i didn't find italy disappointing, they did much better then i expected, actually

on a separate note: we just saw diving rearing its ugly head again with spain, and did senderos just hurt himself while tackling one of his own teammates????

btw spain is looking pretty good

Spain absolute dominant but goal chances ? 1 or 2 ?
also they had quite a bit of individual errors with stopping balls etc.
honestly i expected them to be better

group is wide open. Spain can still win it.
i wouldn't be surprised if they end up with three teams at 6 points and goal differential (or even worse, fifa ranking) as the decider.

Depends what happens with Switzerland vs Chile in the next game. If we assume that Spain will beat Honduras, then going into the 3rd game it will look like this:

If Chile beat Switzerland:
Chile 6
Switzerland 3
Spain 3
Honduras 0
Thus (assuming Switzerland beat Honduras) Spain will need to beat Chile to force a 3-way tie for 1st in which case goal difference will decide which two go though. If Spain do not win they will be out.


If Switzerland beat Chile:
Switzerland 6
Chile 3
Spain 3
Honduras 0
Thus (assuming Switzerland beat Honduras), if Spain beat Chile they'll go through as 2nd in group (and probably play Brazil). If Chile beat Spain they'll go through in 2nd, and a draw will mean goal difference will decide who goes through.


If Switzerland and Chile draw:
Chile 4
Switzerland 4
Spain 3
Honduras 0
Thus (assuming Switzerland beat Honduras), then Spain will need to beat Chile to finish 2nd in the group, else they'll be out.
