Won’t be watching any of the bowl games other than the UCF/Auburn game.
I have no interest in watching such a rigged “playoff.”
The majority of these bowl games suck anyway and are not worth watching. And why celebrate at the end of winning a pointless bowl? It's not like wining the national championship. It’s a rigged system, plain and simple. And I won’t support it by watching any of the games.

The the NFL seems to do it with the Patriots.Agreed. Way too many games. I won’t be watching any of the “playoff” games either. Won’t support the mafia-like “playoff committee” who chooses who is in the playoffs. No other sport would ever tolerate something like this.
The playoff system is near perfect.
The “playoff system” is anything but near perfect.
I don’t understand how somebody could think this.
You really believe this? Sounds like you have some issues.
Believe that the current college football playoff is near perfect? Yes it is. It’s fantastic and you couldn’t ask for better without ruining the game.
Im not sure very many people would agree with you.
8 team playoff, use the major bowls as the playoff system, it would give more weight to the useless bowls now and still allow them to be played. spread it out over 2 weekends with the final being played on New Years day.Even if that’s the case they are wrong.

40 bowl games doesn't ruin the college season as it is now?You do that and you’ll ruin the regular season - teams that lose 2 or 3 games competing for a national championship? No thanks.
As it currently stands you need to lose at most 1 game to be considered for the playoff. Do you really want the regular season to turn into the garbage NFL season? There’s no need for an 8 team playoff and it’s boring. No drama - no intrigue - no need to win all your games.

The SEC is a joke, you have 2 good teams, how is that a fair assessment of how good a team is? a 12 game regular season is not enough when most of the schools suck. You need a playoff system not run by rankings. That is what makes college sports a joke.
You do that and you’ll ruin the regular season
Why should 6 or 7 win teams get a bowl game? That's giving a prize to mediocrity. The Big Dance is 68 teams each with a shot at a national championship. College football is 4 teams with a shot. With realistically 6 teams that a worthy. And don't say college football cares about fewer games. They only care about making money. They would play 100 useless bowl games if they could. Why stop at 8? Georgia and Alabama are legit. Alabama is Alabama. How many national championships have they won recently? Georgia won the SEC and played a legit schedule. I would have preferred to see my Buckeyes in again but it is what it is.
40 bowl games are fine. They’re just games that teams get to play after the season. No different than the NIT or whatever for teams not making the Big Dance. If you don’t like the games don’t watch them. Should those teams not get to play another game since they aren’t in the playoff? Stupid.
If you want to remove the human element and discretion go buy an Xbox and simulate college football games and drink beer by yourself - don’t ruin the magic that is college football for the rest of us.
[doublepost=1514840871][/doublepost]Also I feel bad for Auburn - no win situation. You either beat a bad team and nobody cares or you lose and you look like a fool.
The regular season is already ruined.
1. A 12-0 team is excluded.
2. The Big10 winner is excluded.
3. A team that didn’t win its division or conference is included.
Please explain how the regular season is relevant and how it hasn’t been rendered completely meaningless.
