The Beatles Appear in iTunes Store

Does anybody know when Blu-Ray will be available on a Mac?

Last I remember reading somewhere that Steve Jobs said not anytime soon because he thinks digital/downloading/streaming movies is the feature. But look at apple TV all you can get is 720p and how about those 3D Blue-Rays? (I really do not care about 3D really).

The Beatles on iTunes??? WHO CARES????? Anyone who enjoys them, probably already ripped all their music onto their computer by now. Stop trying to deflect attention for the late release of IOS 4.2! WASTE OF TIME!

I hate to be "that guy", but we're not even halfway through November yet. Not meeting a rumor site's possible timetable doesn't make the update late.

Yeah, waste of time! Because if there's anything I want, it's the legal team being diverted to write iOS code instead, cuz' it can't be THAT difficult, right? :D

Mind = blown.

Not really. Still cool, though.

Negative comments

There's a reason why there's so much negativity regarding this. Apple is the one who makes a big deal out of everything. So you have to expect the same level of criticism. Granted, many people are being smart alecs about it. However, Steve Jobs is known for being a bit of a smart alec over the years (much to my delight). So we continue in that same spirit. I've personally enjoyed reading all the smart alec remarks.

Could someone email me when the new version of Final Cut Studio comes out?

The prices seem pretty ridiculous as usual with iTunes content. Amazon has far better prices for the physical product. And in my state, iTunes charges sales tax whereas Amazon doesn't. Unless a person wants to buy individual songs, they're getting ripped off on the box set and albums if they buy them through iTunes.

But you are forgetting that Amazon doesn't have the Beatles for download, iTunes does. I don't buy CDs and haven't for about 10 years. This is a major win for iTunes.

I won't be buying the Beatles on iTunes. Like many others, I've acquired anything that I wanted by the Beatles years ago and have had them on my iPod for years.

You mean something like "IS IT SNAPPY?" :D

person A (sobbing): "Hey why cant *I* get the Beatles on my Zoon?" (sic)

persons B-Z in unison: "Whats a Zoon?!"

Bwahahahahhaha!

case closed
This could be the funeral for the Zoon-off to e-heaven along with the 'iPhone killer' known as KIN.

Looks like MS has a hired squad of Gates-lickers to click "negative" on this story;
How could there be anything negative-you either want to buy beatles songs or you dont

The Beatles are so over-rated it's not even funny.

To dirty communist hippies that lived in Berkeley in the late 60s and early 70s, they are gods. Even if some of those dirty hippies grew up to be fascist capitalist dictators. ;)

Jobs in his early life saved up for a trip to India and became a Buddhist, which is also in the mold of the Beatles. Obviously they mean a lot to him. Peace and love, peace and love.

As a Beatles fan... I don't care!! LOL

Too much hype in my opinion..... Still happy that Apple secured the deal, but this kind of publicity for it seems pointless.

Still, not long til some kind person uploads a torrent of it!!!! LOL

I'm not forgetting anything. There is no justification for a 75% markup on each of the albums. But a lot of consumers are too lazy and/or stupid to research before buying, so good for Apple and The Beatles. They'll make a ton of cash from ignorant impulse buyers.

This is all well and good. Yes iTunes is first to sell The Beatles electronically but think of this point.

As far as I know this music should be going public domain soon. Isn't the point of paying for music to encourage artists to write more music?
