A few weeks ago in anticipation of this preorder, I updated my settings in the store; I recently got a new credit card so I made sure my default payment method was correct along with billing and shipping addresses.

I got my order in via the app at 3:02 eastern, but I did it so quickly that I didn't realize the billing and shipping addresses defaulted to addresses that I'm pretty sure I deleted from my account a long time ago.

When I go into the account settings now either via the app or website, the correct default information is showing and I can't find any of the old contact information. Of course the check/edit order status isn't working so I can't fix it.

Anyone have anything like this happen?

just call apple tomorrow to confirm your order. if anything is incorrect they can update it for you. the important thing is that you got you pre-order in. things can still be changed between now and the ship date. i know because i've had to do that before.

Yup, I just bought a band with the gift card. Ordered the watxh with apple pay was done with mine by 12:01. Girlfriend wanted one at 11:40 so got hers by 12:05
Did you use the gift card through the app? I couldn't find that option Essen I was ordering

The app wouldn't let me add a second card and the debit I have on file doesn't have quite enough money for my watch. But I chatted with Apple and they said I won't get charged till it ships so I have time to move money around

Are we pretty sure they will honor multiple orders? Ended up ordering BF's because my app was loading faster. We're worrying about it now, because it seems like it'll keep letting me order more. Will my initial two orders definitely stand? Haven't done more than one item at launch before.

Thanks for the input. I figured I'd be able to update things tomorrow either when the store was fully operational or via phone. I'm surprised the card didn't get declined for the mismatched billing address, but I see I was already charged for the apple care.

I'm just really surprised this old contact info is still on file "behind the scenes" in a database somewhere and was able to be autofilled. I can't find the contact info saved anywhere in my account.

Apple Store app was still showing the store was down 3 minutes after 12:01am. I even force-quit the app several times. Finally, it came up. I entered all my information yesterday, but the app still wanted me to enter them!

When I put my order in the cart, it showed 4/24 to 5/8. After I entered my shipping again(!) I got 4-6 weeks delivery!

It's deja vu all over again from the iPhone 6 pre-order fiasco. I'm really disappointed that Apple never learns from those mistakes. :(

Bah. Wanted the pink 38 but didn't want to wait. So scored a white for me and a blue for my partner, both delivering 4/24-5/8. Then separately ordered the pink band for delivery some time in May. So they got extra money from me but I got an extra band to swap out. Store was way slow, app much faster, but who knew? Wasted time on the store ...

Nope did that for the band separate when their store went live. I already knew you can't use gift cards in the Apple Store app for some reason.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Apple has no idea as to what the demand would be for what is an unprecedented spectrum of different models for them.

Your watch hasn't been built yet, and the dates are estimates and will change. Good chance that there will be a quickie software update before we get our watches that will solve some of the current issues detailed in some of the reviews.

I wonder if the watch app store will go online soon?

I wonder whats the deal with the 4/24 to 5/8 shipping date range. I ordered within the first 5 minutes.

Seriously? Why are people asking this. It's not released until the 24th so it won't come any sooner than that no matter how fast you ordered it.

Sorry to repeat, but I'm hoping to hear opinions. I know people other than me ordered multiples for loved ones etc. What I was surprised to see was that it would let me order a third (which I will cancel). Have they ever cancelled orders over a certain qty before?

I understand that but why the date range of 4/24 - 5/8. Any iPhone preorders have always had for delivery on launch day.

In the past iPhones have had a range at least when I ordered it. Depending where you live matters to whether you get it the first or second week.

I think it's the fact that a range is being quoted rather than the one date (24th). That's what's upsetting people cause they now don't know whether they are getting it on 24th or 5th or somewhere in between.

GrumpyDad got up and got his sister the 38mm Pink Sport, got me 38mm SS with black sport band and found himself too late to get the Space Gray Sport so he got his original choice of SS 42mm Classic Buckle. All have the 4/24-5/8 delivery window.

I couldn't make up my mind until the last possible second between the SS model I ordered or the 38 mm Blue Sport. I'm so freaking tired, hyped on adrenaline and loopy I just decided to follow my original choice I made with Bunnicula and later again affirmed by my 10 year old daughter.

Same thing happened to me, I feel your pain. Having to use an apple gift card and not being able to use the app is an absolute joke and just cost us a possible extra month of wait time.

you know you could have ordered using your debit card and called apple tomorrow to change payment to the gift card. apple doesn't even charge your debit card until the item ships. they might put a small confirmation hold on your account but they weren't going to charge you account the full amount until watch ship.

Whats strange is that the SS with the classic buckle is still available for a 4/24-5/8 date but if you choose the SS with the black sports band its 4-6 weeks. I never would have thought the band is what would be holding up delivery.
