It's quite funny to read about Celtic's title win. Words like "achievement" and "triumph" seem an odd way to describe the most uncompetitive league campaign I've ever seen in my lifetime. The other clubs never had a hope in hell...

Bundesliga is even worse... at least i makes Klopps last year's remark about how in 10 year people will look back at Dortmund's record season... one year later the record is already gone

this year sure seems to be the year of the lopsided leagues in Europe ...

Though, as you say fuzzy, it did take them all the way until the end of april to clinch. Still, that may be at least partially explained by celtic having the luxury of focusing on europe, secure in the knowledge that losing the league was almost impossible regardless of the number of times they rested players for europe. They dropped points as a result, but it merely delayed the inevitable. And it is lame to see them taunting rangers, but that's hardly new in football. Man utd's fans did the same to liverpool two season ago.

Congrats to RVP very much deserved EPL medal. Nevermind that all 3 goals were offside.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go throw up this jaded/sick feeling I have about the EPL (possibly football in general) in general.

Unsurprising if true. He was already mouthing off about his interest in other clubs a week or so ago. Of course he maintained that he was still very happy at Dortmund...which is why he is signing for Bayern ASAP as supporting evidence for the prior-claimed contentment.

Woah, didn't see that coming. Incredible ugly move from Munich to leak such news right now. Just incredible. And that ***** *** Hoeneß is laughing his fat *** off! Man, that ruined the day for me.

Oh, and I can understand all the hate against City, Chelsea, probably Udt and so, but having ONLY ONE team in your league spending cash like there is no tomorrow...that's sooo freakin' annoying!

RvP hat trick was sheer magic, and he also defended too. and better than most Dutch defenders do.:D

He had a quote of "Radio Rijnmond" this is why I went to Manchester United.

It's St George's Day, the day of the rumoured launch of the new Nike England kits... we'll see.

Wolves have also launched their new Puma kits today. Shame they'll probably be wearing them in the third division. :(

It is childish...Shinji one, Gerrard nil, Shinji one, Gerrard nil, Shinji one, Gerrard nil, Shinji one, Gerrard nil. :p :)

Transfer - a Dortmund v Munich final = own goals?

Jaffa Cake,

The sponsor could be worse; Cash Lady with a big picture of Kerry Katona's face on the front.

Cheers,
OW

Gladbach fans very likely felt the same last year when Dortmund used the 17m Reus release clause

Götze said last year that he would very like "working with a coach like Guardiola sometime" so it was very likely a chance for both sides ... and i suspect Sammer played a big role in this deal

meanwhile though Bayern's attacking roster is overcroweded so i suspect that 1-2 players will leave in the summer (Robben ?)

Agree, Robben has to go. And off course weren't Gladbach fans amused, but to announce such a fact one day before one of the most important games since a decade...I mean of course it's business and they don't have to do it the friendly way. But especially Bayern often suggest as if they're the last gentlemen in this game.
And yeah, Bayern got Dante from Gladbach that year, too. It was announced (IIRC) shortly before those two teams played against each other in the cup, Dante missed the penalty back then.
And Götze said a lot during the last weeks, too. Most of it proved wrong.

But I don't care as long as Barca brings them back into reality. Fingers crossed. ;)

It is interesting to note the distinct lack of protests coming from Man Utd supporters these days...the Anti-Glazer crowd is nowhere to be seen. I say this not to take a dig at Man Utd fans so much as to note how far winning things goes towards making people forget about everything else.

More and more it looks like the Glazers have weathered the storm and it's all smooth sailing - until Ferg retires.

They really do flaunt their wealth. The Bundesliga is generally cited as the best-run league in Europe by a mile, and yet they still have one big fat bloated overdog of a team on top.

No official word on our polyester rags for next season yet, other than that they'll be made by Adidas. I've heard though that Cash Converters wish to take up the option of a third year of sponsorship. :(

If another sponsor shows up with a better deal, are Hull City still bound to stick with Cash Converters? Maybe someone else will be lured by the prospect of advertising in the Premier League.

I really hope and pray that they drop Robben, that diving piece of scum. I know were I would like to drop him from 25,000 feet.

I've hated him with a fiery vengeance like a thousand suns, since his first days at Groningen then PSV but he only got worse how bigger the club. First Chelsea and the Real Madrid and now by Bayern Munich.

The deal was two years, plus the option of a third which my sources tell me they've taken. Our shirts will already be in production ahead of the summer, so it looks like we'll be sporting their branding next season.

Bah.

AFAIK they didn't announce the transfer, it was published by "Bild" as a potential story first. After which dortmund came forward and confirmed it...

one of the worst newspapers in the world but their football transfer rumor record is excellent (through very good contacts i suppose)

gonna be an exciting game today ... i'm hoping for an open game without a lot of standing around

on Robben: while i think that he is together with di Maria the best inverted winger on the right, and his (only trick is still working ;)) i think his time at Bayern is running out fast... Ribery on the left is undisputed, which leaves the centre and the right wing to Kroos, Müller,Robben, Shaqiri and Götze
