That's 10 in a row for the Bruins. Pouliot with the game winner in the shootout. What a game - probably worth me procrastinating all of my cooking prep for tomorrow.

Going to be an early morning tomorrow, though. :(

Bruins earned that one.

Gaustad did well in his scrap with Lucic, he was able to avoid being punched square in the face.

Man, the Blues got quite lucky; some terrible puck control and passing, yet escape with 2 points, thanks to wonderful play there in the last minute of OT,,, played good to quite good at times, but Penguins are just an awesome team [my 2nd favorite], and Malkin is amazing. Thanks Elliot!

Pietrangelo's OT goal was pretty sweet.

I got home just in time to see the OT goal. I was upset that I had to miss a good game, but I saw the best part.

hey lee.....there's still a chance for you to get signed by an nhl team. Get the foot healed and get back on the ice!:p

minnesota wild signs 51-year-old as emergency goaltender

deutsch participated in the warmup skate before the game, but hackett made it to the rink 8 minutes before gametime, so deutsch didn't end up being the backup.

lmfao...:d

Hey Surely,maybe there's room for a 55 yr old D-Man?;)

Good. I'm sick of hearing the whining from some teams (*cough*flyers*cough*) about the 1-3-1. Don't like it? Then beat them.

Im going to whine a little...I hate the 1-3-1. Its allowed in the game, but it really kills the flow of the game, and its a b!tch way to play hockey. The Lightning used it last night against the Panthers, and it worked out well for the Bolts. Im sure Dineen will be more prepared for it tonight when we play them again. Panthers did end the 4 game home stand with 7 points, so Ill take it. And thank you Rangers for beating the Caps, keeping them 2nd in the division.

All you need is a little speed and a d-man who can make a pass up one of the seams to burn the 1-3-1.

I know I posted this before, but this really is the textbook way to beat the 1-3-1:

Red Wings ended the Bruins win streak yesterday in a shootout. Hell of a game by both teams. I remember last year Detroit swept a home and home with us and we looked completely outmatched. This year they played head to head with them and matched up well. The Bruins easily could have won, they had plenty of chances, but you can't win em all.

Hopefully the boys can start a new winning streak tonight against Winnipeg.

The wings were running around in their end the entire game.

Overall best head to head game this year, regardless of the loss.
The bruins looked very good and when you put in your back up goalie against Detroit the coach is telling everyone he has confidence in him.
tuuka played very well.
Howard played just a little better.

Watching Horton yesterday is making me thing he is not 100%.

Winnipeg is on a tear lets hope the boys can get 2 tonight.

You're killing me. :) The worst thing right now? I ordered new pads last week and they arrived when I got back from my follow-up at the hospital. They're damn beautiful and screaming to be strapped to my legs! I can't wait to get these things dirty with puck marks!

 Wow. Are they ever Gay!!! rotflol

Blues are looking good.....

Yes it was, and via a great heads-up pass too.

Blues got another win last night against a dangerous Calgary team, one that has been our nemesis for way too many years. We got very lucky, thanks to some awesome tending by Elliot [again, thanks!], as Flames had some extremely tasty breakaway chances. The game winner by our Captain - simply done by excellent desire and skill. Great coaching and efforts by the players of late.

Nice pads.....I've always liked that white area that they put on them to try to get the shooter to shoot five-hole.

Dude, the words "dangerous" and "Calgary Flames" do not belong in the same sentence this season.:p That team is a mess.

Leafs are playing in Anaheim tonight. I would've loved to go, but I'm way too busy. The drive alone probably would have taken just as much time as the game itself. At least it's on tv here......

Thanks- and the black makes it tough for shooters to track the puck too.

Secondary to Johnny Bower, and plain, simple pads, not billboards. :p

He won a Stanley Cup at 44, Lee. It's not too late ...... yet. ;)

It's never too late. :) And wait- I'm 44...

Gonna watch the Sens tonight. Hopefully, they take this one.

LOL - didn't say that the Flames had a winning record, or that overall they are that good… just that given players such as Tanguay and Iginla, they've some players that are potentially explosive. And yea, they are for sure a mess - and much of it comes from the star Iginla battling Sutter. Me, hell if I'd ever battle a Sutter! ;)

Right now, I'm just chilling after 9 hour drive, watching some highlights of the Blues victory over Hitch's former team. Damn that Elliot,,, making our team look good with these W's [and some of our play however we don't really deserve such… need to quit giving up these break aways, and also get some better passing going].
