Feels like I haven't postet for months
looks like in Germany the transfers are heating up:
Schürrle -> Chelsea is said to be final at a 20m euro fee
which got invested quick since it seems they have bought Son from HSV as a replacement for 10m euro (excellent IMHO... but HSV will be seriously weakened)
Champion coach Stöger from Austria Vienna will take over the helm at 1. FC Köln
and it seems that Austria Vienna's top Scorer Philipp Hosiner (27 goals in 30 games) is a target for TSG Hoffenheim
I was really scared, when there were rumors (arround the time of the GER vs USA match) that Podolski would go to Dortmund. As I do not have a good opinion on him (too care free and incontinual). I did not hear anything about that until now. Anyone else?
If someone knows Oka Nikolov (keeper), he will leave Eintracht Frankfurt (after a long period) heading to the US. He is 39 btw.
Italy as expected beat the Netherlands in the u21 semi final.
They were the better team over the full 90 minutes, but it was a lot closer than they expected. The Dutch team played well and showed a very good team spirit.
But I have to say that I really liked the Netherlands' team overall in the matches so far.
The march of progress?
My local team FC Den Bosch today said goodbye to natural grass and started to install plastic pitch. I do know that there are many advantages, but some how it never seems to play like a real pitch.

I still think if cows can't eat it, it's not a real football pitch.
Call me childish, but I was just about making a "natural" grass related joke here
And another dream to be dumbed into oblivion: Gerrard Houllier claims in his technical study for the Fifa that Germany won't be able to practice it's secret weapon to success - powerful pressing that is - at the World Cup 2014.
Did he elaborate why?
@confedcup:
+1 for Pirlo and his beard

as a self-convinced beard wearer, myself
One of the matches I watched was Tahiti-Nigeria. Will be interesting to see Tahiti play against Spain.
I liked Japan-Brazil, liked to see Ex-Dortmund Kagawa again. I have to say that I doubt Brazil is already at the quality of the "golden era", when one was watching to see by what goal difference the other team will loose. I also am thinking about whether climate might be a real disadvantage for the North- and Middle-European teams, for the WC 2014.

I didn't post since the
US vs Germany match. Really interesting, that Costa Rica can loose 2:4 and USA win against Germany. That makes it so nice to watch, that everything can happen. I liked Kruse here, too. I am not so much convinced by Sidney Sam, while he is favoured by the media commentators.

If someone likes to watch a more important/entertaining match in
women's football.
This Wednesday, at 17.45 Berlin time,
Kanada plays against Germany (a friendly).
You can
watch it live under sportschau.de in the livestream-player, then.
This can be considered as a top game to watch. Kanada has well improved under the new coach and Germany is suffering from the Coach rotating to much with younger players or players that never played together before (well OK, replacing some injured, but nevertheless it sometimes looks very risky).
The one of the two last "fitness previews" of Germany before the Women's Euro Cup. (The really last is a friendly against Japan, coming soon).
A few days ago it was Scotland against Germany. The Arsenal Ladies' legionnaires just couldn't make the difference for Scotland. Germany also won with weak goals, 3:0. Which depicts, what the rotation does for Germany (were more and better goals had been possible).
