Battery life is indeed impressive. I still had 12% remaining. Brightness kept at around 70% as I like the screen to be brighter. This was 24 hours and 2 minutes after last charge to 100%. I’m finding that I don’t even need to charge everyday.

ETA: this is with 5G on auto and connected to wi-fi network when at home.

Battery life on my max is by far the best I’ve had on an iPhone but it’s nowhere near as good as some people on here. I set up as new and have hardly installed many apps so I’m not sure why.
I’d be interested to know, when I walk the dog in the morning for about 75mins my battery drops about 3% (from 100). On this walk my phone stays in my pocket and I don’t use it at all so no screen on time. Maybe just a couple of notifications. Given the iPhone tends to go down slowest from 100%, a 3% drop seems far too much. I do have it tracking my steps but I’m interested to know if this is typical? I expect those with great battery life would not get this much loss over this time?

I switched from 12 PM to 13 P. I always got the big iPhone because of the way better battery. This year is finally the time to get with the small pro the same battery than on last year max. I miss the insane battery life on the 13PM but the 13 P is better than my 12 PM. Probably would get around 9-12h SOT with just wifi mixed usage + youtube.

I gave the 12 PM to my Girlfriend and now its wayyyyy to big for me. Idk how I liked that so long.

Only downside: on the go with LTE the battery is not as good as on wifi. Probably 5-6h SOT with Instagram, Facebook, Reddit and spotify

I don't really go by screen on time but I did get 3 days use out of a single charge and it was still on 30% but I was going out so needed to charge it

Very similar result
Battery left 54%
Same usage - but no 5g

I'll say this, back in the day, I used to always make fun of iPhones for having bad battery life, but Apple has really turned things around since the XR! I'm glad your 13 pro max does so well on battery!

I got 9:36 SOT (and 1:20 Off) 2 weeks ago and I was impressed until I got this result this weekend. Maybe this was an anomaly but on the other hand, maybe it’s getting better as it learns my usage habits.

I'm finding it amazing on my 13 Pro. I also find it charges very quickly even if using the old charging block that came with probably iPhone 8.

2nd day using the 13 PM. Here's the result so far. Off the charger since 9:50am, so about 13 hours later at 50% battery life I've gotten 5 and half hours of screen on time. Really impressed so far coming from a 12 pro and 13 pro (which was exchanged for the Max).

I've noticed that alot of folks posting their SOT are posting the time the app shows, which in some cases is incorrect! For example, my screenshot shows SOT of 7:38, but that includes the time from before i took it off the charger. You need to subtract the off the charger SOT total from the time it shows in order to get the correct SOT.

Totally agree. When you can watch YouTube and have other social media apps open for two hours and consume 5-6% of the battery, that's amazing especially if you are waiting on your spouse has left you waiting while running errands.
I find that videos don't drain the battery. It is due to the ProMotion display where it will drop the frame rate down to 24 Hz and saves a lot of battery life. I was getting something like 20 Hrs battery life streaming videos over WiFi. Pretty amazing.

10–12 on average
Yesterday streamed a 2 hour movie brightness indoors 35% outdoors 70 percent watched a hour of TV got 11 hours 10 minutes. 5G turned off no difference than LTE
Great battery life

Is this normal? 47% left and been using wifi pretty much all day. Dark mode, auto brightness and limited background refresh. Updated to 15.1 yesterday (ignore that day) so maybe it just needs to settle. Gets a little hot when surfing safari but not at all any other time. No games.

Maybe after having tbe phone longer will help. Charge via belkin 2 in 1 overnight. Any tips I might be missing?

Are you using an ad blocker in Safari? Maybe try one or a different one. I use Ad Block Pro, no issues with my 13 Pro Max even getting warm when browsing in Safari.

No ad blocker but will look into it. Use my phone case-less but like I said only safari it gets a little hot right below the cameras

Edit: installed it to see what happens and so far my phone is not getting hot surfing safari. So odd and thanks. Will keep testing.

I ended up returning the 13 Pro Max due to the weird font scaling issues, but the battery life was darn impressive. I went for a hike all day and it only used ~5% even with taking a bunch of pictures and going in and out of weak service.

What's impressive here is not the SOT, which is a basically useless measure, but standby. This thing is just incredibly efficient in standby, where Android phones usually drain about 1%/hour on standby, the 13 Pro Max seems not to drain any noticeable amount at all, meaning that even with x% more SOT, which is again a basically useless measure, it will last FAR longer in real life because real life use is mostly standby with little bits of use here and there.

What scaling issue is that? I have not seen anything like that.

Here’s mine. Down to 47%. Almost 10 hours in. Been streaming YouTube, movies, Apple Watch connected all day and more! Not bad for the regular 13. I am a very high user. Games like call of duty and pubg usually. I watch YouTube and stream music all day while at work as well on 5G. I love the battery and can only imagine what it’s like on the pro. Oh, no battery saving settings either. Locations to everything on, background stuff on and more. I didn’t change anything to save on battery.

Last charge 3:17 pm and it’s now 1am. 47% remaining.
