I can say it right now: both games so far today were ruined by questionable refereeing.
The USA should have won 3-2, and "trigger happy" referees cost Germany the game against Serbia.

first off, i have no particular sympathy for germany (though i appreciate their game), but if they clearly outplayed your guys i don't see how that's my fault.
second, basically you are advocating that because today's ref made a mistake, the ref in the germany-australia game should have also made the wrong calls in order to favor your team.

still with the 2006 call (which was fine, btw)? talk about sore losers...

true .. i knew slovenia was way better than what many people expected but now the group is really open...
if england only draws today it might get ridiclous for the last games

England make anyone they play against look like World beaters. Same every tournament. They dont have the bottle to win. Lucky we not playing against a better team. Like Mexico…

That was very unfair. USA deserved that third goal, they played very well for it.
Heskey is to England what Kuyt is to Holland. Probably a very positive person in the dressing room, works and trains very hard.
But, hey.. come on... not good enough for the "first 11".
IMHO, Crouch should always start for England. I am sure every defender is scared of his height. Crouch is a target for anyone, and that probably can give Rooney some space.
Gerrard and Lampard should learn to play together.

Very very poor. Rooney looked like he couldn't be bothered, Lampard and Johnson below average. Heskey played as well as we'd expect. Gerrard was good, as was Barry. No probs with the keeper.

If the US beat algeria they are through, and they may even go through with a tie, if england doesn't beat slovenia, which at this point is not a given.
obviously with the win today they'd be in the driver seat, but they are in charge of their destiny, which is always a good thing.
