My faith in WC refereeing has been restored.
Doesn't really change anything for Australia. We still need a win/draw against Ghana/Serbia like before. Only if Germany and Ghana ends in a draw will we need to win both games because of that stupid goal difference.
So a win against Ghana still required or it's all over for us. Should be a nerve wracking Saturday late night viewing here!

Poor joke. You seriously can't compare the Mexican ref favoring Germany once or twice on a game where Germany should've scored 8 goals with that travesty the Spanish ref just presided over...
yep and he will miss the algeria game*.
that said, not likely this mistake will have any impact on the game
* depending what will be written on the ref notes, i think the US have a good case to avoid the suspension
Ya, this ref has made some silly errors right from the first minute. But none of his errors have influenced the score (yet).
