lol You must be freaking out :p

The thing is, it's entirely realistic for the Pens to come back and win this series.

Why the hell are there so many days between games in the Canucks/Kings series? The last game was on Wednesday, the next game is on Sunday! And it's in Vancouver, so you'd think that if it's a scheduling issue, the Canucks would have called dibs on dates at GM Place. It's not like it's in LA, where they have to work around the Lakers and Clippers at Staples Center.

Me freak out Na;) I've been involved too long in this game to freak out:cool:
GO FLYERS!!!

Well, I think Richards, Gaborik and the rest of the Rangers are dusting off the old putter tonight, cause i think they are going to be on the course on Tuesday morning

Hopefully their putts will have better accuracy.

It's never worked for the Leafs, and they have had WAY more practice.

GO KINGS, GO!!!

So I was too tired after a long day at a conference yesterday, but what about those Senators? And Bruins (though I wouldn't quite count either out)?

Geez. If those two go out, every 'popular' team will be out or odds on them to be out - Detroit, Chicago, Vancouver, San Jose, New York, Boston, Pittsburgh (no offense to the other teams, but not quite in their league of national fan base/TV ratings).

A few blogs have raised the question of whether the NHL has progressed enough to make up for the lack of popular teams in the TV ratings. I think so, or at least much more so than the 2007 Ottawa/Anaheim indifference. Any thoughts on that?

Hooray, Vancouver is officially out! I actually don't have much against Vancouver on most days. I just really wanted LA to win it.

LA vs. STL is going to be a heck of a 2 v 8 match up. Looking toward to some tight games there.

Picks for the remaining games (why not?):

Phoenix (4-2 series)
Ottawa (4-2 series)
Boston (4-3 series)
Florida (4-2 series)

Flyers finally played a solid 60 yesterday:cool:;) Routing for the Sen's to take out the Rangers tonight so we don't have to play them:D:rolleyes: I freak'n love playoff hockey:cool:
GIROUX!!!

I think that would be one of the more appealing possibilities remaining in terms of on/off ice play and story lines, as well as TV ratings for the NHL. I'm leaning toward St. Louis or Nashville coming out of the West though.

Philly has enough prominence on the Atlantic coast to pull in TV viewers, LA is a resurgent West Coast team (and everyone loves a winner, so they'll tune in), and then the rest of us will just watch it because we love hockey.

Worst case scenario for ratings? Probably something like Florida/Phoenix or Florida/Nashville or Ottawa/Phoenix. I still think (as I wrote a few posts ago) that the NHL has grown quite a bit since Ottawa/Anaheim with its national audience to have decent ratings regardless of the match up. It's just that some based on markets will naturally draw a bigger audience.

Now that the Pens/Cry babies are out, they will focus on Giroux in terms of marketing.
I think the the NHL wants the small markets to do well. If the rangers get knocked out, you think a lot of people won't renew their season tickets. Same goes for the Pens, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago etc. Can't be said for Phoenix, Florida and the rest of the smaller markets.

I know my season tickets are already paid for for next year... :shakes head:

One of our Cancer drivers went out of his way to "pop-in" to the driver's lounge today.

An insane Phillies fan, he just had had to show off his Phillies hat/shirt/track-pants (new)/shoes. Thank god he spared us from again viewing his left-shoulder Phillies tat.

My eyes are still bleeding, from all the orange.

This guy should be locked up, with all the other Phillies fans.

Broad-street bullies indeed.

I had an interesting chat with a coworker today. Let's say Ottawa, Washington and Phoenix all win and move on.

We could have a final four comprised of two teams from non traditional hockey markets(LA and Phoenix) and two teams that have never won the cup (Florida, Ottawa and Washington). Further, we could even have a final comprised of two teams that never get snow (LA and Florida).

Whats more insane-we could have an all expansion team final (Nashville Vs Florida/Ottawa)

Would be interesting to see what it does for "the league" but the real hardcore fans prob will stop watching.

Rangers are taking it to game 7. Didnt really agree with the kicked goal at the end, but eh, that's officials for you...

neither did I, i think that was textbook example of a "distinct kicking motion"
I think Neil just needs a soccer ball instead. I would be less upset if it wasn't Neil.

Kick didn't matter, what was an issue was the blatant goaltender interference. Not sure how the refs missed that. He just pushed Lundqvist aside. Yet another obvious blown call in this 2012 playoffs by officials.

Made me wish the chant 'the referee's a w*****r!' was sung over here! I do miss that part of sport in the UK...
