Damn! I really thought the Hawks had it tonight. Oh well. It was a damn good, tough game. Congrats to Dallas.
Lee, did you see that Anderson is out indefinitely with a laceration on his hand? He was making dinner and cut himself. Bummer.

The news of Dustin Brown being available really excites me. He is from Ithica...Make it happen Sabres!
Reports are that at least 10 teams are in on this right now, including Boston, Toronto, etc.
If the B's can make it happen for a 1st and Knight/Kokhlachev, I'd be all for it.
From what I'm reading the Bruins have been in talks with Dallas for a Caron, Pouliot, & 3rd for Ryder (or Morrow) & Souray swap.
If they could pull that off and somehow bring in Brown too, I'd think they'd be the favorites. That said, I think it's a long shot.
It also looks like Calgary might be getting ready to blow it up. Does that mean Iginla would be available? Even more of a long shot than Brown, but that guy was born to be a Bruin.
In my eyes the Bruins are the favorites without adding any pieces haha.
Wish I was going to the game tonight. Went to the 6-0 blowoutand would love to see the big bad Bruins get stomped again
Yes. I heard an interview with the director on the FAN590 (via Sirius 157) earlier this week. It sounds pretty good. The cast looks good. From what I understand, the fight scenes are especially brutal, as they wanted to show what fighting in hockey is really like.
Another member, steviem, rented it from iTunes and said it was good.
Yikes Pens are romping on the bolts right now it's great. Malkin just had an amazing goal.
happy deadline day everyone!
hope you all have completely unproductive days glued to your choice of coverage while at work or school
I wonder if there's anything to this tweet by Bob McCown:

Rumour...Nash banners being taken down outside arena in Columbus! Oh my...

******** rumor. The Jeff Carter banner near it was still up.
Nash might still move, but this clown is just trying to get clicks with that rumor.
trades seem to be heating up right now.. 4 in the last 20 minutes or so.
still waiting to see if Chiarelli makes a move for Boston... this next hour will be interesting.
Um, it may be just a rumour, but Bob McCown isn't a clown, and wouldn't post that just to get clicks. Obviously you don't know who he is, but he's hosted Primetime Sports for over 20 years (which is broadcast nationally in Canada), and is highly respected.
45 minutes to go.....I'm sure there will be a flurry of announcements right at or after the deadline. I don't see anything big happening though.
He's posting that "rumor" from this youtube video some idiot posted:
YouTube: video
when it went up a couple of hours ago it was titled "RICK NASH IS DEFINITELY BEING TRADED BANNERS COMING DOWN!!!!". the youtube poster then backtracked. passing off things like that as a credible rumor just makes you look like a hack reporter.
*yawn* this is the worst trade deadline day I can remember....
Marc Cantin and Yanick Riendeau from Boston to NYI for Brian Rolston and Mike Mottau.
Sports center only gave Malkins goal number 8 out of 10 for that day. I hate how much espn hates hockey.
Yeah and I bet #s 5-1 were lebron and derrick rose doing the same dunk over and over again. screw ESPN. they are nothing more than the TMZ of sports at this point. bunch of crap.
So who does everyone think were the winners and losers today?
I'd say Nashville and Buffalo were both winners. Tampa and Boston did well for themselves too.
Biggest loser? Rick Nash.
Vancouver gave up a good, young scorer for an overrated tough guy because Marchand bullied them around last year in the SCF. We'll see how that plays out, but I feel that Buffalo won that trade.
Chicago got Oduya, but a 2nd and a 3rd round pick? Seems like a bit much, but they could come out winners depending on how well Oduya plays for them.
From what I gathered, the Sharks bowed out the nash sweepstakes because Jackets would not do any deal that didnt include Logan Couture. If thats what they wanted from us, I can only imagine what they wanted from the Rangers and everyone else.
Here is my question-Columbus will have the #1 Pick. What will they do with it?
