellum for basic functions and balance. They probably also have frontal lobes which would account for their unique personalities.

Plus, they would need at least one neuron to pull of some of the sh*t they've done so far.

All that's about 1/3 of a brain each.....

Anyway, it baffles me that McCabe would even want to go to the NYI. I know that he lives there in the off-season and has family there, but still. After so many years losing on the Leafs, why wouldn't he want to go to a team that has a chance in the near future to win the Cup? That just smells of selfish loser to me- if he wants, he could be traded to a contender, but instead he chooses to go to another Leafs-like team?
