It can't be good when 10 police cars show up at your house with a search warrant.
Probably, but we should wait for the facts and not pass judgement based on tabloid-quality reporting.

http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story...w-england-patriots-not-ruled-suspect-abc-newsNew England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has not been ruled out as a suspect in the execution-style murder of a semi-pro football player, law enforcement sources told ABC News on Thursday.
Sources told ABC News that the home security system at Hernandez's home, along with his cell phone, were destroyed. Police were at Hernandez's home again Thursday with another search warrant based on evidence that Hernandez "destroyed his home security system," an investigator close to the case told ABC.
The investigator and other law enforcement sources, confirmed that the security system was smashed intentionally. Hernandez's cell phone was handed over to investigators "in pieces" by his attorneys, sources added.
Police also want to know why a team of house cleaners were hired on Monday to scrub Hernandez's mansion, sources told ABC News.
Police say Lloyd was dating the sister of the mother of Hernandez's daughter. Meanwhile, a lawsuit has been refiled in Florida against Hernandez by a man the tight end allegedly shot in South Florida in February. The lawsuit contends Alexander S. Bradley was shot in the arm but the bullet traveled to his head, causing him to lose his right eye.
I think it's safe to say the circus has taken up residence in Foxboro. We got Tebow, Hernandez, Putin and the SB ring, Kraft hanging with Jay-Z.![]()
An arrest warrant has been issued for Hernandez.

BREAKING: Law enforcement source: No arrest warrant for Aaron Hernandez or anyone else in Lloyd investigation
Somewhere, CNN is smirking.
In response to multiple reports that an arrest warrant has been issued for Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, the Boston Globe reports that no arrest warrant has been issued for Hernandez or anyone else in connection with the death of Odin Lloyd.
Since all reports cite unnamed law-enforcement officials, this is as good a spot as any to reiterate the concerns arising from reports based generally on one or more sources in law enforcement.
First, without knowing who the person is, theres no way to know whether the person is in position to know anything. Law enforcement is a very broad term encompassing many people from various departments, local, state, and federal.
Second, and perhaps more importantly, there could be a strategic objective to publish misinformation in order to prompt a reaction from those who are being investigated. If, for example, Hernandez and others sense that the noose is tightening, will they behave in a way that indicates guilt?
So while theres no reason to think that the reports arent technically accurate (i.e., that law-enforcement officials are separately saying things that dont mesh), the conflict demonstrates that different law-enforcement officials know different things and that they may have different reasons for spreading information that may not be accurate.
The problem for the media outlets becomes separating the cream from the crap, especially if law enforcement has decided that circulating incorrect information could prompt the kind of reaction that will help achieve the far more important goal of bringing Lloyds killer(s) to justice. In those situations, the sources are likely to be very persuasive and persistent, which could make them in turn seem even more credible.
May not have been issued yet, but it is coming!!!

Update, it seems one has been issued for obstruction..... good lord.
Every bit of news that leaks on the Aaron Hernandez investigation is more damning than the last. I was hoping for a misunderstanding, but it's starting to look like he's a very, very dumb criminal. Still clinging to tiny hope that I'm wrong, but things are looking very bad for him. Being involved in a murder makes you a horrible, disgusting human being in any scenario.
23 years old, extremely talented with a bright future and a young child, and he threw it all away.
Anythingother than this should be taken with a grain of salt. The media is in the business of generating clicks and revenue, not reporting accurate information.
zioxide said:If the official report comes out and Hernandez was involved, good ****in riddance. I'll look forward to the Pats voiding his contract based on the morals clause, and suing him to recover the bonus money he's been paid since he signed that extension (maybe they can put some of that in a fund for his baby daughter since he sure as hell won't be able to support her from behind bars). You have everything handed to you in life on a silver platter because you can run fast and catch a ball, and you throw it all away being a piece of **** thug? **** him.
Unlike you, though, I don't think the Patriots should save a dime for his daughter. Why should they? Not their responsibility whatsoever. Cold, but that's how I feel. After paying back his bonus, the rest of whatever he has left should go to his legal feels and his kid. The Patriots should donate money to struggling families who aren't criminals. Can you imagine getting arrested for a murder investigation and your job creating a trust for your child? Hell no. I'm sick of idiot athletes getting special privileges.
He should have put his child first, it's no one else's responsibility but his and the child's mother's. Period. Just because he's an athlete doesn't mean he (or his kid) should get special breaks - more than he already will in terms of punishment. Because you know he won't be facing the same punishment you or I or any other person would.
Agreed. The Patriots are under no obligation to provide anything for Hernandez's child.
They should have had A-Rod tweet it out.
What happened to innocent and wait for all the facts?Okay, NOW we can burn the Hernandez jerseys. Good riddance.
What happened to innocent and wait for all the facts?
Still waiting for any concrete information from the police/DA, an arrest, or charges being filed.
Shut the front door. The Patriots have released Aaron Hernandez.

Wow. Mike Reiss had mentioned this as a possibility but I honestly thought it was a long shot.
Couple of things here. First and foremost - it goes without saying that the bigger issue here of a murder investigation is a horrible situation. A man lost his life and the ripple effects from that are devastating for many. It honestly feels weird to be writing about this in terms of Fantasy Football. But I also fully understand my role in our relationship and you've subscribed to this email list for Fantasy Football information. So while acknowledging the seriousness of the issue, I'll give some thoughts on Hernandez from a Football perspective which in the big picture, is relatively meaningless.
With that said, this move is hugely telling. Let's look at what we know and what we think we know.
The Patriots are not a team fearful of "distraction". They're not afraid of giving guys "second chances" and rolling the dice on players. In past seasons they've brought in Corey Dillon, Randy Moss and Albert Haynesworth. They just added Tim Tebow. If any team and coach in the league could handle a problem like this as the player worked through the process, it's New England and Bill Belichick.
The Patriots are a team that is on top of things. Maybe more than any team in the league, the Patriots are controlled and managed. And for people in charge of well controlled and well managed organizations, information is King. I'd be very surprised if they don't have a good idea of what Hernandez is facing. In other words, I would expect them to know things we don't know about this. They very well may know more than the police right this second.
The Patriots are a team with a need at tight end. Rob Gronkowski's availability is far from certain. And even with a healthy Gronkowski, Hernandez is a big part of this team. With an ailing Gronkowski, even more so. They've lost Wes Welker. This team needs Aaron Hernandez in a big way.
Given all those reasons to hang on to Hernandez, they chose to release him today based on what they know.
What this tells me is that this is a radically different situation than something like Ray Lewis faced years ago.
This tells me that Aaron Hernandez has zero value in a redraft league today.
And this tells me he has little value for 2014 and beyond. I'd agree with my friend Sigmund Bloom who said today, Hernandez is "5 to 10 cents on the dollar today in dynasty leagues where he was 25 cents on the dollar yesterday".
Bottom line is this has gone from looking bad to terrible for Hernandez very quickly. And again, I apologize for talking so flippantly about a Fantasy Football perspective as it relates to such a serious real life issue.
Interesting speculation from a fantasy football site that I subscribe to...
