Sorry for the double post but I wanted this to be separate.

I know that many of you think that the Bruins and Boston fans are *******s but take a couple of minutes and watch this video. This week the Bruins honored our troops in a number of different ways including Military Appreciation night on Tuesday.

Unfortunately, the video doesn't truly do justice to the feeling in the building. I know there wasn't a dry eye anywhere near me though. That was Saturday.

For Tuesday night, Johnny Boychuk, Andrew Ference, Nathan Horton, Milan Lucic, and Dennis Seidenberg (and possibly others) each purchased $5,000 in tickets and donated them to military personnel (past and present). It's worth pointing out that none of the listed names are US citizens. It seems like every row had a number of soldiers, etc. in it. It was fantastic. There was also a live feed from Afghanistan where a handful were watching the game at 5am there.

Regarding Miller/Lucic-

I think we can all agree Lucic made no attempt to get out Miller's way and did intend to make contact. Whether he intended to injure Miller is doubtful. That said, I have to agree with what most people said that this does open the door for future incidents of player/goalie interaction. However, if any player is actually considering doing something I have two words

Ron Hextall-

Oh and Brad Richards can kiss my shark fins

The best thing you can do is to stop letting unfairly judgmental/biased fans bother you. I, too, enjoy sports discussions with fans of every team (I even have several good friends who are Yankees fans :) ), but there are some people that think there are "good" and "evil" whole teams and whole cities, which is obviously absurd. Not to be totally arrogant, but a lot of it comes from jealousy and envy with regards to Boston. We've been incredibly lucky as fans, and with winning comes disdain. Once I realized I enjoyed the winning more than having everyone sympathize with me (ie, the pre-2004 Red Sox), I stopped letting it annoy me. Also, because of that winning, a lot of Boston fans have become arrogant ******s. Again, it comes with the territory. But painting entire cities and franchises with one broad stroke is ridiculous, and most rational people realize this.

I'm proud of all my Boston teams for their commitment to charity work, though, and that was indeed a special night.

I've been a to the military appreciation night a couple of times now, and it's definitely one of the best nights on the schedule. And its always super loud.

A win over the Devils (same as last year too) makes it even better ;):D

Hawks smashed the Canucks. Awesome. :)

I looked mediocre in practice tonight. Then I realized that I have played four+ times in five days, and that's certainly not the first time. Maybe I'm tired.

I was told not to go to Saturday practice as a result. "Lee, lay on the couch and heal. You play this often way too much. You're gonna sustain some serious injuries if you don't give it a rest. Come back Sunday for the league game. You should not be playing this much all the time."

I got it. I get a little OCD sometimes. When I sat and thought about it, it kind of freaked me out. I realized that I go out and play hockey at least three nights a week. I need to slow that down. Too much of a good thing can be bad.

Anyone in Philly want an a ticket? I have an extra ticket for the game tonight!! 106 row 26! PM me if you want it!

Any predictions on the Preds/Leafs game tonight? The Preds are coming off a good game against the Caps while the Leafs have lost 4 out of 5 being outscored 23-7. The Preds don't have a great offense but I still think we will put up 3 or 4 goals against the Leafs. I think the Preds win tonight 3-2. Too bad school is tying me down tonight or I would be at the game.

3-1 Preds.

And I'm a Leaf fan.

The Leafs aren't scoring goals, or preventing them. Quite a nasty combo.

Well, the final 4-1. I can't believe Smith missed that empty netter. And McGrattan landed 35 punches in that fight against Rosehill.

So the Blues stopped my Panthers road winning streak. Too bad, because we could have gone into 1st in the Southeast with a win last night. They looked tired last night, and they seem to be a bit banged up. Im sure a nice little homestand will do them good.

My point exactly. What a mess. NYI on Saturday - hopefully they can get up for that game because it gets rougher next week. Habs and Sabres - both on the road.

Just curious to see if the Sabres MAN-UP:D

I don't think they will.

Bettman will more Than likely be at the game as a deterrent.

Some one might throw down with Lucic, might.

They may take a few runs at Thomas but the Bs have some large defensemen they will have to contend with.

Good game - proud of how the Blues are playing under Hitch… and interesting how the teams that are playing against the Blues are all tired, slow, worn out. Blackhawks, Panthers, Red Wings, Lightning… and a SOL to the Maple Leafs… all tired no-good teams. :p ;)

PS: anyone see this  article, http://www.onionsportsnetwork.com/articles/nhls-critics-find-no-evidence-that-penalty-box-ref,26701/ lol at the Blues players. :D

Im just posting what is going on. The Panthers are pretty beat up right now (currently have three players called up from San Antonio), and even with Dineen giving them off the Wednesday before the game, it showed that they were not up for the game. Im not taking anything away from the Blues. In order to beat the Panthers, you need to be aggressive on the PK, and be the more physical of the two, which they did extremely well against the Cats. Halak made some good saves, but the Panthers just didnt give the effort that was seen the last few road games, where they outscored the opposition 19-5.

Does anyone have NESN on Dish Network? If so, do you have tonight's game in HD? I see a standard def feed but not HD.

I know on other providers that it is in HD.

That's cool… granted it is a very small sample, only 5 games, but my main point is that the Blues of late, under Hitch's guidance, have been more aggressive, faster, and smarter than they were before,,, and for the most part so when compared to their oppositions - and the opposition teams are no slouches; I've a lot of respect for them.
