The Apple Watch order thread... FINALLY!

Well, going to try to go back to sleep I guess.

2x brushed aluminum 38mm white sport (1 will be cancelled)
1x space gray 42 mm black sport

Both 4/24-5/8

you know you could have ordered using your debit card and called apple tomorrow to change payment to the gift card. apple doesn't even charge your debit card until the item ships. they might put a small confirmation hold on your account but they weren't going to charge you account the full amount until watch ship.

It's a lesson to be learned - - don't mess around with complicated payment options on pre-order day of a brand new Apple device category! :)

yeah i think if you got a date of 4/24-5/8 that there's a 99% chance you're going to get it on 4/24 but that apple went with a wide range to cover their ass for anyone who might get it a day late because UPS/FedEx delay. this ensures people don't call in freaking out on 4/24 but i'm sure people will still call on 4/24 wondering wtf is going on.

Did anyone get a delivery date of the 24th or only the date range of the 24th to the 8th. On the iPhone it wasn't a range until that date was complete.

true that! i've been doing this since the first iphone. i've become a bit of a pro. i actually signed into the ios apple store app this morning to make sure all my info was accurate and discovered that i had not yet entered my recently reissued debit card. i saved myself time by pre-entering it this morning. tribal knowledge!
 
SS Apple Watch with Leather Buckle ordered at 3:03AM got 4/24-5/8 shipping window, hoping for the 24th, I will also be picking up a sport band in store on the 24th, online store says 2-4 week shipping.

What I want to know is where apple got my email address from 13 years ago that I never recall using and def wouldn't have used with them! It was an email address for when I taught high school that took me a minute to even remember. There wasn't even an iTunes back then and I didn't buy my first Apple product until around 2006 or 2007. Gift card debacle was bad enough but what the hell are they doing with that kind of old info?

I had the same issue. my info was autofilled with incorrect shipping/billing addresses and a phone number that I took off my account in 2012. Going to call tomorrow and get it fixed.
 
Was going to go for the Modern Buckle in black, but after uncertainty over size (my wrist measured at 175mm, which seems oddly large for a woman's wrist and I'm a small person, so I am not sure that a Large would fit correctly) and after seeing real-world photos of the infinitely-adjustable Milanese Loop, I went for that instead. And it costs less, so that's a bonus.

At some point I will try on the Modern Buckle to figure out which size I should order when I purchase that band separately.

42mm 18-Carat Rose Gold Case with White Sport Band is now showing as July delivery. Really?
 
Hope my SS w. Black Sport band delivery estimate improves over the days. Some people have maybe preordered 4 different models to try on, and then canceling the other. So when people are trying the watches, shipping estimates will probably change.

Haha fair enough. So I checked the store now and delivery times of the sg alum is June and 4-6 weeks for ss. Wow this watch is a hit for apple. Congrats Timmy
 
Email confirmation at 2:07 and yet my 42mm space gray sport has 4 to 6 week shipping time (delivers: May 13 - May 27).

I'm wondering if the date was pushed back within minutes because SO MANY people ordered EXTRA watches to cancel the one they don't want later. Would tend to frustrate someone, right? Especially if, after all the cancellations, my ship date doesn't get moved to an earlier date.
 
I just thought of something. Delivery by 4/24-5/8 is better than shipping in 4-6 weeks.

Who ordered a watch (and which one)?

With all the complaints about shipping times and delays, let's see how many people here bought each watch and try to estimate how many were actually produced.
 
Your'e probably best off making a poll if you want to know that. For the record I preordered the 42mm Stainless Steel with sport band.
