I would like to get excited about the 5 goals but it's the Europa Cup and therefore totally meaningless. We could have scored 20 goals today and we'll still probably get beaten 2-0 by Utd in the league.
All I'm expecting from the Man Utd game is another "handshake-gate".
Hopefully for once the match will overshadow the handshake nonsense.
There's also the potential for trouble resulting from Hillsborough/Munich-based chants. Both clubs have been speaking this week about the need for respect on such matters, and hopefully supporters will heed this. Hodgson is in a difficult situation, but his support of Terry is not going to be very popular. I think he needs to be a little more even-handed than the public in dealing with Terry, but some of his support sounds too much like cheerleading for my taste. Terry was/is one of England's best central defenders but also one of England's worst human beings. He was also nearing the end of his time as a starter anyway. I think few people are going to be sorry to see him gone from the international scene.

I dunno, but I'd take Carlos Bocanegra over him any day.
He's faster, just as experienced and is also good in the air. Much better looking too. And of course not a liar, bounder, and cad like BJT.
