Looking at the other forums, this looks to be the best picture of the "New iPods/ iPod Nanos. It is far from what we want, but it looks the most like the picture taken down by Apple Legal. In my opinion.

I think that's a great mockup (DmitriF's posted image) of what a flash-based 5.5G succesor could look like. I like the new iMac look to it, it would be a fine rev. of the 5.5G IMO. Hopefully it also has a hard glass screen (and probably a black Apple logo on the back as well.)

Now to the iPod Touch... 😉

OTOH, you know you'd be disappointed if you watched the media event already knowing 100% what was going to be introduced, right down to what the '1 more thing' is.

I was most surprised to see that he does actually step outside every now and again.

Do people seriously believe this blithering fanboy has "contacts"? I'm hoping for a huge dosage of Awesome with this new iPod as much as anyone else, but I almost hope find myself hoping it's mediocre just to prove Mr Know-it-all (or rather, Mr Pretend-to-know-it-all) wrong!

We'll know by Wednesday. Personally I'm still thinking it'll either be disappointing but at a decent price, or everything people have been wishing for but more expensive than any iPod has been before. I'm sortof leaning towards the latter, with the existing iPod range being downsized to the "fatpod". Yes it's ugly at the moment, but tastes change and people will get used to it (I'm thinking of the first flat-panel iMac here... everyone complained it looked like a screen on a stick shoved into a boob. But it was successful)

It does lean towards the latter. It's a similar situation to the original iPod Photo.

I just revealed that there will be expensive high end models that have everything people have been wanting... what more do you want? I can't talk screen size/hard drive size/software/dimensions until Wednesday.

Different models will be different prices. The more expensive, the better the model. The pricing of the whole new line up will resemble the pricing of Apple's lineup when the iPod Photo first came out.

Because the thread was there, and the rumor had already been published over a year ago. Am I not allowed to say something like that in a thread directly related to the screen size of the iPod?
