My favorite app by far is Aperture, after that, Safari, NetNewsWire, and iTunes, honorable mention to Quicksilver.

I'll play too.

1. Safari
2. iCal

4. Mail

Third Party:

1. Quicksilver
2. Coversutra
3. VLC

4 Best Apps

1. Quicksilver - constantly used
2. NewsNetWire - basis of daily web surfing
3. Yojimbo - but being supplanted by Evernote more and more
4. Yep - terrific organizer for pdf's

1) Safari- NEED INTERNET (I'll go nuts without it!!!!)

3) Mail- Need to stay in contact (although I sometimes wish that people would leave me the hell alone!)

4) (tie with iChat) Transmission- No comment;)!

Day-to-day:
  1. Firefox
  2. NetNewsWire
  3. Thunderbird
  4. Terminal (does that count?)

Business:
  1. MacVim
  2. Transmit
  3. On The Job
  4. Custom-compiled MAMP stack

Oh, Photoshop and Illustrator as well. But that's sort of a given.

As for QuickSilver...I don't see what the big deal is. I just use it because it's quicker than Spotlight as an app launcher. I use DockSend for Transmit (or even NcFTP) to FTP stuff, and the terminal (Zsh) for any complicated file operations.

No, really. The battery menu is so undescriptive. I need to know MORE.

Man, whoever posted that Sapians link, thank you! That thing is totally neat. Not sure how much I'll end up using it, but still, cool. :)
