Well guys, nothing is ever a sure thing, especially in hockey. It's been a really exciting season, TBH.
whats worse than losing the jackets? Losing 6-3 to the jackets. Whats worse than losing 6-3 to the jackets? Knowing that Rick Nash may be your teammate in a week
Why is that worse?
That should have been an automatic win for you guys.
Leafs lost. Again. February has been a brutal month for us. On the plus side, we got one point because the game went to OT. We were down 3-2 with around 30 seconds left, and Kessel tied it up. Unfortunately, The Monster had a monster-sized 5-hole tonight![]()
Maybe worse isnt the right word-I guess the better word is anger and irony.
My problem is that we shouldn't have to get embarrassed by Nash and his team in order to obtain him-and he really is not worth what they are asking(reports state they wanted Logan Couture which was shot down before Howson could finish speaking the offer). I don't think we should be entertaining thoughts of trading a Joe Pavelski, prospects and picks for a guy that we really don't know if he wil re-sign and if he does he will want to be paid like Thornton which cannot happen.
Re-sign? No need to worry about that.
He won't become a free agent again until 2018.

I think you're underestimating how good this guy really is.
I'm sitting here preparing for the mental anguish of tonight's game. The Blues haven't lost at home in regulation since the start of 2012. Looking forward to hopefully changing that tonight...

And the Bruins haven't won a game outright since the Patriots lost the super bowl
Maybe Krejci's head will emerge from his ass today and we'll actually see a team that wants to win.
Me too. I am glad the Blues are playing Boston tonight because tomorrow night they play the Preds at home. Hopefully they will be tired and worn out. I hope to see a lot of hitting by the Bruins tonight.
pppffffffffffffttttttttttttttttt man, the Blues could be well rested, have laser guided pucks, all of your D-men sitting on the bench, and we'd still lose to that damn goalie of yours. Nevertheless, as long as they come out tonight and play a full 60 minutes versus the Bruins [who we semi-emulate,,, and who btw are one of my favourite 2nd tier teams], and against the Preds, I'll be "happy", happy being a relevant term of course.

well we didnt deserve that game after that third-funny our goalie all of a sudden decides to steal a game from us against a team that we will not see again this year (literally barring acts of God).
I guess the kings are out of the nash sweepstakes. Deal makes sense-its really geared to get Richards going again. if it works, then this is a steal for the Kings-a top 2 line forward for a above average dman and a pick. However, I still say I don't think Nash will be moved.
Hrumph.
Carter must be stoked to be back with Richards. Those two will tear the club scene up!
I still think there's a slim chance that a Nash deal will happen by the deadline, but the vibe I'm feeling is that it'll happen in the off-season instead.
