Yep, I think its a good move, though I wonder who FSU will target. That link mentions Sumlin, and that would be ironic, but I doubt that will happen.
Tuesday? They will announce the playoffs just before 12:30 Sunday afternoon.Tuesday is going to be interesting! For Alabama, the teams that needed to win to give Alabama any chance did but Ohio State also took care of business beating Wisconsin, so who does the Committee pick?
I don't see Ohio State clawing their way back into the playoffs. Anything is possible but the odds of them doing it seem infinitesimal to me.
Hehehehe
[doublepost=1512302260][/doublepost]I’ll also say this: I don’t want to see any talk about expanding the playoff. If you want some silly 7-5 PAC-12 team playing some AAC team just watch a bowl game. It’s dangerous to keep adding games above and beyond what we have now. The debate/argument/controversy is good for the sport and diluting the playoff is not. The BCS made us pick 2/3 between Georgia/Oklahoma/Clemson. The playoff gives us those theee plus one other great team that could win it all. Expanding the playoff doesn’t add value.

The college playoff system as it stands now is absurd.
What other sport limits the playoff to only 4 teams?
What other sport limits the playoff to only certain conferences? That is like saying in MLB that only teams from the AL can make the playoffs.
What other sport would exclude an undefeated team from the playoff?
It's easily the best playoff system.
Even if Ohio State doesn't get in I still think it's the best system. Nothing comes close.
It is a rigged system that eliminates the majority of teams based on what conference that are in as opposed to what they do on the field.
That the only undefeated team and the #1 scoring offense in the FBS won’t make the playoff is a travesty.
I think it has to be OSU. You have to reward conference champions and not faltering late in seasonTuesday is going to be interesting! For Alabama, the teams that needed to win to give Alabama any chance did but Ohio State also took care of business beating Wisconsin, so who does the Committee pick?
The committee doesn’t care about conference championships. They would have put Alabama in with 10 loses because they all have a thing for Saban.I think it has to be OSU. You have to reward conference champions and not faltering late in season

Seriously I think Ohio deserves to go in over Alabama.
WOW.
Alabama made the CFP. I guess in the eyes of the committee, 2-loss conference champion is not better than a one-loss team with no conference title.
This playoff system was supposed to end the biased computer ranking system and even the field. It’s still a corrupt system and they only care about making sure Alabama gets in every year.Wow, the committee delivered a steaming bag a crap this year.
A non-division winning; non-conference winning Alabama gets in.
The Big10 gets a big FU. Their conference is is shut out.
The only unbeaten team who also happens to have the #1 scoring offense is also shunned.
What a travesty and a joke. In no other sport would this sham of a playoff be tolerated. I won’t be watching any bowl game other than the one UCF plays in.

Was Alabama the best team the last 3 weeks of the season? Who was playing better them or Ohio.Win Alabama stops winning national championships and destroying teams then they can stop giving the Tide the benefit of the doubt.
You could make the same argument about Clemson or Ohio State. Clemson is in for the third straight time too.
They committee is doing a fine job and I'm an Ohio State fan. Winning a conference championship is a data point, not "criteria". The committee picks the best 4 teams. You could make an argument for Ohio State vs Alabama but they ultimately have to pick one or the other.

So why not give the last undefeated team a spot. If winning games is the only thing the committee looks at. FSU should be number 1.Last 3 weeks are just one of the criteria. Stop trying to apply some sort of consistent metric. That's why people get frustrated. They think that if you check these boxes (win conference championship, only have one loss, be in the top x in offense defense) that this means you're in. It doesn't. They're data points.
