I agree with you there, and that's the stance I've taken for most/all of the thread, especially one of optimism.

However the way you worded that reminded me of the iPhone and how lots of people were saying it'd be silly for Apple to release it without 3G. Cough cough lol. So now it's got me wondering!

I've never seen Apple go backwards within a product they've already achieved something with though, except maybe with the graphics card in the iBook/Mini but that doesn't count :p I really can't see them *reducing* the available storage sizes in the product line. It would be kind of like... Microsoft discontinuing Vista and downgrading everyone back to XP, or Jeremy Clarkson going green and trading in his supercars for a bicycle.

:D Got to love it, all this energy being put into predicting something that we'll find out within just a couple of days anyway! It'd be far more efficient just to wait. No fun that though :)

i hope it has wi-fi and safari, if it has wi-fi and no internet then i would be happier if they didnt include wi-fi
 
im personally hoping for three models. for example: a huge hd and wifi, medium hd with wifi and medium hd w/o wifi. i want wifi but im not going to break the bank to get it

Can't see them copying the Zune. Apple stopped copying Microsoft decades ago, it's been the other way 'round ever since :D

Okay... I still don't really know what to believe. One thing's for sure, I've worked out how Apple generates so much hype (by keeping big secrets and generating massive internet speculation). If they pull off the classic "yes son I got you everything you wanted, Merry Christmas" then it's going to be HUGE. No wonder they protect their secrets so fiercely.
 
oh man, if they do that Zune bulls**t i will be so pissed. After using Safari on the iPhone, i fell in love. I can browse the "internet" on my LG enV but it is nowhere near as cool as the iPhone's "true" internet. AHHHH!!! I cant wait!!!

If there is going to be wifi, though, it is going to be so expensive. I have $400 set aside, lets hope I can get the highest end one...i dont need the highest amount of memory.

same with me, i hope that there is a 60/80 GB touch with safari, that would be sick for $400 max $450

you can, you should either buy a 3yr warranty either with bestbuy or apple.
i personally favor bestbuy's since they ship it to apple to be fixed, but if it breaks 4 times, they replace it or you can ask them for a store credit for the original amount.

i do! last night on the thread with him was fun. he gave us some "hints" and such. where is he??

i am also hoping that they include safari. if there is wifi there better be safari!

after today....1 more day!!!!!!!! :eek::eek::eek::apple:
 
just for the record, was Don Bagles faking, because we got all the pricing info from him...so whatever we heard could be wrong. I feel like Apple wouldnt make the touch with the smaller gb of memory TOO expensive.

i think don bagles was right about the pricing being similar to the iPod Photo, 349 for the low-end and 449 for the high end

yea, i agree. Because over $400 for a low end touchscreen doesnt seem like Apple. They want everyone to buy one. (i hope lol)
 
well unless apple fits something like the fat-pod (with video) between the iPod-nano and the iPod-touch they definetly will not outprice people by charging 549 for any model. its just not apple to run the average customer out
