Would rather Bolton had stayed up to be honest, for Muamba's sake...that and i'm not the biggest fan of QPR as a whole.

But Stoke had to go and ruin everything.

I wish City had just battered QPR 8-0. Would have been easier for me to take. :( Either way, they deserved the title — they were the superior squad all season long, and they better have been with that payroll of theirs.

Oh well, I don't know what you neutrals are so pleased about: now that Man City can offer players trophies as well as bottomless cash, they're going to own England, if not Europe, for quite some time. Only hope is for the FFP rules to actually have some teeth, but I'm not holding my breath.

I saw Match of the Day on the BBC last night, what a day for the city of Manchester. Pure drama, and very real emotions.

My hope now is for Bayern München to beat Chelsea CL final.

People said the same about Chelsea though, and it didn't take that long for the wheels to come off at Stamford Bridge

i hate both and wish they both could lose... but that'll never happen.

UP THE OWLS! BUCK THE FLADES! ;) :D

Out there there are lots of people who care nothing about football, and have no interest in it whatsoever.

Please take a moment to think of the poor deluded fools and their empty lives.

Unfortunately that is now the season over and we've got nothing to talk about until August.

Apart from the Scottish Cup Final
And the Champions League Final
And the European Championships
And the Olympic football
And the early stages of UEFA cup
And the constant transfer speculation

Yip, it's going to be a quiet summer.

And new kits! Don't forget the new kits! :)

Wigan actually wore next seasons home kit in the final game of this season:

Nothing official has been said about our new polyester rags yet (unsurprising as we haven't even released season pass renewals yet ), but it's my understanding that we're going with plain amber shirts with black trim just in time for us to clash with Wolves next season.

Our horrid sponsor is still in place, naturally.

At least we'll have a proper reason to wear the 'away' strips next season. :)

True enough. I get the feeling City will be different gravy, as I don't see the ownership there being nearly as "hands-on" / meddling as Abramovich has been at Chelsea. I see them letting Mancini getting on with business and handing him a blank check, especially now that he's proven he can bring home the silverware.

Speaking of Abramovich, it's going to be intriguing to see what Chelsea's next moves are. An awful lot is going to ride on their CL final result, since they won't get back to the CL at all next season if they don't beat Bayern. Would top talent — both new players and a new manager — want to go to Stamford Bridge without the promise of CL football next season?

Don't forget about MLS! :D

Columbus 2-1 Dallas. The Crew finally picked up a win, albeit against a fellow struggler. Crew midfielder Tony Tchani's horrendous marking led to the Dallas goal in the first half. Both Crew goals came from outside the box, in the second half, after Dallas went down to 10 men. the first a 30-yard daisycutter from Justin Meram and the second a solid 20-yard header by Sebastian Miranda from a corner.

We still stink, but we won. Maybe we can build on that.

EDIT: Rumors are slowly beginning to leak that Dalglish will be replaced in the offseason. At this point I think it's all still purely speculation by the media, but I for one am pretty skeptical of Dalglish as a long-term choice. I might be able to give him one more season, but in the meantime I think that FSG should be actively scouting for a new manager.

You guys should go for Roberto Martinez...or Alex McLeish who is now on the job market.

McLeish, my word... The Horror.

It's all purely media speculation at the moment. But I do wonder what FSG are thinking right now...Liverpool fans still seem to be strongly divided on the subject, but it seems to me that majority of supporters are ready to let Dalglish go, or move him upstairs into some other role in the club.

One thing's for certain - going into the 2012-13 season with the same squad we have now would be disastrous. Changes must be made. Possibly in the manager too, but definitely in the squad.

Welcome to the modern era of football where clubs are starting to buy trophies rather than actually winning them. (Real and City) as someone rightly pointed out...

There have been 5 teams crowned champions, 2 WON it, 3 BOUGHT it. In alphabetical order - just so Man U come bottom:-

Arsenal. Bought players for relative peanuts, the funds all coming from club profits. Can't think of anyone they really splashed out on. WON IT.

Blackburn. Jack (i think) Walker was the owner. He poured his personal millions into the club. Built a team (remember Shearer?). They went on to win the title. That same summer, all the big names left, the millions ran out, and Blackburn went ito freefall. BOUGHT IT.

Chelsea. Average team. Then along comes Abramovich who pours his millions into the club. Loads of money buying players from his own pocket. BOUGHT IT.

Man City. Another average club. Then along comes some rich Arabs who buy up the club. The club took transfer spending to an unprecedented level. Not only spending huge amounts on transfer fees, but wages. Can someone tell me why Aguero gets £200 000 a week yet Kompany only gets £80 000 a week? BOUGHT IT.

Man U. Unlike Arsenal, Man U have from time to time spent big money to get a player. But just like Arsenal, that money has come from club profits. The advantage here is that United have the largest ground, thus also the highest income from gate receipts, and thanks to their huge Worldwide fan base, have an enormous income from merchandise sales. That is why they have more to spend than other clubs - without rich owners. WON IT.

Blackburn proved the point - without Walker dipping into his pocket, the club could not continue like that. Chelski and city would also drop back to average without their sugar daddys dipping into their pockets.

United had an operating profit of £111 million last year, City had a total loss of £195 million. All clubs will be required to break-even based on its UEFA license submissions in the 2013-14 season,

So City have some housekeeping to do. There will be no more Toures bought for £23 million on £50 million contracts, unless City can generate the income to pay them. Just 4 of their players are costing them £40 million a year in wages!!!!

Granted they might find loopholes to the UEFA rules

Sadly football just isn't designed for salary caps and entry drafts.... Sometimes I wish it were, sometimes I'm glad it isn't. (would hate the romance of teams like AFC Wimbledon forming 10 years ago and climbing their way up through the leagues. Hopefully we'll see them in the premiership one day rather than MK Dons.)

Carroll almost decided to play more than whinge

Barton continues to be a piece of crap

Chelsea will win!

City. Ugh.

Where is Dempsey going?
