1. Quicksilver
2. iTunes
3. Adium
4. iSync

All 4 are the most useful applications and the most missed that I use on a daily basis.

Apple apps:

1. Safari
2. iTunes
3. Final Cut Express
4. Dictionary (It's wonderful! Just give us a British English option, please!)

3rd Party:
1. iStopmotion
2. Adium
3. Adobe CS3
4. Audio Hijack Pro

1. Quicksilver (I even get lost if QS is there but the plug-ins aren't)
2. Pages (There are alternatives but nothing comes close to suiting my needs)
3. Adium (as with Pages)
4. Skitch (no alternatives for school diagrams)

There are plenty more, slightly less important ones, but I don't go over limits, I'm a safe kinda guy when it comes to lists on forums ;)

My top 4 apps so far have to be:

1.iTunes (I cannot live without music....I mean it)
2.Mail (I use this more than ever now, if I could afford an iPhone, it would be the icing on the cake in terms of email on the go)
3.Safari (without this, I wouldn't be able to discuss with fellow mac users like yourselves)

and the last has to be

1 Password (although I only purchased about a month ago, it has made me think about securing my info on my mac, which I once thought wasn't that important)

P.S I have to give a little shout out to Little Snitch (kept me from getting into a lot of trouble):D

In Order of importance:

1. Logic Pro 8 (my whole musical existence revolves around this program)
2. Mail
3. iTunes
4. Safari

others that are of importance: iCal, Mercury, Azureus, Pro Tools, Reason.

No one has mentioned - QUICKTIME!

It is probably the most important app on the Mac. It is joined at the hip to Final Cut studio, itunes, safari, CS3...

My list:

Safari
Final Cut Studio (particularly Motion)
Maya
iTunes

and Quicktime of course.

Anyone mentioned MS Word yet? lol

1. Nemo - Newsreader app, since Mail doesn't do that.... unlike Thunderbird
2. Transmit
3. iTunes
4. XCode

4 Best 3rd-Party Apps

1Password

NoteBook

Yep

Handbrake

EDIT: I get to add TextExpander because it's not technically an app, it's a preference pane. LOL

Apple Apps
1. Safari
2. iTunes
3. iChat
4. Aperture

Third Party
1. Microsoft Word
2. Azureus
3. Handbrake
4. StuffIt Expander

Preference Pane?
1. Connect360
2. Teleport
3. Flip4Mac

I never managed to figure out how Quicksilver works. Oh well, guess it's my loss.

My four are:

1. Logic Express 8
2. Opera
3. Finale 2007
4. iTunes

Also Messenger for Mac, but that's kind of a background thing for when I need to contact people..you know...

It's kind of funny, I have like 100 apps on my computer, but only use like four.

Edit: OH! I also use InsomniaX and Caffeine :) I <3 them.

Screw dat. I'm going for Top Ten!

1) Safari
2) iTunes
3) Mail
4) HandBrake
5) iPhoto
6) Photoshop
7) Quark Xpress
8) StuffIt Expander
9) Address Book
10) iCal

iSync gets honorable mention with 9 and 10 for not effin' me up every time I need to put new stuff on my phone
